Do most people enable zram? I'm having a few issues with apps being killed while in the background that aren't supposed to such as Pandora and maps. I'm running slim bean and lean kernel. Thanks for any help!

650mb of ram isn't enough now days, the 976mb in my nexus 7 barely is, zram is slow though. You need a full 1200-2048mb to run good now days

So I Wonder whats a good app to kill tasks and what should be the regular apps running on the background..
With 4.0.4 stock i was always on 320~350 now on AOKP+ francos im over 450, so what could I kill and would be a normal ram use?
Again what could be a good task killer

the best thing for android is u DONT need to care about ram. android is way smarter than u think. it kills apps when it needs by itself, so u dont need a task killer
You have a Galaxy Nexus... Don't worry about ram usage. The phone will work at the same speed if you have 500mb of ram or 5000

Don't use a task killer. Free RAM is wasted RAM. Stop being OCD about it and just let the device run.
RAM memory! Ha. That's as annoying and funny as PIN number!

The reboot problem pretty surely has nothing to do with running out of RAM.
My black note seems gets lagger and lagger as time passes. It was pretty fast after rebooting but after a couple of times it becomes very very lag, when i check, the ram was 312/356. Anybody experiencing the same problem? or anyone could provide solution regarding this? your help is much appreciated

Loads of people complaint that Cow's kernel is lag, even with V6 enabled but Cow's Slim Shady's kernel suffers lag-free.
Do you know EXACTLY why the reason is so?

CWG's Slim n V4 ROM uses two diff kernel from arco68 GitHub n is not that aggressive designed for none OC n OC respectively.
I have declared that if you want stable no FC go for these.
If you want OC for V4 running at 1.6GHz 24x7....I certify it is stable but the one thing lack is that Neo Instructions integrated in Bionic V2 which drives the quality of the graphics display but the kernel made by CWG is too aggressive of which some users may face BS etc.

BTW, what is BS?
Even in Hybrid 2, many experience lag. Is it because of the kernel or V6 script which has high LMK? I just wanna ensure MOST PEOPLE what the main problem would be.
One more thing, are u using Hybrid 2?
Because i wanna ask you how can i re-supercharge it?
The V6 that Rio put is integrated with init.d as well as build.prop, that's why i do not know how to re-supercharge in this case.
lag?
I been using the Blacknote 2nd Gen since it release, and it is 1st time I flash a custom rom.
its v6 default set to Super UL (125mb ram) which really smooth, but too high so me, so I re-supercharge it into multitasking which is 75mb free ram since I flashed and restore app+data from TB. Everything went smooth.
even 3-4days ram always maintain at 65-80mb ram. quite ok for me.
I also hear in FB galaxy W forum many face lag in blacknote 2nd but not me.
maybe I re-supercharge it? hrm ...
and in the FB galaxy W forum group got developer makes some tweak using latest stock kernel and many use it and commented bring better improvement and stability.

Bro,
How did u re-supercharge it??
Because the V6 in Hybrid is integrated with init.d but not just with build.prop alone.
In the Samsung W group, what did the "developer" did when tweaking the latest stock kernel?
Because in my view, the "developer" DID NOT tweak any kernel but he just replace Hybrid's kernel with stock kernel. That's it.

Slim 3.5
Anyway - what rom is the best, is a personal thing. What works for me might not work for you Just try some roms and stick with what suits you best.

Thanks! Actually I am running Slim 3.5 but sometimes have experience FC on browser was thinking to try Milestone 5.
I would recommend M5 or the AOKP Nightlies. Very stable, no FC and LOTS of tweaks and stuff in ROM Control in the phone menu.

Its really personal decision. As for me, I'm using AOKP M5 + Franco Kernel. Buttery smooth and very good battery. Absolutely love it. Also tried with "stock" faux kernel and its really good, but I prefer franco because its really fast and good for battery.

Hey everybody I'm on cm9 beta 3 and I really don't know anything about this other than when I run v6 supercharger to check if it's supercharged and mess with it and the like, I see that my current minfrees are listed as all 1's, but everything else is well in order everything is in effect and running and it also says I'm 100% supercharged so I don't know whats wrong if anything, I just thought I'd check here. I'm very sure that you're wrong.
ICS is as messed up as Gingerbread, if not more so due to how it handles the new Previous App priority.
http://android.mimic.ca/
Well I don't use it and my performance is fine, battery is fine, and the system always gives me around 200MB of free ram.
I tried it for ICS and all I noticed was a slight snappiness and less multitasking capability.
I have a feeling the ram is handled as it should be.

Hey Guys, just want a kinda confirmation, that it´s the "nexus´s" fault or the nfs´s that i got a "slowmotion-alltimemode"
i think i play the game with 0,6x of the normal speed.
i use franco kernel @1,2ghz, 512mhz Gpu.
so has the nexus not enough power or is it a bug by the game?
also tried oc @1,4ghz, still the same :/

The slowmotion is because of kernel 100 %,i have now aokp milestone 1 and with different kernel dosen't have slow motion,on build 1 was franco kernel.
Using franco512 kernel now with Performance and NFS works fine. I'm running XenonHD

yes, it seems to be working normal, just installed via nexus toolkit stock rom (about 5minutes). it works well, but it don´t want to use stock hope with 4.2 roms it´s gonna work. if you´re gonna upgrade a rom and fullwiping anyway you can test it
