Problem HTC Wildfire S - Rom EQDKP 3.5 V5.2 - HTC Wildfire S

Hi All,
I have installed this rom but on every reboot I have this problem:
Everything was working, but on every reboot I got the message :
"System UIDs Inconsistent. UIDs on the system are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable."
I push the only one option that i can:
I feel lucky
and the seems to be that all is ok but I'm still not sure...what can I do and how can I solve this problem?
Thanks and bye, Elisa.

I hope you've performed a clean install of ROM ie, in CWM recovery - wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik-cache, wipe battery stats, and then install the ROM and perform again all of the wipe as mentioned.

Uhmmm...I don't understand....sorry!
Can u explain excatly what I need to do?
Sorry but I'm really a disaster with smartphone!
Thanks and bye, Elisa.

I hope you've exactly followed the installation instructions mentioned in the ROM thread step by step -> [ROM] [2.3.5] EQDKP-Sense3.5 V 5.2
Not following any of the steps should break a clean install I'm afraid, so errors may happen. Anyways as I don't own this device, it may not be wise for me to give suggestions anymore. Soon a Moderator will move this thread into Wildfire S Q&A section, so members using this phone should help you out. Thanks and regards.

I think that i had made all the instruction but, for being sure, I will remake all the procedure now!
Thank u!

I remade akk the operation mentioned...and I'm sure to have done all but now I still have some problems...
Sometimes I receive this type of message:
the application apri sense plugin manager (process htc.opensense) has stopped unexpectedly
The application google play store (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpecte
and so on...
What can I so?
Thanks and bye, Elisa.

lots of reasons i think you should use this one.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2346687
it's latest sense 3.5 rom and instructions are crystal clear.wipe everything and install rom.
if you are going to use int2ext scripts flash them right after rom..go to advanced and wipe sd-ext and then reboot.
then these all won't be an issues i guess.good luck

Hi,
I can't understand this:
if you are going to use int2ext scripts flash them right after rom..go to advanced and wipe sd-ext and then reboot.
sorry but i'm really a disaster! Can u explain?
I think that I will make this passage:
1. wipe data/factory reset
2. In advanced Wipe Dalvik Cache
3. In advanced Wipe Battery Stats
4. Install zip from sdcard file Marvellous Sense 3.5 18-7-13
5. Reboot
something wrong or more? I need to format the sd card before doing this operation?
Thanks and bye, Elisa.

nah it's okay..
you have to also wipe cache..not only factory reset.
what problem you are facing now?
ps if you havent wipe cache then it's reason of your problems

Opssssssssssss.....I never made a wipe cache!
And now I still have the problem of the first post....and more I can't use facebook.....see this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43832660#post43832660
If I made now a wipe cache I need to reinstall all the rom? Do u think that with wipe cache I can resolve the facebook problem?
Thanks and bye, Elisa.

you either didn't wipe the dalvik cache... or u did restored system apps from titanium back up/other back up... that's why u r facing the problem...
you have to go to recovery first... if u have the rom installed long press power button and select the boot into recovery option... or press power + volume down together to enter to hboot menu and select recovery from there...
the other things are easy.... there is no reason to face this type of problems... make sure u didn't do the things i mentioned in bold font in this comment and followed the installation instructions properly...
also I'd suggest use the odexed version of the rom and use data2sd link is given in the post. Int2sd or link2sd etc. won't work with this. If u don't flash data2sd after installation the room will keep showing errors.. For data2sd u need to create 3 PRIMARY PARTITIONS in your memory card. in the post the instructions are given. All u have to do is read the instructions and understand it to use properly.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply but I'm really sure to have wipe the dalvik cache! And I'm really sure that I have not restored the application from any backup!
The only one thing that I haven't do is the new partition on the SD Card because they are already created from the previus version of your Rom....can be this the problem? I need to make from zero the partition?
I made this passage copied from your wonderful guide:
1. Reboot in recovery
2. Then wipe data/factory reset
3. Then advanced then Wipe Dalvik Cache & Wipe Battery Stats
4. Go back then install zip from sdcard
5. Choose EQDKPV5.1(*-*-2012).zip & flash
6.After that Reboot & Wait 3-10 minutes until ROM is fully booted. Then take the battery out.
7.After that Reboot into recovery again to install data2sd in this case no need of wipe/format etc. just install Data2SDInstallerES.zip & reboot.
I already flash the file data2sd but I don't this application on phone.....
What do u suggest to do? Can i try with a wipe cache?
Please note that I tried 4 times to install the new rom in last 4 days!
Thank u so much! Elisa.

