[Q] GPS won't lock after install of SentinelROM - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As above, I recently flashed SentielROM and i installed TopNTP.
Now my GPS won't lock on with either google maps or Endomondo.
I've tried resetting my GPS setting in TopNTP and uninstalling it to no avail.
Please help,
Thanks,
Del

Managed to fix it.
Dunno what happened but I just reinstalled topntp and rebooted.

Try deleting your google account from your phone and sign in again?
I think I had this problem before and resolved it by doing this.

Was the gps radio on before opening the app? Does the app work at all? Is the error only when closing?
Thanks for replying.. The GPS rĂ¡dio is on. Gmaps apparently is working fine, showing my correct position. But when i click a place on the map and ask to navigate, it suddendly crashes.. I will factory reset the phone, lets see if it works

Is turn by turn navigation enabeled in your country? Don't thinks its active everywhere yet.. might be reason for crashing

I had this problem two nights ago when trying to search for a place via the navigation app (of which I'd then want gps navigation to). It kept crashing on me, so I opened the actual Maps apk, searched for the destination via Maps, then drove down into the location and asked for navigation. Worked fine then.
This morning I'm trying it again, and everything works fine on all fronts. This is in the U.S., stock 4.0.2 on VZN.

GPS won't stop searching

Hello folks,
I am currently using Cm10 m2 rom, SGH-T999 (AT&T),JB 4.1.2, Nova launcher for about two weeks now. I was able to use GPS on google maps in the morning but when i looked at my phone later, the battery was 20% gone from the constant GPS searching for signal. Google maps is unable to locate my location but my other apps were able to locate me. I have tried disabling all running services but this searching for GPS signal thing is contantly showing up...does anyone knows an app that will tell me what app is requesting gps signal?
Thanks in advance!
If maps can't get your location then that's probably the issue.
Have you tried restarting the phone?

Yeah, i rebooted a couple of times, wipe out dalvik cache, removed battery and uninstall google maps. When google map was uninstalled, the GPS searching for signal continues to run.
GPS on google maps works now..but the gps signal search is still going on. I am disabling gps for now.
I'm having the same issue!
I think this happened after I downloaded maps for my area, and still working on a fix though

Google search crashes problem

My phone is running Cyanogenmod 10 without any problems. But yesterday I found out that Google search has a update, so updated the app and since then it keeps crashing. Every time t tells me "unfortunately Google search has stopped working." Is this a known issue in the Cyanogenmod and is there a solution for this?

No its not a known problem, try clearing data and if that doesn't work try deleting the app and reinstall it again...

Sadly, I tried that numerous times but it keeps giving me the same error. I deleted the app, restarted the phone and installed it again without any changes... Now I am using my phone without this app, the only change is that I haven't got Google Now anymore :'(. (but I can life with that)

Location services help

Hello everyone,
For some reason, after a rom flash recently, my location access doesn't work on Google maps.
I'm running tasks 4/12b, but the problem started a few versions ago.
I've gone to settings>location access and also the in app settings
Anyone point me in a different direction?
"please enable Google Apps location access"

when was the last time you did a full wipe before installing a release? if you've been dirty flashing the updates, this may be your issue.
Probably a couple flashes ago.
Guess that should always be my first bet...
