FIRST OFF, ALL CREDIT GOES TO CODEWORKX AND MADMACK FOR THEIR WORK ON T0LTE. THIS ROM IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT THEM. GO THANK AND/OR DONATE TO THEM!
OK so there was a request in #attnote2 for some 4.2.1 AOKP. I build AOKP for the Sprint and Verizon GNotes but I'm encountering trouble with those booting for now so I thought I might as well do a build for you guys. Not posting this in Original Android Development yet because I wanted to see what cmenard is going to do. If he plans on maintaining AOKP for you guys im going to ask for this thread to be closed. If not, ill take it from there. Enjoy!
ROM: http://d-h.st/0UP
GAPPS: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip
INSTALL:
- Boot to recovery and make a backup
- Wipe data/cache/dalvik
- Flash ROM
- Flash GAPPS
- Reboot and enjoy AOKP goodness
If you want to return to a 4.1.x ROM after flashing AOKP, flash madmacks restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip AFTER flashing/nandroiding back to your 4.1.x rom. You can get this .zip from his CM10.1 threads.
BUGS:
- Any bugs in your CM10.1 build
- Might get a Setup Wizard FC on first boot. Just sign in later
Thanks to Turilo for testing for me in #attnote2

I know most 4.2 Roms have an issue with the voice input, but some are claiming that it can be fixed, and Jellybam claims to have it. I was just asking if this had a fix or was able to be fixed. Sorry it was so much trouble, geesh.
Edit: went temporarily stupid.

Are you seriously getting your feelings hurt? Its a very known issue with CM10.1 that the mic is broken right now when it comes to Google Now, etc. If you cant take a few minutes to search that thread to find out current bugs, dont even bother downloading this rom please. Geesh.

Rick i see they talked you into huh? lol these are why less and less of us want to help bc people can't even take the time or are not knowledgeable to know that each device plays differently with things and cant even refer to see current bugs issues or do a bit of research about such before hand......if you are unsure don't flash or google is your friend......just my 2 cents

I was asking a legit question. Jellybeer4.2 reported to have it working. I know it is an issue with the CM10 nightlys. I was just asking if like Jellybam, it had a workaround. Sorry to get everyone bent out of shape.

For new Slim users,
usual way to flash is
1) d2att.zip
2)common x.x.zip
3)any extras you want ( google now, extras.zip, face unlock). all the details over at slimroms.net.
for 2.2: NFC is not working i think, can't test it here. but i have a patch if somebody can test it. cheers.
Edit: Patch seems to work atleast on d2vzw, pls test and report. it's along with the rest of the d/l files.
Edit2: if screen flickers, increase min CPU to 484 or disable hw overlay in settings/developer options.
Edit3: Don't flash another gapps, common includes it and it has multi dpi play store. If you flash another one and apps are incompatible, don't report here. You can grab from vending.apk and googleservicesframework.apk and put it in another gapps, flash but no support on that one

I think he means that all roms using Cm10 sources aren't working with the "MHL to HDMI" cable. Its something in the CM10 code thats causing the phones to go into a reboot loop, Miui has cm10 sources in it but I have no clue why the cable is working on that rom and not the others.
But i'm about to go test it out now.

What is King Kang?
King Kang is essentially a hybrid ROM - its a mixture of AOKP, CyanogenMod, and ParanoidAndroid, bringing all their customizations to one rock solid and quick ROM. These numerous features combine to create a blend of features not seen anywhere else before. Make the user interface yours with this ROM. Change the DPI the ROM runs at, tweak the interface to your hearts content, while enjoying great battery life and stability. Never before have these features combined to create a ROM as feature-packed as King Kang. Credits for the features goes directly to the teams responsible - AOKP and CM for their respective work, and ParanoidAndroid for their wonderful DPI on-the-fly modifications. Without these teams, this ROM would not be possible.
This is a merge of AOKP, CM10, and Paranoid Android done by DAGr8. Thanks to him
This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. If kittens start to raid your house in mass, then I am not responsible (also, take a picture and post it on Reddit for archival purposes)
Thanks to:
- DAGr8
- Team KANG
- Team Douche
- Rohan32
- Paranoid Android Team
- Google

Flash normal jb gapps of your choice. These are recommended: http://d-h.st/1C0 4.2 gapps by KillDroidHack.
Please report any bugs to this thread, and I'll see if I can fix them, I threw this together for fun, and didn't do that much testing.
I also became really lazy and kanged Team KANG's boot animation.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to the request of the Paranoid Android team, I have removed ParanoidPreferences.apk.