In Sense 3.5, the app Facebook is integrated in Friend Stream. So if you already created an account, you just have to open this app, and it will show your Facebook content. If you use several social networks, you can choose which one you want to see by clicking on the bar at the top of the app ; a dropdown list will appear with 'Facebook', 'Twitter', etc.

I tried tu use Friend stream and I can put my login on facebook....I click ok but then this error happen:
The application Apri sense Plugin manager (process com.htc.opensense) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again
I try again but this error appera every time and I can't open facebook
Please help me!

That's strange. Reboot in recovery, wipe data, system, sd-ext, cache and dalvik cache. Reboot again in recovery. Install Marvellous Sense 3.5 and tell me the options you chose. Then reboot and it should be ok...

Yes....that's really strange but I'm so unlucky!
I will try to reinstall the ROM...but I think that I will use the EQDKP ones because I read that on the Marvellous there's some problem....what do u think about this?
And more: I haven't made the format on the SD Card because the partition are already created from the previous install....can be this the problem? I need to make from zero the partition?
Really thank!

EQDKP is very stable and it has the best benchmark of all the ROMs for the WildFire S, but I do not like its design But if you do, it is better than Marvellous Sense I think.
When did you buy your phone ? Maybe it is 2012 model.
You can also try to use this recovery instead of ClockWorkMod. Put your phone in bootloader mode, then flash it with fastboot : fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.2.2.0-marvel.img.
One thing that you can do is to wipe nothing but to use this script (flash it, reboot recovery and flash the rom).

Thank!
I download the 2 files (SuperWipeMarvelcEdition.zip and openrecovery-twrp-2.2.2.0-marvel.img.md5)....but now...which one do u suggest to use? Can u explain the passage for using it?
Sorry but, as u understand, I'm really a disaster!
Many, many thanks!
PS: Yes, the phone is from 2012!

First, reboot in recovery.
Second, flash SuperWipeblablabla
Third, reboot recovery
Fourth, flash EQDKP 5.2
Fifth, reboot your phone and wait
Sixth, use this tutorial to tell me if your WFS is 2012 model.

I dont understand u'r problem actually... If u hadn't recovered system apps.. But the error message you are reporting is the one of conflicting system apps...
That can not happen in my rom or any other rom... The thing izi501 telling try it... But I don't think your recovery has a problem...
Clearly while flash a rom UID will be changed... But I dont understand why your device's UID isn't changing!!! The old UID staying intact thats why u r seeing that error... Is it problem with this rom only??? Have you tried any other rom???
Also about facebook... I have not faced any problem while uploading the rom... I'll test it tonight again though... (Its an app ported from HTC Sensation which has Sense version 3.0 as HTC explorer {the device from which eqdkp is ported} didnt have an working FB app)
Anyways... Take your device to a local phone store/htc customer care and try to S-off the device... (May be you did something wrong with the unlocking...)
You could also try different recoveries, make sure that they are for ur device if ur model is gsm, try only the recoveries for gsm devices... There is a chance of bricking while u flash wrong recovery/radio etc... Be careful about it... Have patience... Read everything in a post before trying to use any mod... There may be important things that U are missing...
About partitioning: http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html
Download the free home edition... And make three partitions serially... No1: Rest No2: about 1000mb EXT4 No3: about 418mb Linux swap Make sure all partitions are primary...........Its important...

The single easiest way to handle contacts is through your Google account. Assuming you're signed onto the phone (Gmail), your contacts should sync online automatically. Sometimes this doesn't work as well as it should. You can go online and look at your Gmail address book. All that stuff should sync up with what's on your device. If not, edit it there, then sync it up with your device.
When you flash a new ROM, sign on with your Gmail account and your entire address book will re-sync with your device. It's just that simple. And it kicks ass!
sweet thanks
sweet thanks!!! i was thinkin it was something like that .. my phone before this was a Blackberry Storm.. and backing up info was easy on that..
one more question..
Select wipe factory/data reset.
Now, wipe cache and dalvick cache. ?
is this pretty much self explanatory when i get into this..
i am just trying to think of all questions before i do this .. was thinkin of doing this tonight.. and i really dont want to mess up my phone..
thank you again!

