Thanks, however, can someone shed some light on this, because all these codes are working on Note 2 even if you are not rooted on stock Rom.
So, what does changing the EFS from OFF to ON?

I followed the instructions perfectly. It caused my data signal not to work.
Luckily, reversing the OFF to ON then rebooting restored data.

That's weird cuz you said you reverted back to ON when it was OFF??
The instructions say turn it ON in the first place. But it's working now which is good.

It was OFF, then after reading this read, I changed it to ON, turned phone off, removed battery, restarted, no data. Waited several minutes, I might add.
Then, I went back in changed it to what it originally stated: OFF. Now everything working.
I'm running cm 11. Would that matter?

Hello all. I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the 100 sms/hour limit?
I have seen other threads and searched on the web but none of the methods I found work.

It is in AOSP so I don't think you can change it. Although In the AOSP messaging app once you hit 100 it says something like messaging is sending too many sms do you wish to allow it

There is no way to remove it.
it's because AOKP is a port from another device... most likely the international GSM version.
This warning happens with GSM roms.
at least thats what i understood when i had the Gnex running Jelly Bean... which was a port from the international nexus.

UPDATE: I finally was able to increase the sms limit.
I went into /data/data/com.google.android.gsf/databases/gservices.db
From there I went ahead and added the record "sms_outgoing_check_max_count" and set the value to "9999"
To be on the safe side I also went into /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
Opened the "system" table and added the record "sms_outgoing_check_max_count" and set the value to "9999"
Backed out once and went into the "secure" table and added the same record.
Then I rebooted and tested it out with SmsBomber and no more annoying message.

Yes. On the latest CM builds superuser tends to act funny so download supersu from the market (its free ) and launch it,it'll ask to update binaries, do it and once its done try opening the settings.db again.
Also if you don't have busy box installed install that as well. First install supersu though

[MOD] Google Wallet fix (ALL VARIANTS..TMOBILE, ATT, AND VERIZON confirmed)

First and foremost i would like to say that i did not do this alone. With the help of Ogdobber, we got it working! its only right that i give half the credit to him! Since the first day owning this device, i tried numerous times to try and get it working, and now finally here it is!!
[THIS SHOULD WORK ON ALL VARIANTS (VERIZON AND ATT) WITH A CUSTOM RECOVERY, HOWEVER ITS TESTED FOR SURE ON TMOBILE]--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INSTRUCTIONS.. (MUST BE ON A DEOXDED TOUCHWIZ ROM. stock odexed roms will not work with this fix! I am running wicked V2 and it is confirmed working..)
10/5/2013 update.... Due to the new wallet verson, a build.prop change is NOT necessary... this can now be simplified into 2 very easy setep.
Step 1 .. Download my lib fix file and the modified wallet zips here..
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gvm9pvjqmo1j9j1/sgs4-lib_fix-w1.6-R96-v13.zip
https://www.dropbox.com/s/y8x1w9v97whpcuq/Google Wallet 2.0-R133-v9-MODDED.zip
Step 2.... Flash both files in CWM
reboot and setup wallet and youre golden!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HUGE THANKS TO OGDOBBER, Xeonox, romracer, and everyone who helped get this working!
Confirmed working on Wicked V2.
Thanks for all your hard work & weeks of fiddling around to get this up & working!

Enable the module in xposed and reboot
load MoDaCo's toolkit, click Google, check "Disable Wallet checks" and "Prevent app disabling"
Reboot
change build.prop back to orginal
Reboot
Profit!

Tried this on Wicked v2, and the first time I ran the Wallet app, it FC'd. However, launching it a second time, it succeeded. Not sure why, thought it was odd, but now it's up and running. Woot.
I do get the 'Unsupported Device' at top, but other than that it seems to fire off okay.

F240S: works great
but 3g/lte not working
cannot connect to service network.
I've been waiting to test this bad boy. Thank you guys so much. Donations will be coming August 16th!!!!!
Edit: bug: Call bug from LGOG where when you place a call, it shows it failed but it actually went through. I know there was a fix for it on the LGOG forums, but I don't remember what it is.
So issue of F240s:
no network connection
always button backlight shining
no vibration
no auto rotation
yes, works great except for that and what you mentioned
Thank you so much to everyone involved for getting us up and running!
The one quirk I've found so far is the Network Operator is set to Maritime (could just be me, though). When AT&T is selected I get a "Can not register" error and no signal. Data and cellular reception seem fine on Maritime.

