So what? Where is the problem? Are you in sience and want to measure the melting point of Plumbum with your SGW? Or is it running unstable and you want to cool it with Nitrogenium?
It´s not designed for such things, so as long your human temperature sensor build in your skin doesn´t tell you its getting warm or even hot, there is nothing to worry about.
Just becouse my phone is really hot when i am just downloading and not playing games .. so i don't want that my sgw burns and i can't use it...

Ok I see, but a proper working temperature sensor alone will not help you in this case. You have to find the main reason why it´s getting hot while just downloading something. In general this shouldn´t happen as the download can be done while the cpu is idle-ing. So your human sensor (your skin) is giving you enough info about your device getting hot and so something being wrong.
This of course if you are downloading while not using the device and the screen being turned off, else it´s normal it will get warm or even hot.
So in this case I would rather check what is causing this and if using an other app causes this as well rather than bothering about the temparature sensor.
now i am doing nothing and my phone is really Hot... i uninstalled zeam launcher becouse it is aggressive and installed nova launcher... greenifyed all apps... and when it is Hot is slow ?!?! some apps that worked fine now are lagging...

Hmm then something must be crashing. Do you undervolt your CPU? Probably a background service or system app. First install CPU spy and Wake Lock detector to see if its running most of the time at full speed and what is causing this.
---------- Post added at 09:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:06 PM ----------
However first you need to get your phone running stable without any services or system apps chrashing before asking for other tweaks.
Maybe becouse I have always the ram quite full.. i used greenify and disabled some system apps.. but the same problem..

my phone was on my desk for about an hour of not using, them....my secondary phone rings and someone tells me that my phone is closed. i said, wtf? then....i pressed power button.....nothing......picked it up.....the phone WAS HOTTTTTT at the earpiece area and the camera area and it didnt want to turn on. i removed the battery, then it started and the battery was at 4% from 30% on hour ago!
what was this? anyone else with this?
You were running GPU hungry apps on the background of the phone. Don't worry, just make sure you have a ha bit of closing and deleting apps that you don't need.
i didnt start anything......and how come it was dead....and only started after pulling the battery out!?

The way I understand it is this...
Google spends a TON of money developing the Android Platform. It was orginally and continues to pride itself on multi tasking. That said they didn't just forget that programs running in the background could drain the battery. Android manages your apps perfectly and to think they would leave it up to a 3rd party software to assist the OS is a joke. App management software is bad, all bad.
More people come on here asking why their phone suddenly died, and majority of them have app management programs. Don't know if they are causing the issue, but it seems possible.
Hope that helps

Hey, I have a Glide running INC3PETION v1 and using the latest ardatdat kernel, and I was wondering if there is any way for me to change the overclock in said kernel. It is currently set to 1.2ghz but I want to bump it up a tiny bit to maybe 1.3ghz or (if it's safe) 1.4ghz. This is so I can watch some video files (mkv) without having the bad audio lag issues. I would not be having it overclocked at that speed all the time, only for short periods. The only thing preventing me from just keeping a copy of cranium (I think it's cranium) on my sd is portability. The only kernel I know of that is OC'd higher than ardatdat hasn't fixed the data counter issue. And it needs Odin. I would like to be able to just go into CWM and flash my extra OC'd kernel when I need it. As a last thought, I think ardatdat has stopped (or paused) development so if this is at all possible, help is greatly appreciated.

You can try to download no frills CPU control.should be able to overclock when you need it then, just make sure you have root (su)

@above Still, the max is set to 1.2
Side question: say I don't want to install a separate app: what files should I have to mod to select the governor and maximum frequency?
Thanks.
T
Make your own thread for your own question... I'm looking for an answer to my problem and I don't need constant notifications about yours. Thanks.
And just to clarify, I have an overclocking app already. What I'm looking for is how to change the max clock speed that is set in the kernel. Or just a kernel that has it already raised above 1.2. I need the data counter fixed though, no matter what.

Audio lag I believe can be fixed in inception v2 with voodoo sound.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I927R using xda premium
Its only happening in mx when I play mkv. Its a known speed issue with the player. Also, I really don't like the theme on v2
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I927R using xda app-developers app
If it's a known speed issue with the app, why would changing the oc on the kernel affect it? Think about, the general audience for the app don't have OC kernels. It is supposed to work without OC. I think just an update to the app will fix it.
I'll see if I can unpack boot.img for the kernel, anyway
Well you see it's an issue with older phones. And mine has had a bit of an issue with speed simply because of some of the apps I have running. That's why I wanted to do this. Its hardware limitations. I just worded it wrong.

Isnt it just easier to kill the running apps before playing the video, than setting another oc just to play it. your reasons for doing these are too strange...

Except that the running apps are ones that I cannot kill? My Data monitor, antivirus, facebook (which I would like to kill but cannot) as well as a few others are what slow it down. Besides, I just would like to see how well the videos run at a higher clock. Simple curiosity is probably the best way to explain it.

sorry same here I don't know how to help you. I was just trying to help you out and close different applications that are open in the backround. What I usually do is log off certain applications like facebook and other ones I actually turned around and uninstall anything that stays resident and in memory this way I know that my phone is not running any non essential application in the background.

I expect you'd need to modify the source of the kernel to support a higher max OC, and then you'd need to build the kernel from source. I didn't spot the source for any of the kernels on our phone at a glance, but I didn't look too hard, if you track one down it should be fairly straightforward.
Ah ok. And getting the tools to do so is a piece of cake, so I suppose that's what I'll have to do. Thanks for your help!

I'm evaluating Juice Defender Ultimate on CM10, but it's too early to tell. Have you tried looking at running apps and see if you have something stuck in a restarting loop? Maybe get Cache Clear and clear out a misbehaving app cache (not sure that would have an effect)...
Not sure if its from an app cause this doesn't happen on gingerbread. If it were though how would I identify the offending app?

I run juice defender ultimate with the cm10 nightlies. It doesn't seem to be consistent. I have gotten the same results as the OP even with JD running occasionally. One other thing to note about JD is that it doesn't seem to retain my settings. It winds up defaulting back to the balanced profile. I haven't done extensive research yet. Just some minor observations. But using JD (when it works) is still worth it to me.

Try to freeze google maps, if mine is unfroze it wakelocks every 2 minutes. -.- also turn off network location. system updates can mess up your battery life too. also, disable google now if you dont use it, its a battery killer as well. i get at least 1:40 on a stock battery screen on time, and 5-7 hours screen on time with a 3800mah battery. phone usually deep sleeps.
I do think google maps was the culprit here, I cleared data and cache and that seems to have really helped. Thanks for you response.

How do you know? What do you do with the device that will use all its power so quickly? Mine is averaging 2 days on a single charge with moderate use; there's no reason why anyone else can't manage that.
Besides, all those so called "battery saver" apps are just placebo's anyway; much like memory saver apps are.
Idk man. I tweet alot. and my 3g sucks battery... 2g isnt an option either....

Better battery stats is one of the best programs for tracking down what programs are triggering wake locks and bleeding your battery.

But the best way to conserve the battery is to just turn off the phone and don't use it at all. :
