E977 Help - LG Optimus G (International)

Hello i have LG Optimus G E977 and i root it using motochopper method but it is only for Root it does not install a custom recovery so i can instal custom roms so how do i do that?
I tried installing CWM for the E975 using Rom Manager app and it says that it was installed but when i boot to the recovery i get this error.
"Secure booting error! Cause : boot certification verify", then i need to use the LG Support Tool to return to stock and unroot.
What Custom Recovery will work on E977 and how do i install it after root?

Mate, you should've posted in the Q&A thread, NOT the Development thread. Install FreeGee from PlayStore, run the program to unlock your bootloader (if it doesn't support your software version, upload the .img through FreeGee so they can hopefully work on it), then install TWRP/CWM. It's a very simple process. And yes, you'd be needing root for that.

There is your answer. Better read before doing proceedures you don't know.

The easiest method of installing TWRP is by using TWRP Manager...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jmz.soft.twrpmanager
I can overwrite the recovery (I have CWR) with TWRP Manager? No problem?
The software showme a windows with this "Something is wrong: FLashing recovery was unsucessfull. Either you already have this recovery installed or another has occurred. Would you like to attempt rebooting to recovery now?... It give me 2 options CANCEL and OK.
If you already have CWM (ClockworkMod recovery) installed, then installing TWRP after will just overwrite it. Normally that error pops up if you already have TWRP installed. Select OK, and let it reboot into recovery. Then post back w/ the results. Also make sure to select D851 as the phone model, and 2.8.7.0 as the version of TWRP to install.
SOLVED. TWRP and Root access. Thank you redduc900. :victory:

Using Flashify to unlock bootloader

Hey Folks,
Not being a tech wiz here, but do you think I could use the flashify program on my rooted LG G3S (D722) to unlock the boot loader using the boot.img on the site (yes the correct one) or will I just end up bricking my phone?
Not wanting to brick it but I want to install Cyanogen mod 13 but keep getting secure boot errors ect when ever i try so I figured out I might need to unlock the boot loader to get into twrp recovery...
Taa
yo man you dont have to do all that.just root your device.if you are in lollipop or kitkat stock then this will work.
just root your lg g3s if u r in kitkat or lollipop.then install twrp manager.then install twrp from there i hope u know how.then it will download and install twrp .and if u r in lollipop u can download cm13 rom and directly go to twrp and flash it.thats all i did.i did not do that bootloader unlock long thing you are telling here
Doesn't work; I keep getting this at the boot screen it then stops...........having to remove the battery
[650] fastboot_init()
[750] Usb init ept @ 0x1001e000
[770] udc_start ()
Any ideas?

[help] My G3 doesn't accept custom Roms

Dear all, as i mentioned My LG G3 F400s doesn't accept any custom roms but no problems about stock roms
It was accepted in the past but not now, I tried everything to solve this problem but nothing work
before I used cloudy and fulmics without any issues but last month I tried to flash OTA I got Boot-looping then i used flash tools to flash kitkat.tot and rooted it to flash custom rom but I got boot-looping again
I repeated all steps and after flashed kitkat I flashed Lollipop.kdz by LGUP and it accepted but after flash the custom recovery I got "secure boot error" message
I did that many times with different versions of custom recovery and custom Rom (Cloudy and fulmics) but after all steps I got Boot-looping
Now I am using MM stock Rom but there is no root for it yet, So any help please.
sorry for my bad English I tried to explain as much as I can.
Thanks.
So you mean you are unable to flash recovery on your device.
Which recovery and recovery version are you flashing. From where you are downloading the recovery.
Have you tried to install recovery using autorec. If not give it a try from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/apk-flash-twrp-autorec-thanks-to-t3081396

Unfortunately , autorec. need root access so i am not able to use it.
G3 has root access for marshmallow why are you saying its not ?? Try flashify for twrp flash check youtube for a demo .... After successful flashing then root ur device download kernel auditor check to see if u have stock kernel or previous custom rom kernel always make sure u have a backup of root + stock rom in twrp always
Use kingroot apk to root it temporary using internet connection and then flash recovery by flashify or adb method. After that flash supersu zip or just flash rooted custom roms.

Lg G3 d855 rooting without kingroot

Hello, I wanted to ask if there is an option to root the device (marshmallow rom 6.0) without using "Kingroot".
Sorry for asking again in the forum (someone already asked that and didnt get an answer)
Thanks in advance.
Yes.
Downgrade to 10A ( Kitkat ) using LG UP.
Root with Stump Root
Flash TWRP with your app of choice ( DD command will also do )
Flash one of the custom roms / @autoprime 's stock 6.0 .zip

I wanted to ask 2 more questions:
1. now, if i upgrade to marshmallow the root will "dissapear"?
2. I have problem to flash Twrp recovery. I tried autorec, flashify, and also official TWRP.
the message i get when i reboot to recovery - "Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify"
OK I solved this issue
here is the link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...7/post59895642
