Hi,
I'm on the Moar Rom and was wondering if anyone can create an integrated dialer with google voice. The first integration I would like is the ability to see voicemails in the call log. This is available on stock android by setting it in google voice app but doesn't work with the touchwiz dialer. The second integration I would like is for the bottom left button be able to launch the google voice app. Thanx in advance
I don't believe so. But that's sorta what a voice is lol.. Say call who ever and it will
Your confusing Google search/now with google voice. Thanx though

Nah sorry man. Stupid typo. I meant S VOICE.
It still doesn't seem like you read my original question, or you just don't know what Google voice is. Thanx though

I downloaded voice from the marketplace but the only options I have are voice mail and that's it. I cam make calls or sms. Is there a way around this or am I stuck with only voice mail? Is anyone else having this problem?

Do you have a registered google voice account with a working GV phone number given to you by google? You need a full account for full functionality. Simply downloading the app is not enough.

weird i can send fine from the message app but if i try GV it just goes away. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling GV but its still not working :-(
Also if i click the contact and then choose GV it goes to GV but nothing shows in the message box but if i choose the messaging app, what i told google to send will be in the box. this is just weird

Did you check your sent, outgoing box? I don't think Google Voice is updated to work with Jelly Bean yet. At least the voice part of it...
Yeah its not in the outgoing either

Same here, reported it to google a little while ago, only seems to affect GV, the normal messaging app works just fine
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34175
also, typing 'send text to <contact>' into the search box then selecting GV does send the message, it's just the speaking the command part that doesn't seem to work.

Well I wish I had seen your post before I hard reset but at least now I know it won't fix it. Thanks for your help hope it gets fixed soon

Hey guys, I also have another issue with Google Now Voice Search. When I ask for weather forecast, it always returns result for Washington DC although my current location is Dallas, TX. The weather card in Google Now main screen displays the correct location, though. Anyone has the same problem?
P/s: I managed to get OTA update to JB 4.1.1 by doing the clear framework trick and restarting my phone several times, does that have anything to do with the above issue? Thanks!!!
is google doing anything to solve this problem ??
I haven't seen any updates to google voice app lately
So here's my thinking, why do we need Google Now in jb when we got S-Voice? Are we still going to have s-Voice in jelly bean? Cause that'd be really stupid if we had both. What do you guys think?

Google now offers more then just voice search. Google now cards and weather and flight and traffic available at the push of a button. S voice is stupid gimmicks to me. Kind of made them weak... but ya stupid for both but they will both be in JB.

Well I tried Google Now when I had a nexus pretty responsive compared to svoice but svoice is part of the s3.

I think S-voice is stupid compared to G voice. The Google app understands me better and knows when I have stopped talking as oppose to S voice where I have to hit the button.
My S3 is running CM11 nightly 1/12/14 and I can not send/receive. I have went into keyboard settings and added emoji to my add-on dictionaries and still nothing. Any help would be awesome.

by off chance you have google voice installed and integrated into your sprint account? if you do, there is your problem. google voice does not encode them.
How would I go about taking voice off??

if you do have google voice activated and integrated with your sprint account, you need to log into the google voice on your pc and deactivate the integration with your sprint account. uninstall google voice from your phone, reboot and try your emoji. they should work now.
if you use google voice just for visual voicemail, you can still do that but don't integrate it with you sprint account by download the app again, open google voice and you'll be at the welcome screen, hit skip button, sign into your account is the next screen, hit sign in button, set up google voice is the next screen, hit next, make calls is the next screen, hit do not use google voice to make any calls and hit next button, set up voicemail is the next screen, hit next button, the next screen should say you need to dial a number to activate voicemail, tap on that number and call it, it will make some noise and end the call, back out till you are back at the google app, hit next, a popup will say you need to call that number again but you dont have to so just okay. now you should have google voice setup and use it for voicemail and your emojis should work with no problems.
Has anyone taken a look at porting the HTC Visual Voice mail that's included with the AT&T M8 to T-Mobile? I'd love to have an integrated Visual Voice mail over having a separate app.
+1... Either that or has anyone figured out how to get the Google Voice voicemail notifications to display/be listened to from within the stock phone app? (i.e when you go into the Google Voice app's settings and check the option to "View and play voicemails from the phone call log")

From what I've heard Google Voice will never because it uses the stock phone app to integrate with, so I'm thinking our best luck would be this built-in voicemail :-/
You can download the tmobile visual voicemail apk

Like I was saying I'd like to have the integrated one over the seperate app.

Sorry about that. I totally missed that part of the sentence. It would be nice though hate having to download an app just to be able to see my voicemail.
