have played to change simcard...usualy I always shut the phone before, but for a reason, I changed my sim without shutting down the phone.. .from there the phone have rebooted by itself but stayed on the at&t logo!! it provoked probably a kind of glitch.. have waited at least half an hours but stayed at the at&t logo....so I knew that I was in problem from there.....lolllllll
soooo I had to reflash....and set-up from zero.....naturally I didn't be able to just flash the kernel...wich I'm positive will have revive the phone......but lg tool only make a complet new flashing....
end of story......shut your phone before changing your sim....

Urgent help needed! Boot loop!?

Hi, I urgently need help,
I was just watching something when I kept hearing a strange noise, turns out it is the vibrate that the phone does when you turn it on, I looked at it and it was on the Google logo and kept restarting, tried a battery pull, taking sim out etc, and it's still doing it.
I have no idea why it's doing this as I haven't rooted or installed any custom roms or anything?!
I have an interview tomorrow in London and really need to have Google Maps etc, as well as being able to contact people I'm supposed to be meeting! I can't believe this has happened at all, let alone at this moment!
Edit - I'm using the GSM version, running 4.0.1.
Thanks in advance
Bump..
There is something called odin which you can use to flash the stock rom, is that correct? Or fastboot?
I suppose what I want to know, is if you can flash the stock image without being rooted/having an unlocked bootloader? And does it have to be a certain image file?

You can used odin to load a stock image and it will return the phone to the day you got it. You can also use the adb/fastboot method. Search the forums here and you will find very clear instructions for both methods.
Same happened to me a while back and was easy to fix.
Good luck.
Ok thanks!
Edit- Ok I fixed it with the ODIN method, instructions here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20302409&postcount=2
So glad I don't have to send it to get repaired, bit pissed off I lost some of my pictures and stuff (I was 30% through GTA III!) but what can you do I guess! At least I have a working phone again

Sprint LG G2 Boot looping

hello,
This morning i was using my phone like every day, but i notice that i had no signal so i decided to restart the phone. When it restarted out of nowhere the phone started to boot loop.. i didnt do anything for it to start doing that.. after a long while trying to fix it i gave up and got into recovery and decided to clean install the rom. It did install but after 1 minute of being on the screen it would boot loop.. I download it the same rom and installed it and still kept doing the same thing.. i had a back up so i decided to install it which i did but again after 40 seconds of start up it would boot loop.. finally, i decided to use the LG Flash tool TWICE and it did work but again after a little while the phone turns off and on.. idk what lese to do??? any ideas?
Check if it displays your IMEI in the Settings. If not you should check if you've got a EFS Backup.

OHH wow!! so im basically stock with a brand new phone that boots on and off ..Wow.. well if you ever find an answer can you please share it with me!!! thank you in advance.
I have no idea what kind of backup you are talking about but could we use it from another G2?
Maybe this will help you find out what a EFS-Backup is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451390
I've seen the question somewhere else (to use a backup from another g2) and they said, that it will boot but don't login into the network, cause you'll get a IMEI with 00000 or something like this.
Don't know a answer. I think I must send my G2 to LG and pay a lot of money IF they'll fix it.

OHH i see what you mean... I have added EFS backup to the IOroot scripts so that everyone that roots will have a copy of their EFS partitions on the computer you run IOroot from. Regardless, this current thread will still be a good "heads up" and an alternative for those who insist on using other shady root methods or for those who just want another way to back things up.
I did use IOroot, does that mean that if i connect it to the computer and try to root it again it would fix it? you think???

In the Thread is a step-by-step tutorial how to restore EFS-Files. Make a Backup of these 2 files before you root your phone again! Don't know, if those 2 files got overwritten (maybe with the damaged data) when you root your phone again.

Well just wanted to let you know that i sent my phone to LG for them to fix it. They didnt charge me and all they did was re-flash the rom. if you havent fixed it you should try sending it to them.

Anyone have this issue?

So last night, I guess my phone was trying to download and install security update from samsung and failed. My battery died later cause it was low and after I recharged my phone and turned it on, my phone literally took a crap. Everything crashes even settings. Cant send a text out. Bluetooth wont turn on etc.
Now after I back up my photos somehow, what would be the best way to restore to keep root and CWM?
Settings-restore?
dl note 3 os then flash with CWM?
Thanks guys.
Hmmmm

I did have a similar issue. My quick fix wasn't so quick though. I completely formatted, flashed stock ROM back, chainfire root, CWM to bootloader then you're free. I got my files from galaxynote3root.com

So its weird, after I let the phone stay on for like an hour, everything seems to load properly and nothing crashes. Planning on reformatting, but I am kind of worried on why this happened. I am on stock rom.

