hi, i'm trying to flash the rom RUU_Rhodium_S2_HTC WWE EastEurope_2.07.401.1_Radio_Rhodium_4.49.25.91_Signed_Ship but i get error 262 during the update process (usually at 22%, 38% or 42%). i turned off firewall and virus protection, but nothing changed. can anybody help?
Try flashing from the sd card.
i don't have sd card
edit: i can't even flash the rom that was on the phone before flashing anything... RUU_Rhodium_S_TMO_DE_1.85.111.1_Radio_Rhodium_4.49.25.05_Signed_Ship.exe (t-mobile ger)
can it be because of the hard spl?
edit2: i got a microsd, flashed the rom with that and now its working, thanks

Hi
I have a HTC Cruise(Polaris), I tried a view roms from the Polaris section, but I prefered goig back to my old rom. So when I tried to flash the Dutch Dumped Rom I got stuck at 15% I rebooted the pda. So now all I see are tree colors.
When I try to upgrade the phone to the WWE release version I get: "error 294 invalid vender ID". After it hits 1%.
- How can I CID unlock this phone?

With Polaris_WWE_B_20273_1_3_3_V09_Lt_Swtos I get a ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR. Even when I retry. Also with the RUU_Polaris_HTC_NLD_SEA_1.28.404.2_radio_sign_25.69.30.05H_1.58.25.14_Ship
anyone can help me out?
Extract the RUU_Signed.nbh file from the downloaded ROM and try flashing from a microSD card. Directions can be found on the boards.

i renamed the RUU_Signed.nbh and pushed down the camera button and rebooted, but doesn't work. Could you shed some light on this?
I have a completely different suggestion. Have you tried a hard reset BEFORE you attempt the burn?
I do not know or have experience of your hardware. I have burned new ROMs on two other makes of PDA and experienced the same problem. A hard reset or return to factory state works.
I have concluded that a burn often fails because the new image does not have enough memory space on the PDA to load the new ROM image and the small program that executes the burn. If you don't go back to the "factory state" by removing all your own installed programs and data first, then there may be insufficient memory to complete the burn. Precisely where it fails in the burn depends upon how much spare memory is available, so in other cases it will fail at a different percentage of the burn.
Worth a try?
solved it with mtty
Hi,
I cannot flash anything on my Rhodium TMo.
Everytime I flash with any Rom or radio, I got error 302 and stuck in the middle of proccess.
I cannot go in the windows phone, it stucks on 3 colors RGB.
What should I do?
I've this situation for almost a day, and I feel panic now..
I've tried task29, but it stucks on 71%.
I've tried flashing NRG roms, and always stuck in 1%.
I've tried flashing radio, and always stuck in 41%.
It's already HardSPLed.
Really, I don't know what to do...
Please help..
I'm guessing you are flashing true the active sync method. If not please tell.
1. Go into the bootlaoder, plugin your usb (you should see USB on your phone) and flash like you normal would (this way you don't use active sync)
2. Flash true your SD card. Place RHODIMG.nbh in the root of your storage card.
I flashed the Cyanogen Mod 7 onto the phone about 3 months ago, and today tried a different ROM as my girlfriend's O2 card (It's a UK Orange phone) wouldn't work in it, and the SIM unlock code which I paid for wasn't working - the guy I bought the code from said it's probably ROM-related.
I've tried flashing a LeeDroid ROM, and an INSERTCOIN ROM but neither work. With Leedroid I get bootloops, and with the other it gets to a colourful background but nothing else on screen and no other buttons do anything.
I've gone into bootloader mode and tried just running an exe file (for example an HTC_WWE_BRAVO_date_version number_etc from the laptop with the phone connected via USB, but this doesn't work either.
At my wit's end now as I think I've bricked the phone...
Can anyone help at all?
Why does flashing ruu not work?
ur supposed to be in fastboot. not hboot when trying to restore using ruu
Thanks for the tip -
I get as far as an updating signature message for about 10 seconds, then it crashes out with:
ERROR [131]: CUSTOMER ID ERROR
The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone.
Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again.
This problem is easy to fix. Create goldcard with linux, put this in your desire and then flash ruu again:
http://www.nazriawang.com/2010/04/how-to-create-goldcard-with-ubuntu.html
I managed to successfully create a goldcard, but upon flashing the RUU .exe file, it gets to the 'updating signature' part (before the percentage completion bar has even started) and then crashes out with the following message:
Error [132] SIGNARURE (sic) ERROR
Please try to flash again with a different ROM update utility (or words to that effect).
EDIT: Now working. Thanks MatDroid!!