God... I HATED the S2....
No need to really wipe the cache. That's usually included in the factory reset/data wipe. Dalvik cache is good to wipe though. And if you wanna be EXTRA thorough, go down to "mounts and storage" and format /system.
Also, feel free to ignore any recommendations that you wipe 3 times. It doesn't do anything except put wear and tear on a type of memory that's already got a limited life span. The more you do it, the slower NAND tends to get.
these are some instructions i got for one sens rom..
Instructions:
Begin by copying the ROM and you downloaded from the link above, to the root of your SD card.
Once the file is copied, reboot your device into recovery mode.
Once in the recovery, make a Nandroid backup.
Select wipe factory/data reset.
Now, wipe cache and dalvick cache.
Select install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard.
Select the ROM you copied to your SD card and let it install.
That is it, once the ROM is installed, reboot the phone. For updates and queries, vi
and this is another one..
1. Put Rom on the root of your SD Card
2. Compare MD5 Sum
3. Reboot to Recovery
4. Wiping these:
Main Screen:
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
Advanced:
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Wipe Battery Stats
Mounts and Storage:
Format-
/boot
/system
/datadata
/data
/cache
5. Install Rom from SD Card
6. Reboot and enjoy!
Note: First boot is really long!
since i have not done this yet .. i dont know what some of this stuff is..

Last year I made RZRecovery for the original Droid. It was a huge success, since then I have been asked to port to other devices. So here,
about 1 year later (after a lot of work... Remember, I *do not* know C), I have done just that. This will bring all the features of the old
RZR plus a few new ones including the epic rom.tgz install format from the days of yore to any device. I have built this recovery
specifically to handle all devices without the need for a recompile (except for Tegra2-based devices, they have to be recompiled because of
some libc bugs). I have made img files for a few devices to start with:

Installing it now. Always interested in something new.
I rarely ask questions anymore but how does this install. I get an install error in CWM Recovery doing it as a zip.
It's a bad image file when I extract and rename to PG76.IMG.
Sorry for the silly question.

[TUTORIAL][S-OFF!]290 MB Data Partition!!! & Installing CyanogenMod 7 Step By Step!

[TUTORIAL][S-OFF!]290 MB Data Partition!!! & Installing CyanogenMod 7 Step By Step!
Now with a video tutorial for download!!!
A while ago I came across a great scrip from Firerat and I figured it was time to highlight it again as he's updated it constantly.
I thought I would take the time to put together a tutorial on how to do the following:
1/ Change the size of your /System, /Data, and /Cache partitions to give you a HUGE amount more /Data space for efficiently sized ROM's like CyanogenMod 7.x
2/ Show you how to install CyanogenMod 7.x with these custom partition sizes and verify that they are as expected.
What you will need:
A prerequisite is a custom recover, preferably Alquez's Unofficial CWM Recovery 5.0.2.6
1/ To download and place on your SD Card the latest build of Alquez's CM7.x. (Do not unzip!)
2/ Google apps (GAPPS) for CyanongenMod 7.x, which you will also place on your SD card (Do not unzip!)
3/Firerat's 1.5.8 MTD Boot Script which you will also place on you SD card (Do not unzip!)
4/ Firerat's 1.5.8 MTD Recovery Script which you will also place on you SD card (Do not unzip!)
5/ The custom mtdpart.txt file that defines your custom partition sizes. Place this on your SD card in the same folder as the boot and recovery scripts. For ease of explanation let's just put all the required files on the root of your SD card.
Now you have all the files that you are going to need it's time to begin:
1/ Alter the txt file to suit your need but do not hit enter. Make sure there is no carriage return taking you to a second linein the file.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2/Now save it as "mtdpartmap.txt" (For CM7x you can use 145 20 with no worries). Don't listen to people telling you that 125 5 is a good setting. They don't know what CM7.x you are using and I do. Trust me.
3/ As mentioned earlier download and opy the recovery file, the boot file, the mtdpartmap.txt, Alquez's latest CM7.x nightly, and the latest version of GAPPS to the root of your SD card
5/Remove the rear cover of your phone
6/ Remove your phone's battery and replace it while unplugged
7/ Ensure you have a good charge before you begin (Say 30% or more)
8/ Press and hold Volume Down+Power at the same time to reboot into CWM or Razor recovery. (We will be using CWM Unofficial 5.0.2.6 for this tutorial)
9/ Perform a Nandroid backup of your current ROM to make sure you have something to go back to should you wish!!!
10/ Choose wipe data/Factory reset from the menu and follow the prompts.
11/ Go to the Mounts and Storage Menu and follow the prompts to format your system partition.
12/ Go back to the main menu and choose Install zip from SD card and follow the prompts to install the Recovery zip that will set your mount points for your partitions and give you the space you are looking for. (WHEN DONE BE CAREFUL! THERE IS ANOTHER IMPORTANT STEP TO PERFORM HERE IN THE NEXT STEP!!!)
**Notice it now says to wipe system, cache, and data partitions then reboot to recovery. Very important! This is the #1 reason why this fails for people. Read it carefully.
Now here's how to do it!:
1/ Return to the Mounts and Storage Menu
2/ Format the Cache, Data, and System partitions by following the prompts. (DO NOT FORMAT ANYTHING ELSE AND BE CAREFUL TO CHOOSE SYSTEM NOT SD CARD!!!)
Now for part three...
Part 3:..
1/ Go to advanced menu and reboot to recovery
2/ If you are restoring a NANDROID backup do so now using backup/restore and restoring the NANDROID backup you wish to put on the new partitions but beware about trying to restore something onto the new cache and system partitions that is too big for them!!!
**Note! From here on in we are going to skip the screen shots of Install zip from SD, and confirming it. If you haven't gotten this down by now it's perhaps time to head to your local nerd and get him/her or he-she to do this for you.
3/ Installing CM7.x install zip from SD
4/ Install the Google apps GAPPS zip from the SD
5/ Install the boot portion of the script from the SD card. This portion allows your device to find the right start and end points for the newly resized partitions that you created.
**NOTE!!! You must rerun this portion of the script every time you do a wipe and install or wipe and NANDROID restore! If you do not your device will become stuck at the boot splash screen. So keep this script file on your SD card!
6/ Return to recovery main menu and reboot device and enjoy your roomy CM7.x install!
Now:
Let's confirm through Terminal Emulator that your partitions are actually changed!
-Click on the centre home button on the bottom of your screen to bring up the all apps list.
-Scroll across to the T's and load Terminal Emulator by clicking on it.
-Once inside Terminal Emulator type the following followed by Return/Enter on your virtual keyboard:
"busybox df -h"
-This will bring up the list of all the partitions on your system and as you can see your Data partition is now 290 MB, your Cache partition is now 20 MB and your System partition is now 145 MB with 8.8 MB remaining on your system partition. Just enough for integrating updates to your system apps into the System partition.
So that's it!
Now how about moving ahead to my LINK2SD prepping and configuring tutorial and my Speed up your GPS CWM flash update to top it all off!
Well done!