No changelog, because I can't find one. I'll try to do nightlies. I'm syncing right now.
Also, keep in mind that I only have ~85 Mbps internet and a 3570K, so it might take a while to compile for all devices (I'm going to start supporting maguro and toroplus), but toro will always come first.

Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
Its gonna be CM 10.1
http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/cyanogenmod-10-0-release#respond
Guys, I don't see anything wrong with a quick 'how long normally until xxxx?' It only takes a quick answer based on previous releases, e.g. 'They normally surface xxx days after the source is out'
All this 'Rule #1 - no ETA' crap is just rude, especially when the OP for CM10 on this very device mentions NOTHING of not asking for ETAs
It was mentioned on several places/threads here in xda.
Don't tell me you never seen it. And is it? Rude?
You like it when your boss comes up to you and says "hey how long are you gonna take to finish that? Its been 2 days!" Or when your kid keeps nagging you "are we there yet?"
I think it's not rude, it's annoying.
Missing Custom Hardware KEys
OT:
Hey I'm new , I tired to search for an answer but I couldn't find anything.
I saw on a CM10 video the function to add more than one action to the hardware keys. (e.g. long press - > do something)
On my build I couldn't find this option. Is it disabled?

I don't really think you're getting the point. Developers of course like it when people like their rom. But the problem with CM is that it's such a popular rom and big community that ETA questions keep popping up everywhere. Furthermore, people -not saying it's you, but there are lots of them- start getting annoyed when something's delayed. And that's quite annoying...
Anyway, I would recommend checking CM on Google+ for all the latest progression updates. It's coming along nicely, but will definitely take another xxx days...

You keep posting this crap in all these eta threads and it's getting you absolutely nowhere. There is a flow with just about any rom: don't ask for an eta. Etas have caused so many thread to turn into pure hate when the dev misses the eta.
For any thread asking about any timeline for when a certain feature will be included/ready: it will be ready when it's ready and not a second sooner.

There are some other 4.2 roms out there that are pretty good and full of features. Try them out while you waiting for CM
4.2.2 AOSPBeta/Stablish
The main difference you''ll see from LiquidSmooth:
Settings interface is layed out different/better
"Real Dark UI" toggle -DOPE
The Widget Viewpager (set through Hardware Keys or NavBar, long press, to Widgets viewpager)
Deviant WallPaper built in and awesome, loads way faster also.
Stock CM Kernel packaged (for now )
Anything I'[m forgetting remind me lol
Code:
This is a temporary q&a thread, that I will eventually have locked. Deviant is based off LiquidSmooth and will be a new rom out there that Ramsay is supporting. I nor he wants the Liquid threads to be a clutter so bring the questions and statements here please. Thanks.

This is a temporary q&a thread, that I will eventually have locked. Deviant is based off LiquidSmooth and will be a new rom out there that Ramsay is supporting. I nor he wants the Liquid threads to be a clutter so bring the questions and statements here please. Thanks.
Same 4.2.2 Gapps. http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip

This will definitely work til we get the main thread running . Thanks homie...
So I guess the important question is: what's different about it from liquidsmooth?
Too much to list but it's more stable then 3-16 "stable" release. it is 3.4 kernel with todays fix that was causing reboots and SODs
Re: Q&A for Deviant (Temp)
Can we dirty flash this over liquidsmooth?

You can do what ever you want but this is a whole new build, I'm about 90% sure you will run into issues. Annoying ones too lol.
Re: Q&A for Deviant (Temp)
Does it gave the aokp action for toggling widgets?
Liquid was missing it so you couldn't actually use navigation bar widgets

That hasn't changed, I don't think... I don't even know what all that is. Maybe show what it looks like and maybe he will add it in there.
Re: Q&A for Deviant (Temp)
Also, I'm under the assumption that Liquid Smooth is done and this is the new rom, correct?

No not at all. This is just for Ramsay to get what he wants out there. Liquid is still Liquid.

Ooh, great, I just assumed Liquid was dead and was being converted to this
Anyway, I've subscribed to this, can't wait to see which rom will turn out better

Re: Q&A for Deviant (Temp)
Sweet. Thanks mt3g for your help and your q&a threads and thanks Mike for your work on these ROMs. So far so good nothing to report. This thing seems solid so far.
Albeit LS is butter.

I know right, 3.4 kernel on its first day of release I had 5 hour screen on time, super dope!!
When the thread drops I will snag a couple of the posts prob #3 and #4 to make that as my q&a, so people won't have to go somewhere and ask anymore. They will be able to handle it all with in one thread. I just hope they actually read the posts.
