Intro
I have successfully ported Sense 5 for our D2 (US SGS3) devices. Check it out at the link below
Quick FAQ
Is this real? Yes.
Am I dreaming? No.
Are you sure I'm not dreaming? Yes.
So this is really Sense 5 ported from the HTC One? Yes.
My phone isn't a Sprint S3. Can I flash this? Yes. My port uses the CM kernel, which is shared across all US SGS3 devices.

just wondering, why you used a CM kernel, instead of using a TW kernel.? which source is aviable and you can do some stuff.

TW kernel has TW dependencies, unlike AOSP.
Using AOSP to pull files from is the key to porting proprietary UI's.

You'll notice that I disabled the ril bins for the moment. You can try re-enabling in the fix_perms script (chmod to 755 instead of 644), but if I remember correctly, it doesn't boot when I do that.
Also, to get the latest files, clone my github repo, the "CM10-evolte" branch.

anticipation is killing me softly to try out Sense 5....will wait for final product...
This seemed interesting so I decided to give it a whirl. Really liking what I see so far. Aside from a few random reboots and lag issues it's looking bright for just being an alpha. Can't wait to see this mature into a daily driver

Great. The rom base is 2.3.3 and the NS4G I don't believe has a 2.3.3 stock kernel, but .4 or .5 should work alright with it. The kernel I'm currently using is from the NexusSense port, until I can get this to boot, since all that changed was the bootclasspath. If you want to try and change the bootclasspath in init.rc in the stock NS4G kernel and recompile it into a boot.img for me that would be muy bueno.

Ah I see the shooter reference you did there haha.
I dont know a whole lot about porting, but wouldnt it be easier to have a fully working sense 2.1 base (nexussense) and then upgrade it to 3.0 after that (shooting stars). Im thinking it'd be easier because the drivers and problems would have been worked out in the 2.1 build making it easier for a bump up too 3.0.
Just an idea, and im most likely wrong (as usual lol) but its just whats going through my head.
Or even do as team synergy has done, which is use a 2.1 base and port all the goodies of 3.0 into it so you're not missing anything. Again just an idea, your the dev so who am I to say whats better, im just a curious ass hole.
And btw, im 19. just thought id share as we're all tossing out our age around here. lmao

The thing is that it might actually be more work to port NexusSense over and get it to a point where we can use it on Sprint, since the Desire is a GSM phone and not CDMA. The shooter however is CDMA.
Ah, shooter.
Shooting stars are fast, like 4G!
See what I did thar?

-= INFO ON THIS PRE-ALPHA ROM =-
This is Sense 4.0, ICS 4.0.3. It is ported from the latest HTC Endeavour RUU leak. The Endeavour is a quad-core tegra 3 phone, with 720p display. So yes this rom will take some work.
The rom that I will be posting was rebased from the sensation port, so credit to those devs. I will not just be using their work, I will be doing my own fixes and whatnot.
This rom is more of a preview. It has alot of issues. But hey, this was one of the first Sense 4.0 ports EVER, and its on NEXUS S. Thats pretty crazy

-= HOW TO BE GOOD AT THIS ROM =-
As of now, it isnt very stable (duhh). So after flashing, let it settle down a bit, it will reboot some and do its thing. After awhile it runs pretty damn smooth. You will have to get used to random reboots and force closes. It's still kinda cool to look at though, don't let these problems discourage you from flashing

**This is barely worth posting, but its been high demand by alot of users**
So, before I go crazy with the layout of this thread, here's the deal..
This is sense 4.0, ported from the leaked HTC Endeavour ruu. Not much works really, but its still pretty cool to look through some of the new htc apps. This is meant for a 720p device, so almost all apps need to be resized.
I'm posting this because there has been a number of users requesting that I upload it for them to mess around with, and because I havent seen a port on the internet yet.
Saying this, I know this rom doesnt completely function, and I know that it may be cluttering the dev section, but hey its development. And its sense 4.0 on the nexus s. I still havent seen sense 4.0 ports on htc devices.
What I need from the community is help resizing the apps, and some of the framework. Tedious task, but if we do it now, when a qhd sense 4.0 rom comes we will be ready

This may not work at all, but I have an EVO 3d as well as nexus 4g. We have one port for the 3d that functions about as much as this by Joelz (ICS Sense 3.6). When flashing that rom if you flash and boot, then do a battery pull and reboot, then you don't get all of the crazy force closes, but if you don't do this a lot of stuff force closes making the rom absolutely unusable. Maybe it works with this as well. Just something to try. In any event, thank you for always having the courage to jump in the water no matter what the end result will be with your ports. You always try to bring a different flavor to our devices and it is greatly appreciated.
awesome. keeping my eye on this.