Maritime is att. We had the same issues on the nexus 4 and lgog. Just a display bug. Its also why some people will and others will not have the call out bug.
One advantage I've found with it showing maritime is that I get service a lot more areas compared to being on the stock ROM.

Edit: bug: Call bug from LGOG where when you place a call, it shows it failed but it actually went through. I know there was a fix for it on the LGOG forums, but I don't remember what it is.

Hmm.... I want to know why my phone is still no service even when I switched back to stock ROM(data, cache, etc wiped before flashing KDZ)
is there anything that touches except for system and boot partition?(such as baseband)

Are your imei fields populated? If no, en lies your reason. Also it could be the modem. Is the modem for the f240 the same as the e980?

Only issues so far, only the flash home button and the camera the only issues I have. I was wondering if I used another camera apk if that would fix that issue? Thank you for your work.

Data is working fine, the home button doesn't seem to work when phone is locked. I will keep testing.

If I root my Note 8, can I install 4.2.2 with multi user support?

I'm reading that Samsung disabled multi user support. Does rooting solve this?

Touchwiz 4.2.2 ROM supports multi users. You just need to follow the instructions here:
http://www.pocketables.com/2013/03/how-to-enable-multiple-user-mode-on-cyanogenmod-10-1-and-some-other-android-4-2-2-roms.html
adding fw.max_users=8 to build.prop makes it permanent, otherwise you need to run the setprop each time you reboot.
Enjoy your new feature....

Cool thanks. Has anyone actually tried this though? I tried it on my Cm 10.1 Samsung S3 and it didn't actually work. You can add the users, but the lock screen doesn't give you a way to select them.

It looks like the pm command is not working properly. What happens if you do a pm without any arguments? It should give you the pm help page.
If it still gives you an error try fixing permissions in recovery and see if that helps.

Do pm list users and pm get-max-users work ok?
It may just be that the tab 2 can't support user profiles, but I would have though you should still be able to set them up, even if the rom doesn't give you the ability to switch between them.
I'm glad this thread was bumped. I was lookin for the same thing

Worked for me but I couldn't tell if this sets up a whole new user folder like in windows, in turn eating the limited 16gb we have. I want to reinstall a bunch of apps I already have for my kids but I don't want them taking up double the disk space. Can anyone expand on this? Damn you Google for taking away app2sd

Yes, it sets up a whole new user folder, and eats up some space, but apps istalled for multiple users do not take up double the disk space. The application data is only downloaded once, but the user data takes up space for each user.
/data/app is shared between users. (where the application is)
/data/media/obb is shared between users. (where the extra application resources are for games, etc)
The only problem is if apps download extra data to /data/media/0 (primary account), or data/media/10, etc.. (secondary accounts). It would be worth watching out for those and avoiding them, but it will not happen with well behaved apps.

[HOWTO] Enable MobileData and ADD MORE in your Notification Panel [UPDATED 1-24-14]

Hello I don't know about some of you guys, but I turn my MobileData off and on all day long.. And I noticed that there wasn't a toggle for data on the AT&T Variant of 4.3 so I did some research and I found out there is a way how to enable the MobileData toggle in the Notification Panel!
Here's how..
1. You'll want to download SQLite Editor from here... (http://d-h.st/MQD)
2. Then once the app opens and everything loads, you then want to scroll down until you see Settings storage click it.
3. Click "settings.db"
4. Click "system"
5. Now here is the tricky part your going to want to look for "notification_panel_active_app_list" NOT notification_panel_default_active_app_list
6. Long press on it and click "Edit Record"
7. Where it says value you'll see all your notification panel toggles..click all down and add "MobileData;"
8. Once you do that click save and reboot!
WIFIHOTSPOT:
Follow the same steps as above but Add "WiFiHotspot;" using the listed instructions no quotes and note the semicolon at the end. Also, its case-sensitive.
To add both mobile data and WiFi AP, it will look like this:
MobileData;WiFiHotspot;
Save, reboot, then add the toggles in settings. (thanks @taranis17)

WANT 12 TOGGLES INSTEAD OF 10?
Another useful option here is:
notification_panel_active_number_of_apps
it can be set to a slightly larger number if there is not enough slots for all the switches you want (changed from 10 to 12 in my case). Both settings and the panel itself will reflect the change upon restart. (THANKS @avich)

I also wanted the ;WiFiHotspot; in my toggle and found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382496
Its video someone made for the S4 but it works perfect on the Note 2.
I am using Sky Note Air and it worked perfect!.
Excellent... thanks. I used PowerToggles to add the missing MobileData toggle but your method is much cleaner.
You guys are very welcome!!!
