You know there's a difference between the RUU you wrote you used (RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE) and the 2.3 RUU, right?
but the link that you gave me is the same that i used and i downloaded it, and flashed with it, didn't it ?
After using the link you sent me, and flashed with it i get ERROR 152 IMAGE UPDATE ERROR
The ROM Update Utility cannot update your android phone
Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again
ps : when i'm flashing it, always when it comes to flash the radio, the green bar on the phone became RED! and after that it returns green, so the problem always on updating RADIO !! so what should i do ?

i don't know how to flash radio alone, and what file to use for flashing radio itself alone without flashing ROM !! i guess it should be done by using ANDROID FLASHER, but i don't know how, i just tried to flash all the ROM

No, I mean, what did it say when the RUU tried to flash the radio? In the post where you wrote the RUU log, you didn't write anything after "Radio v2". Did it say "OK", or "Fail"
OH I'm sorry, i forgot to mention it, it says FAIL-pu

Well, next time don't forget. It's the most important detail.
You have a radio brick. I'm afraid that you will have to struggle to unbrick your phone. You'll have to endlessly flash RUU's until one of them succeeds in flashing the radio.
There's no other known way
no problem, so you mean i should try all RUU"s on this forum till one of them work ?? that's it my friend ???

Well, try all the WWE RUU's from here:
http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Bravo
Remember, you must try each one more than once. This is a matter of chance and luck.
Insist on the 2.3 RUU.
i am trying RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2_29_405_5_Radio_32_49_00_32U_5_11_05_27_release_159811_signed
when it reached about 24 % the phone vibrates two times, and it stucks on 26% on the status bar of the flashing, on 'upgrade radio'
it's still frozen on 26% should i wait for that ?? or unplug the usb and try with the same ROM,
because it's the first time that it vibrates !
after a weeks in the repair of its death, my phone now turns on, but still the problem of the frozen screen with htc logo, and four triangles
with this :
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-1.02.0001
MICROP-031d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
RADIO-5.11.05.27
JUL 22 2011.16.19.16
so still no solution for an S-ON phone ?? i tried a lot of RUU's and now one worked for me

flash ruu simple as that.
Would love to explain further, but seriously it's been explained plenty of times on here so just search.
Just make sure to flash the latest one(2.29.405), as older ones might not have slcd drivers if you have a slcd screen.

Could it be you have cm7 or oxygen hboot with /system partition smaller than the rom needs?
if so as per the alpharev site, you need to fastboot flash the downgrader.img first as a hboot then RUU
do you have a custom hboot?
edit: rootsu beat me to it

Hello everybody,
I have a huge problem with my Desire : I cannot install any Ruu on it and I have the "error 152 : image update error". I tried and read many things but the probleme is that the phone is S-ON. So I cannot install a recovery image and cannot either access to the fastboot because I don't have one (I only have "RUU" on my screen).
So when I try to install the Ruu.exe I get this message :

Thank you very much in advance.
Contact HTC. Looks like a radio brick and if it is only they can fix it. You were updating to 2.3.3 so this should be covered by warranty.

Then why do you have the new HBOOT which was in the Official DEVLEOPER 2.3 update ?
You need to use Revolutionary.io (root/s-off), then flash the downgrader from alpharev.nl and you can try an older RUU.
The phone needs to boot to s-off
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
yup, phones bricked. Call HTC they *should* give you a new one.
Thank you for your replies.
I'm in Tunisia. I've bought it last year from France and my guarrantee is over
I cannot dot it with revolutionary because the pone is not detected but the computer even if my drivers are installed.
Should be a 2 year warranty but not sure if its from another country. You should contact HTC and see what they say

Hmmm, with revolutionary.io you don't need to be booted AFAIK.

Google "Alpharev" and download and flash the bravo_downgrade.img then run the ruu. Shouldnt matter tho as long as h have stock hboot. U have radio fail so the chances of u getting the phone working again are slim. All u can do is keep trying the ruu

The Fail_PU is sign of a radio brick. A radio brick is difficult to overcome. Few phones get rescued from this state.
First, try the 2.3 RUU a couple of times:
http://www.htcdev.com/process/legal_download/152
If it doesn't work, try putting the phone in the freezer for 10 minutes with the battery taken out, and then imediatelly try the RUU.
If those don't work, then you will have to try to flash a lot of wwe RUUs from here: http://www.shipped-roms.com/?category=android&model=Bravo
Good luck!
Why should he put it in to the freezer? Did it work with less failures, when its cold?
Also from me: good luck!

It could be overheating. Trust me, I've seen Andu recommend this a lot and it seems to get the phone booted a decent amount of times.
