Some usefull info - LG Optimus G Pro

The hidden service menu on dialpad type 3845#*980#
I haven't messed with those but I did turn fast dormancy off
Also I like to disable LTE sometimes and was surprised not to see the setting. If you need this just go to
build.prop and open it up in a editor..back the file up first!!!
look for line
ro.radio.networkmode=disable
change to
ro.radio.networkmode=enable
Reboot
You will now have the menu under Mobile Networks

I bought mine already unlocked so the tmobile sim card always worked just no data at first. I had to manually put the apn in under mobile networks and got 4g internet from the beginning then I used the build.prop trick to get my lte to work. Is your lg optimus g pro the at&t e980 model? If yes, is it already unlocked to where to can place calls on it?

I haven't been able to unlock my at&t phone yet. I've been told that my phone is "too new" and doesn't have a code yet

Well I believe in sometimes at&t will give you the unlock code for free, they provided me one for my note 2 awhile ago . I cant confirm they will 100% give it to you but it never hurts to try. Here are a few links I found

GPS Won't Lock

Hey guys I've seen a few other posts about this issue but haven't come across any solutions that work for me. My gps won't lock when I try to use any type of navigation. When I go to maps my current location is shown but beyond that I get nothing. Tried the power cycle method and I flashed different roms and still have the same issue. Running Jedi X13.
Thanks

Seems like your using Google maps for your navigation. Don't know if you tried to clear the data in that actual app. May help you.
One other thing I read somewhere was that to install a GPS test. And try updating the agps info. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest

Same problem here, tried many times resetting AGPS data and it simply will not work.
Im using TW. Jedi X14
Had to go back to stock through Odin, and then also used a code in the dialer (forgot what it was, used the IMEI code of your phone in the end) to get a correct CSC for my carrier. Then my GPS started to work again and flashed to whatever ROM.

can you explain what you did step by step? I have been trying to get my gps to work I tried all the custom roms and now im running stock rom and still will not lock. I am about to take it to at&t if none of the above posts wont work.
So after flashing to stock on Odin, I went to the phone app used this dialer code, *#272*IMEI#*
You can find your IMEI code in system settings > about device > status, I believe, a long bunch of numbers/letters. So substitute those numbers/letters for where it says IMEI in that dialer code. Then you'll get a few options for selecting your carrier, choose the correct one and your phone should reset once again.
After that, my GPS started working after I launched Google Maps and was able to pick up satellites in the GPS status app from the Play store.
I'm on a Canadian carrier (Bell), but hopefully this works for you. It is quite a pain to do all this for the sake of the GPS..

My phone actaully went right to the CSC menu after I put in that last asterisk.. Not sure. Sorry I couldn't help you. Having no GPS really does suck.
Another option could be to root your phone, again, and download CSC chooser from the Play store. Perhaps an alternative to that code?

I don't remember him saying it is a problem, just curious.
Should be ATT thing then, or is it non native network?
Come to think of it, it actually makes sense, if you switch sim cards back and forth or have dual sim adapter this could be life saver to know which network you're currently using, imagine, you think you're on T-mo and instead make international calls on ATT sim, ouch. I wonder if the network name will show up if using non T-mo card on T-mo phone?

It's an ATT thing - it's even labeled as such in the SystemUI if you go poking around in it. The connection type doesn't matter in this case, it's the fact that the phone identifies itself as an ATT variant that it shows.
so this is an N900A specific thing then ? It's not rooted and was bought at launch from att store.

SM-N900T Sevice Mode - Hidden Menu

All,
I noticed on the TMO version of the GN3, that we are very limited in our service mode options. Well, I'm proud to say I've managed to get to the ACTUAL main menu of the service mode, rather than the debug info only menu.
*** DO THESE STEPS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR DEVICE.***
Here's the trick I used on 4.4.2 Stock:
1) Open Phone, go to the dialer.
2) Enter *#197328640# to enter the service mode. You will land at "DEBUG SCREEN"
3) Hit the menu key, select "Key Input" and in the Input Value box, enter Q (capital letter) and hit OK
4) Hit the menu key again, select "Key Input", and in the Input value box, enter 0000 (four zeros) and hit OK
5) Wait about 5-10 seconds, your service menu should change to "MAIN MENU":
Code:
MAIN MENU
[1] PROTOCOL STATE
[2] UE SETTINGS & INFO
[3] ETC
[4] DEBUG SCREEN(OPEN)
[5] OPERATOR(OPEN)
Now I haven't messed around in here too much, but if you want to reset your modem and GPS (restore the factory NV values for the modem, which COULD help data dropouts, bad GPS fix, etc.), do the following:
1) Enter the MAIN MENU as described above
2) Select option 2 "UE SETTINGS & INFO"
3) Select option 1 "SETTING"
4) Select option 2 "SYSTEM"
5) Select option 3 "NV REBUILD"
6) Select option 3 "ALL"
7) It will tell you to reboot. Do it. Reboot will take slightly longer, but it will completely reset the modem, GPS, and IMS settings
I'm sure there's a lot more that can be done that would be useful in the main menu, but I'm not feeling like destroying my phone ATTM, so I'll let others chime in.
Hit Thanks if you found this useful!

That code doesn't work for me. It's the menu you get to like the one above?

Interesting.
Going through the settings (not changing anything)
I noticed this phone is enabled on LTE bands 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 17 and 20 right out of the box.
No need to change anything.

Interesting. You'd think it would work on all 900t if it were working on one. Oh well now we have two ways.

Band 20 is accessed in a different section. Not used in the US, so no big deal.

I go to UK, and they use Band 20 so it is important to me. Can you show us how it is accessed?
thanks
I can't seem to find it now. I just updated to the new firmware, so it may have been removed. I did notice a Verizon menu for enabling their LTE Band 4 frequency.

[Q] VoLTE?

Anyone heard anything about VoLTE for the T-Mobile G3? Particularly since they're probably going to re-farm their PCS GPRS/EDGE directly to LTE and skip HSPA+?
Unfortunately, VoLTE doesn't exist in Call Settings like other supported phones.
However, I'd keep HSPA/LTE mode because VoLTE isn't that stable in LTE congested area.

What would happen if we enabled it?

Nothing negative, then? Because I'm all for enabling it as long as it doesn't screw things up.

It shouldn't effect anything . People have tried this to see if it would quit dropping from Lte to 4g during calls.

I haven't tried, I've just remember reading a lot about it. I picked up the g3 yesterday. Not even sure how to get to that menu yet haha but glad everything is working as it should. I'd assume it won't do anything till the service is official.

Dial 3845#*851#. The LTE-only settings are right there. When you go to LTE-only, go to modem settings and then something like "enable VoLTE radios". Bam.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it doesn't work - I'm in a VoLTE market, confirmed by a Galaxy S5 but even after "enabling" and rebooting the phone still drops to 4G HSPA to make the call...
I even searched the build.prop and can't find anything mentioning VoLTE. We're probably going to need a software and baseband update to get it turned on when T-Mobile decides it's the correct time.

With any luck (of which I have none) they'll enable Band 12 support at the same time. Assuming they built the possible capability into the hardware, which I know is a bad assumption. Just let me keep hope alive.
BUMP!
Now that voLTE is released for the 20e, is there any way to know what to flash on top of custom ROM's?
