Bluetooth PAN - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hello everybody. I'm not sure this is the right board for my question, so please let me know if i can post it on another board (thanks!).
I just need to build up a PAN (personal area network) over bluetooth, from my star b94m/b943 (android 4.2.1) and my pc (windows xp sp3).
I don't really need to tether; i just need to connect my pc and the phone by bluetooth using an IP network (something like a wifi hotspot without internet connection, but i need to do this over bluetooth because my pc doesn't have a wlan interface).
How can i do this? I searched the forum and it looks like i need to use the "pand" command from emulator; the problem is that my phone doesn't have that binary. Could you please help me? I would really appreciate even just the "pand" executable.
Thank you!

up nobody knows how to solve?

How to use the 8525 as a modem through Bluetooth PAN?

Hello,
I did a search and didnt find much, I also checked on Wiki and they explain how to use it as a modem via bluetooth dial up networking. I would like to use the bluetooth PAN feature in Internet Sharing but cant get it to work.
Firstly, I got the bluetooth dongle connected with the Bluetooth PAN. It tells me that they are connected and communicating with each other, the bluetooth software (bluesoleil) even provides me with an ip address, however when I try browsing on my laptop I get the message page cannot be displayed...
Can anyone please shed some light as to why it does not work?
Thanks a lot!
EDIT:
Seems like when the connection is established it gives the windows bluetooth adapter a weird ip address
like: 169.254.6.198
but I checked in network adapters of the 8525 everything is set for ip addresses to be assigned automatically .. strange..
in windows xp its also set to assign the ip address automatically :S
im not sure what else to do..
Launch Internet Sharing on your Hermes & set the PC connection to bleutooth PAN. Now, make sure the Network Connection is set to your correct data connectiion and press connect. It should say "Waiting for connection" Next, connect your PC & Internet Sharing should show "Connected". If you still can't surf then its a bluetooth driver issue on your PC. The built in M$ bluetooth stack (XP SP2 & >)works correctly with bluetooth PAN for sure. YMMV on others. The latest Toshiba BT stack definitely works too (based on pesonal experience).

Sharing internet over wifi through Activesync?

Hi,
I've got a PC, a laptop with wifi and my Artemis.
Now, I connect to the internet on my PC through cable, and I use Activesync (through USB) to do internet-stuffs on my phone.
But now I'd like to share the internet on the phone through wifi with my laptop?
Is this possible?
I've seen the hack to change the internet sharing "PC connection" from bluetooth to wifi (regedithack Privateinterface), but the "network connection" only shows my GPRS-connection, not Activesync.
How can I change that?
I *assume* I need to change the registry-key for PublicInterface?
But into what do I need to change it?
Or do I need some kind of proxy-software or something?
Nobody has an idea?
help
hey man i'd like to know that too, if you figured it out some way please tell me how to do it, thank you.
i would also like to know.
Me too, but i think its imposible w/o additional software on ppc.
I'd be really glad to hear there's a solution to this too, as I need to use Activesync simultaneously with allowing internet access to my laptop (would save me a few bob on mobile BB when I'm out in the car).

HTC HD as modem w/o ICS

Hi all.
I read a lot of post about this argument.
I need to control HD internet connection from my PC. I hate ICS because I need to start / stop internet manually on the phone!
I found some ModemLink or WirelessModem apps but nothing worked on my HTC HD.
Do you have suggestions? I need to use my device as a real modem from what I can call *99# or something like this.
Or otherwise I need to control ICS from the PC where HD is connected to.
Any help is much appreciated!
Bumping this thread because I also would like to know how to initiate dial-up to 3G connection from pc instead of starting ICS from the THD.
The idea is to have the THD 3G connection act like a 3G USB modem so that external appz could initiate a dial-up when it detects there are no connection.
And would there be possible on both usb cable and bluetooth connection? Is so, what is the necessary and difference?
Anyone?

Is there any webcam software that support netcam for PDA/Mobile phone?

Greetings:
My mom has Altzeimer. I would like to install an outside Wi-Fi netcam such that my Dad can watch her, using his PDA and Win Mobile with Wi-Fi capability, from anywhere in the house while she was wandering outside. I have been searching for hours and still unable to locate a webcam software which supports netcam for Window mobile devices (Axim x51v and HTC 8925). Does such software exists? If not, any suggestion to achieve this?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
WebCam
Hi
You can use Webcam XP "webcamxp.com"
with any WebCam (WiFi or USB).
This soft create a Server http in your personal Computer.
After you create a NAT (network adress translation) in your ADSL Box .
and you can watch your Webcam with any Internet Browser (PDA included)
I have try at my home, it works.
Thank you so much for your help.
It would be awsome if I can set this type of software and webcam for my dad. I think that I am kinda techy or may be more of a gadgetry type. I can figure out and troubleshoot hardware and software on most of PCs (friends, home, work etc) problem either by myself or by googling. However, I never venture into NAT, network, http server etc kind of things and wonder how difficult if will be to set this thing up with a router instead of an ADSL box.
By the way, which webcamxp, single, pro, mobile... do you use?
Anyway, I will post my question if I bump into any problem.
