What is King Kang?​
King Kang is essentially a hybrid ROM - its a mixture of AOKP, CyanogenMod, and ParanoidAndroid, bringing all their customizations to one rock solid and quick ROM. These numerous features combine to create a blend of features not seen anywhere else before. Make the user interface yours with this ROM. Change the DPI the ROM runs at, tweak the interface to your hearts content, while enjoying great battery life and stability. Never before have these features combined to create a ROM as feature-packed as King Kang. Credits for the features goes directly to the teams responsible - AOKP and CM for their respective work, and ParanoidAndroid for their wonderful DPI on-the-fly modifications. Without these teams, this ROM would not be possible.
This is a merge of AOKP, CM10, and Paranoid Android done by DAGr8. Thanks to him
This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. If kittens start to raid your house in mass, then I am not responsible (also, take a picture and post it on Reddit for archival purposes)

Flash normal jb gapps of your choice. These are recommended: http://d-h.st/1C0 4.2 gapps by KillDroidHack.
Please report any bugs to this thread, and I'll see if I can fix them, I threw this together for fun, and didn't do that much testing.
I also became really lazy and kanged Team KANG's boot animation.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to the request of the Paranoid Android team, I have removed ParanoidPreferences.apk.

EDIT: first problem I have noticed. Even on clean install (and tried multiple gapps packages) Google talk FCs. Can't figure out what would cause that though

This is not a feature that is available right now, only for phone calls. You will have to wait until AOKP merges it in, and PACman is updated.
EDIT: Also for SMS

No changelog, because I can't find one. I'll try to do nightlies. I'm syncing right now.
Also, keep in mind that I only have ~85 Mbps internet and a 3570K, so it might take a while to compile for all devices (I'm going to start supporting maguro and toroplus), but toro will always come first.

I flashed this 4.2 transformation pack on top of the ROM and Google Talk works now.

My camera completely brother after this. I've tries multiple apps with no success

has their been any dev on the tmobile sII for the splash screen?? i did a search and didnt find much (anything).. if the task isnt too much i might consider a small bit of it.. the samsung image is boring to me.. much thanks..

First off there's tons of made boot animations available, sec of all this is posted in the wrong section. There's a general section in this forum for these types of questions. I'm not by any means flaming you but please watch the first video you was made to watch so you can follow the rules to this forum.
As a request I ask that you pm a moderator to move this thread to the correct section. And don't be offended to the other senior members that will give you tons of hard time for the posting here...
And third of all, Google is your friend as well as xda search...

I remember tdj darkside roms changed that splash screen..and think it's in the kernel because it would change when ever I flashed tdj's kernels.
..other than him(such an awesome and actual dev we had), I've yet to see somebody else do this on our phone.

Yea it was his kernels, but he was pure dedication and I guess found how to do it. Hopefully the lightning kernel can step up and do it since it's the last(and best) of the good kernels.

Although your a recognized developer for us , ptmr3 your kernel is for 4.0.4 so a lot of the new guys want to jump right to jb so they totally miss out on your great ROMs. Can't wait to see what you do once you get official source.

OK so there was a request in #attnote2 for some 4.2.1 AOKP. I build AOKP for the Sprint and Verizon GNotes but I'm encountering trouble with those booting for now so I thought I might as well do a build for you guys. Not posting this in Original Android Development yet because I wanted to see what cmenard is going to do. If he plans on maintaining AOKP for you guys im going to ask for this thread to be closed. If not, ill take it from there. Enjoy!

INSTALL:
- Boot to recovery and make a backup
- Wipe data/cache/dalvik
- Flash ROM
- Flash GAPPS

If you want to return to a 4.1.x ROM after flashing AOKP, flash madmacks restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip AFTER flashing/nandroiding back to your 4.1.x rom. You can get this .zip from his CM10.1 threads.
BUGS:
- Any bugs in your CM10.1 build
- Might get a Setup Wizard FC on first boot. Just sign in later

I know most 4.2 Roms have an issue with the voice input, but some are claiming that it can be fixed, and Jellybam claims to have it. I was just asking if this had a fix or was able to be fixed. Sorry it was so much trouble, geesh.

Are you seriously getting your feelings hurt? Its a very known issue with CM10.1 that the mic is broken right now when it comes to Google Now, etc. If you cant take a few minutes to search that thread to find out current bugs, dont even bother downloading this rom please. Geesh.

Rick i see they talked you into huh? lol these are why less and less of us want to help bc people can't even take the time or are not knowledgeable to know that each device plays differently with things and cant even refer to see current bugs issues or do a bit of research about such before hand......if you are unsure don't flash or google is your friend......just my 2 cents

I was asking a legit question. Jellybeer4.2 reported to have it working. I know it is an issue with the CM10 nightlys. I was just asking if like Jellybam, it had a workaround. Sorry to get everyone bent out of shape.

is this aosp or tw base? i see you give credit to a bunch of aosp devs but this is posted in the android development and not the original android development so i just wanted to make sure which is it before i decide to try it out. thanks alot for your time and work.

Here's a rundown on what's been going on besides (real estate and pregnant wife):
Halo is now a part of source...
S4 devices, HOPEFULLY I've resolved MOST of the issues you guys are having....
S3 devices I know things are pretty stable, but there were some issues on CDMA-based devices, I believe i took care of those as well...
Working on Int'l S3 and S4, both I should have going Friday as well....
I'm trying to keep builds on a weekly basis for the most part.... not making any promises as free-time fluctuates for me...
Otherise... if you guys wanna know what's in store.... see Changelog in OP.
Oh yeah,... screenshots, you guys have given so much traffic Photobucket doesn't like it.... if you guys aren't crashing Goo.IM, you guys are crashing something else eh? Thanks a lot guys lol

Note: Some users might be affected with a /data corruption bug after a reboot. If this happens Factory reset, Format system, format data flash 4.2.2 rom.
Note 2 : To get root working go to Settings -> Developer options, then change the option "root access" to "apps and adb".
Note 3: Completely new base with over 5 million code changes.... Please format system and factory reset to avoid any issues.!!!

This is awesome! Will you be able to make sure the audio is fixed in 4.3 ROM? I am having problems with the ringtones and notifications on your 4.2.2 being low volume. Thanks guys!

I like to set mine at 240 as for me it looks better and you can use per app DPI and get some apps to display in dual panel mode and for me at least overall it looks better than at 320 with more real estate on home screen etc..

Cardinal rule never ask for ETA's from Devs as these guys/gals do this for us for free. I would rather wait and have a good build as I suspect it was pulled do to that which I appreciate the Dev doing, less issues and looking out for us..

So I see n7100 is active but no joy for t0ltetmo. Is n7100 is supposed to be the international GT-N7100, and if so can we flash it on T-Mobile variant?
I flashed Slim-n7100-4.3.build.beta.2-WEEKLY-288 and Slim_minimal_gapps.4.3.build.beta.2.x . It's been sitting on the bootanimation for ca 10 minutes now.
I am waiting on it because when I tried the first few CM10.2 builds it would hang too, but eventually finish booting.

Why would you flash another devices rom?... Your lucky it's similar enough to not brick your device. ...