It's possible during your update critical files were missed do to power loss and were replaced on reboot? I unfortunately was not able to get passed the bootscreen to recovery or the system itself. So i was forced to divert back to stock firmware and start from the beggining. So if you run into any more issues you might start there. If you kept root all should be well i believe. :good:

Well my phone didn't die when it was updating, the update failed well before that. I was just saying that after it did die and I turned it on, everything went downhill from there. Really weird

G3 Not recognising SIM card after update

Hi all,
I received a push notification for a software update last night, which I dilligently downloaded and installed. When it came to the 'optimising apps' stage it froze about halfway for about an hour, so I decided to remove the battery. After turning it back on it just continued optimising apps and completed the update successfully. However, it now doesn't recognise that a SIM card is inserted, and I have no idea what to do to rectify this. I've not rooted my phone or installed any custom ROMs, and have no idea how to do so.
When I attempt to look at the phone's hardware/software info, I get the error "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" and am unable to view much of the phone information. I can however see that it's on Android 5.0, Kernel 3.4.0, and software version V20i-EUR-XX.
Any support would be greatly appreciated
I seriously need some help with this! Anyone?
Have you tried pulling the battery and the SIM card, too? Hold the power button for a few seconds while they are both out and leave them out for a few minutes, then reinsert both and boot it.
If that doesn't work and you are running pure stock, then the carrier will support you. You could always take it to them and explain what happened.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't actually purchase my phone through my carrier though. I called LG and they said I'd have to send it off to them and it'd take up to two weeks.
Do you think flashing a custom ROM would fix this?
Not sure which variant you have or how that may work where you are.... If the device is carrier branded and running their software, they will likely support it.
Have a look at this thread and the suggestions posted there, it may help:
[Q] Sold a dodgy LgG3? Help!
Typically, when it comes to issues relating to connecting to the carrier, the stock ROM is better suited than a custom ROM. You'd want to get this working before moving to custom software.

I reckon if you tried updating stock firmware and it went wrong then send it back to LG as there might be a hardware fault. If you flash a Custom ROM and the problem persists then you're screwed with your warranty.

Oneplus 3 Problem after unbrick

Hello, Good Day to all! I wont take too much of your time but please help me!
My Oneplus 3 suddenly bricked itself, I dont know how or why but it just powered off and then when I tried to boot it up it was hard bricked. Now I've managed to fix it by following the Mega Unbrick guide for Oneplus 3 and it boots up, but the problem is it crashes during boot, and it randomly crashes after a few minutes which then leads to the boot logo crash, I have to "let it rest" so to speak for a few minutes so that it would bypass the boot crashes. Once it got past the crashes some apps are not responding like Twitter, Messenger and so on. Stock apps are fine it's the newly downloaded ones that are not responding, I tried numerous factory resets using the stock recovery and TWRP but no luck.
I am on Nougat 7.1.1 on the latest OxygenOS version, Unlocked bootloader with systemless root. I haven't tried flashing a custom rom the only thing I tried to flash was the Stock Rom. I also noticed that the WiFi and the Data/Signal was particularly weaker since the messages would not load, I need to actually check the app for it to sync. When I got Messenger somehow working, the messages would not even load up.
Any ideas what the problem is? Any help is deeply appreciated, Thanks in Advance!
Hi.. Good Day

This sounds like an hardware issue, have you tried method 2 of the unbrick tool, perhaps you could try to re-download it, have you unzipped it? If it boots let it boot and then upgrade to a new OOS version and then you can do whatever you want. If it doesn't work after you followed my suggestions you might wanna contact Oneplus, don't worry even though your bootloader is unlocked you still have full warranty..

I did the method 2 of the unbrick tool, I've done it like twice or thrice now. I have the latest version of OOS, I am afraid to flash a custom rom because after it flashes in TWRP it immediately crashes, it does not even give me a chance to clear the dalvik or reboot. It crashes no reboot or anything.
But thank you I didn't expect anyone would reply well I regained my faith in humanity in forums
Sidenote: What custom rom would you suggest? or is the stock rom better?

I would suggest VertexOS. It's simple and really fast, EAS and Voxpopuli takes peformance per watt to the next level, if you like feature you might try Zenixx RR.