How would one go about resizing the apps?
If there is a tutorial somewhere or if you could even just show me how to resize apps I would be more than willing to help. I've modded a few different apks using apk manager so I'm sure I could handle it. Plus I'm an easy learner.

BTW are we going to make a list who resize's what app so that dev's aren't resizing a app that already is resized
Resizing all the apps would be a major PITA... I don't think it's worth the effort man. I think you'd be better off waiting for 4.0 ICS on a device with our resolution...

Yeah I've realized this, too much work.. I want to try and resize Rosie to see if it will at least load, but its most likely based on m10, which needs that special m10 tool that doesn't even work for sense 3.5.

yeah you're gonna need to resize the icons and any xml code too. and decompiling and recompiling rosie is just not worth it imo

maybe we can use this
lol the sensation port is why im asking! I have it on my phone and have got rosie to work but is way to big! can only see 1/2 the clock on homescreen

But then most current HTC phones that are getting ICS will be updated most likely to Sense 3.6 if I'm not correct. For now it might just be better to get the Sense 3.6 ROM from the Sensation and have that working. A device with our resolution may not happen for at least a few more months.

INFORMATION ON NEXUS EVOLUTION
Nexus Evolution is built off of AOSP now. Did this because I wanted to start the framework all from stock and put what I personally wanted into the rom from the start. Vendor folder is based off of the developers from EVERVOL. I did this because I liked the way they had there set up and the scripts and I was somewhat a noob so to be honest I was lazy and lacked the time to do it at times. Rom is very fast and responsive and somewhat light which the goal I'm heading towards. I hope you enjoy!!!

INFORMATION ON ME & NEXUS EVOLUTION
Now I am not a full time developer. I am a wanna be developer learning android more and more every day.I have been trying to learn it since the og droid days. Started off theming for a long time then decided to finally step it up a notch. I am not a pro at github and I am still learning it just like I am with building a rom. You can see this as I deleted my FRAMEWORK_BASE a dozen times because of me having to do pull requests and this was messing up my source on my desktop. I do this as a hobby and am learning all this on my own. I didn't go to school for development.

So I guess the important question is: what's different about it from liquidsmooth?
Too much to list but it's more stable then 3-16 "stable" release. it is 3.4 kernel with todays fix that was causing reboots and SODs

You can do what ever you want but this is a whole new build, I'm about 90% sure you will run into issues. Annoying ones too lol.

Does it gave the aokp action for toggling widgets?
Liquid was missing it so you couldn't actually use navigation bar widgets

No not at all. This is just for Ramsay to get what he wants out there. Liquid is still Liquid.

Re: Q&A for Deviant (Temp)
Sweet. Thanks mt3g for your help and your q&a threads and thanks Mike for your work on these ROMs. So far so good nothing to report. This thing seems solid so far.
Albeit LS is butter.

I know right, 3.4 kernel on its first day of release I had 5 hour screen on time, super dope!!
When the thread drops I will snag a couple of the posts prob #3 and #4 to make that as my q&a, so people won't have to go somewhere and ask anymore. They will be able to handle it all with in one thread. I just hope they actually read the posts.

Are you sure I'm not dreaming? Yes.
So this is really Sense 5 ported from the HTC One? Yes.

A couples notes..
If you are a dev/hacker/modder/whatever AND KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, any and all help is welcome. PM me for details.
If you don't like Sense, good for you. Press the "Back" button and check out any other thread. But do not flame me or anyone in my thread or mods will be notified.
Please DO NOT post in the DEV THREAD linked below. Any posts that are not development related will be deleted, don't take it personally. Instead, you can head over to/check out the unified Q&A and Discussion thread for the Sense 5 ROM.
Pictures of my phone running Sense 5 are in the OP of the dev thread linked above if you are a non-believer.

You, sir, are sassy and I like you. I'll give this ROM a spin when mobile networks are working!
can you make those screen shots smaller. its too big and looks out of focus. I would like to try it but those screen shots are way too big
Did it can run Blinkfeed?