Well CM7 is a speedy ROM as it's well tweaked to begin with and obviously has a low overhead due to the size.
This gives you an additional 120 MB of internal memory! Combine that with LINK2SD and you've got a phone virtually unlimited for apps.
Glad the tutorial helped.
One more thing...
Even though the tutorial show 1.58 beta files the linked files are actually 1.58 final. A little added bonus.
Thanks for the PM question so I could clarify that and please click THANKS if if you appreciate this tutorial.
D
So, overall this increases the internal memory for apps am I right?
Great tutorial mate, will do this on next nightly update with a kernal.
Check this out...
Now with a video tutorial for download!!!
See the first post...
isn`t it easier to flash cm, then just boot into recovery and install data 2 sd, after partitioning your sd card ext4 1 gb + rest fat32 ?
What exactly do you have to do with 1.5.8 MTD Boot Script zip file?
I try to install another ROM (circle battery - change the battery icon) and when I was going to reboot, my phone get stucked at the CyanogenMod logo. It reproduced it again and again. Should I reinstall 1.5.8 MTD Boot Script zip file after doing this or what? Do you know the correct way to install it?
Besides, I pretty good tutorial. Too clearly explanated.
You have too flash the boot script after you flash a new ROM or a backup. That's explained.

Do what you wish of course.
I prefer link2sd and a load of internal fast memory for booting and important apps. A distinguishing feature that data2sd doesn't have.
If your SD card fails you still have your most important stuff with you. Can't say that for DATA2SD or DATA2WHATEVER, etc...

not working for my htc wildfire s a510e after doing all steps and "busybox df -h" show me the data partition size 150 mb and 40 mb was used (

Ok. That's what I thought but I think I did it wrong or something. So the steps are this:
1. Install new ROM or backup.
2. Go to install zip from sd and select the boot.
3. Install it.
4. Reboot the phone.

Yes. Of course this is for a backup or different rom or something. You still have to do the recovery scrip to resize for your initial resizing.

You know, I've tried (probably) every single method posted on these boards about flashing CM7, and yet I can't get it to work properly. This is really the most step-by-step tutorial I've seen and I thought it would work, but no, still no data connection.
With other methods I've tried, they've either disabled both Wi-Fi and mobile data connection, just one of the two, or there's a missing phone/dialer app.
With this one, the Wi-Fi's working, but I still have no data connection. Any ideas as to why this could be?

