Has anyone tested out wireless tether with XBox 360 for streaming Netflix movies? I understand the ping is a tad slow for FPS games, but I am willing to ditch my home internet if I can still stream netflix via wifi tether. I am 3G area now and know I will lose my wifi connection on any incoming calls, but 4G should be here in the late fall.
Has anyone tested the following.
Wifi tether (4G/3G) to XBox 360 (Wifi B/G/N add on or standalone) games (Battlefield BC2) Playable? (Y/N)
Wifi tether (4G/3G) to XBox 360 (Wifi B/G/N add on or standalone) games (Netflix) Watchable? (Y/N) HD??
Thanks!!
I have used to connect Wii to the tether. Worked great, no lag when I was watching. But I haven't been able to connect ever since.

Is this with the latest and greatest version? Do you think Nintendo banned the connection?
Anyone else test this out? I dont have the wifi connector yet and want to see if shelling out $100 for the N adapter is required for same room tethering.
Hello i want to play on multiplayer mode, during a travel or in the school with out being connected to a router just ad-hoc, but i can't, i dont now how it works but i only can play multiplayer games if me and my friends are connected to the same network, but when we are not connected to any network just the wifi on, the game dont create a host, i wanna know if this is posible playing just ad hoc, without router, just like psp, or NDSI,
i think to be connected to a router for multiplayer in a "portable" device is ridiculous

Hosting games from your Device and requiring a "Network" to join Multiplayer is game dependent from what I am aware.
I thought you always had to be connected to a network... which games work without being connected to one?

well, in asphalt6, star battalion thank you
Certain Apps like Where's My Water, Where's My Perry, Temple Run: Brave force close automatically if Wifi is not on. If Wifi is on, then the games run like normal (as they're suppose to).
My question is, is there anyway that the Kindle Fire can stay connected to my home network (not connected to internet, just connected to the home network out of range) so that it can trick the games that it has a internet?
I have checked with other Wifi networks in my area and these specific games only need to be connected to Wifi (not connected to the internet) to play.
If this is not possible, is there an app or a mod to make the Kindle Fire think that it is connected to a Wifi network(not internet) when I am out of range from my home network?

You can turn on wifi, open the app and then turn it off.
I have tried that but as soon as I turn off wifi, the app closes on its own
I use [email protected] version of these games. So it not require any connection.

how do I crack these games so internet is not required?
No don't use cracked games. They are illegal and discussion of them should stay off xda.
You need to buy them to play offline.

Hi, I was wondering if you can use this phone to make a WLAN network. I recently switched from iPhone to Android and am having trouble finding an app to compensate for my needs. Basically back on iPhone when I tethered, I would automatically be connected to the network I created so I could play WLAN only games (like Muffin Knight or Minecraft Mobile) with the other people connected to me. With this phone however, I can't connect to my own wifi so it doesn't work. I've tried the regular Wifi hotspot, Foxfi, and Simple Tether. Whether or not it works in providing internet connection isn't really important to me, I just want to be able to play with my friends
That sounds more like some custom ad hoc or p2p network. You trying to play games via your own teather via the wifi from the phone. So your host and others join your private network ? You can then relay internet connection to them local or is this more a network vpn tunnel?
I remember doing something like this back when I had an idevice im just making sure im understanding properly.
