Is it possible to replace only the digitizer?
I've broken only the digitizer but don't know about gluing and so...
Thanks

I need to change the digitizer, too, but I found that you can't change only that. You need to change lcd+digitizer assembly, because it's impossible to split them because of the hard glue. You might brake the lcd. Also, if you do split them, then you'll have to clean the remained glue. If you do clean that, then you need to apply some sort of glue uniform between the parts, without bubbles. That's what I found.
Now I have a problem with yellow flex cable and green flex cable for the lcd
What problem?

That's what I found on the internet If you search, even on ebay there are screens with yellow flex cable and screens with green flex cable. I still don't know the difference and what's appropiate for me.

I found something here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33862387, but it didn't helped me. Maybe you got more luck or someone already knows what to do.
Sorry for double posting, but I found something.

With that, I found that my panel_id is 0x944701. After searching for that on google, I found that some users have that panel_id after their screen was replaced in HTC Service. But it's an unknown brand. So my display might have been changed before...but I still can't find if I can buy one from ebay. This one for example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LCD-Displ...X-/251199108419?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123
Maybe you can dig more. I'll do more research tomorrow. I'm tired now!
There's a company on eBay that sells used att screens. I got one that had a "scratch" bout 1/2 inch and it looks like a smudge... Most people can't even see it it's that in noticable.. they have a b and c stock as well as the one I got.. name is repair bowl. And they buy your busted screen

I Recognized some little scratches on the Screen and Cameralense that can only be seen in the right angle and light. And some parts of the edges are chipped. Can this be a reason for a replacement?

Well, where did you get your device from?
Media Markt 2 days before release

Oh :/
I asked because if you had bought it on Amazon, you would be able to replace the device in the first 30 days without a reason...
But I don't think MediaMark is going to replace your device, as scratches happen and aren't covered by warranty.
However, why don't you go to the mediamarkt and try?
I will try in 2 weeks when i am back home. If media Markt doesn't replace it HTC has to replace it?

Like I said, I don't think you'll get a replacement because of scratches, because it is no technical failure.
I dropped my onex and managed to break the screen. I replaced it with a galaxy note 2 but I still love the onex and would like to salvage it for use with my second line.
Has anyone had any success with having the the onex screen repaired?

I dropped mine too and replaced the screen myself. If you have a little experience you won't find it difficult. Btw you can watch many how to videos on YouTube and find fairly cheap genuine replacements on eBay.

I never did it myself, there are several guides on YouTube but I think the most crucial step is ordering the right part ie screen+digitizer already put together and not one of those parts seperately.
most likely only your digitizer is broken, not the screen itself but it is rely hard to place a new digitizer yourself, a big chance of misalignment or capturing air or dust
I have ordered mine from ebay screen+digitizer together, i tryed first to detach the digitizer but i broke the lcd its almost imposible to do so...believe me im quite skillfull with electronics.
Replaced two broken touches + lcds in my service. No problems, but this is my work
I replaced the screened on my atrix with a so called genuine one from eBay but it scratched right up in a few days so I'm guessing it wasn't quite as genuine gorilla glass as the original.

Guys my touch screen quit working only 2 days after i unlocked the bootloader Everything is stock except for the bootloader. What can i do to fix my issue and whats causing it?
I'm having trouble with mine having a mind of its own it will zoom in and out on its own and things will open and close on their own as well. I suspect it's hardware issues.

I had the same problem. I know its a hardware issue but would changing the screen fix the issue or is it the main board?

If you buy one, the digitizer is what picks up your touches,so I would start there.

Hey it's pio. Hey funny seeing you in here and not the thrive forum. So you think a new digitizer and not a plug or connection issue?

Hi XDA.
I was one of the victims of the wifi fault so i fixed it myself, (removed case and improved the contacts) but now my screen has suddenly stopped working. It stays black.
The phone is still fully operatonal and the touch screen works, just no display. Any ideas? All i did was remove the case :s Didn't remove any screws or anything.
Help please?