Did you try the libril fix? What is your radio version?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21147430#post21147430
If you have a different RUU that Euro 2.3.5 then grab your own libril.so from /system/lib on your RUU install and save it to your SD.
Re-install CM7 and replace and set permissions on libril.so
I've followed this tut d33p, but my phone still displays total 150mb internal storage, why?
Strange, I've used this mod also a month ago and it works great.
However I've used slightly different instructions.
Here we go:
put all the required data on the root of your sd card
reboot in recovery
take nandroid backup
go to mounts - format system
factory reset
advanced - wipe dalvic cache
install custom recovery script
reboot in recovery
restore nandroid backup
install custom boot script
reboot
This worked for me, don't know if it works for you guys.
Say it

Flash Failed :'(

Hey guys,
I have a problem... :'(
I tried flashing (with cwmv5.0.2.6) either JellyBread and marcin's cm7.2 and both failed.
I did everything, I backupped all, i factoryresetted, i cleaned cache and dalvik cache.
I flashed it, it says it's succesful... Then i fixed the permissions.
But when i try to boot it up it is stuck at the JellyBread splashscreen of with cm7.2 the samsung one.
And it does NOTHING ! Well, the first time i tried to flash JellyBread it did create android.secure,
Lost&found and somthing else but that was it.
I can still boot in recovery so it's not hard-bricked or anything...
I tried restoring my nandroid backups: "Can't mount /system!". *OHNOES*
Did I just brick my device?????
I'm so desperate, i need my phone every day... OMG Hope it's not bricked!!!!!!!!
Please help... :'(
DevWithCookies
You need to first wipe everything and then format your file system to ext4. Our gio has rfs file system. Custom Roms require ext4.
First Flash This Recovery
Then Flash This ext-4 formatter
Then flash any ROM
Reply if it worked
no your phone is not bricked
so first wipe /system /data /cache and /sd-ext (but NOT /sdcard) then flash the rom and DON'T set the permission. Reboot your phone and everything should work
btw: you can't restore the backup of a stock-rom because of different file systems...

deadly46, you saved my day !
I couldn't sleep last night thinking about my bricked (i thought) phone...

Cyanogen mod 7 gb internal memory help

Ive installed this rom coming from mildwild rom with cm7r2 hboot and ive installed apps and it is full and i had to install s2e but still dont work so is got to do something with the script?
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Which version of CM7 did you install, did it come with a A2SD script already?
Install 'DiskUsage' if you haven't already (recommended this to you when you started rooting months ago). Have a look at your /data partition which should be 287MB large with cm7r2 hboot, and see what is filling it up.
As with any internal memory issues, understand how it is being used first before attempting to solve it...
Oh ive solved it, i had to tick the applications and applications data in s2e, i downloaded it from their website.

Lol well yeh...you do actually have to configure it to tell it what to move...
It's best to move only applications and dalvik cache to sd-ext though
Application data is best left your /data partition, generally more stable, not to mention should be faster

Strange, I've never used s2e but the principle is the same as any other really.
Normally the procedure is;
- flash rom
- setup a2sd
- restore apps
That way the apps etc get restored to where you want them first time, rather than moving them later.
Try first going to recovery, wiping dalvik cache then rebooting, hopefully it will restore to the sd-ext like you want.
If that doesn't work then assume your already have a titanium backup of all your apps?
- nandroid backup
- full wipe and flash rom again
- setup s2e, move apps and dalvik, reboot
- restore apps
- check with diskusage to confirm everything is moved to where you want it

i did this: went into the filemanager and installed s2e and needed root permissions so i did the same and installed it, then went in and ticked in s2e mount as ext4 and restarted and some apps are recovered, so now i have to tick application and dalvik like you said, i wanted to use a2sd script but i dont know where to get it from, im using cyanogenmod-7.2.0.1-bravo.
edit: i ticked em still the same only some apps are recovered.
Now try part 2...

Not sure what you have tried, did you try to full wipe and flash ROM again?....(it's easier if you type in full sentences and use punctuation sometimes )
- You don't have to use Titanium Backup, just assumed you want to transfer your apps between ROMs? Do you not want to save your apps and data / preferences when switching? There are various apps which will do this, but Titanium is one of the most tried and trusted methods.
- Is the google verification a Play Store error? Normally a clear of the play store app data / cache resets it.
- You can use any compatible A2SD script. It's just better to set up A2SD before you install / restore any apps. Alternatives are int2ext, mount2sd, or darktremor A2SD. But they do roughly the same thing. In simple terms, only use one method at a time, you want to move apps and dalvik to sd-ext. I'm pretty sure S2E would have worked fine if you did as instructed...never mind.
Yh I flashed again and then had google error verification, I thought i'd go back to mildwild 5 cos its better for me, the titanium backup I didn't have a backup of apps so that's why... thanks anyway
