My little contribution to the hero community
NR1. CM-6.2.0-RC0-Hero, Built this evening, well all know what it is,apps2sd etc.. + all google apps, everything included.
Wipe of all + ext partion
Flash rom
Well you know yourselves what you should do.

NR2. Gingerbread_2.3.1_r1_alpha1 This is a pure alpha, borrowed some from Lox_Dev particular solution on how to boot up
How to install then
1: Wipe of all in recovery
2: In recovery, adb shell run command
Code:
mount /system && rm -rf /system/* && umount /system
then flash the rom
3: Reboot boot and then when everything is ready
4: Reboot to recovery and flash gapps and reboot again
5: Enjoy

You don't need to only flash

sry i didn't understood what u meant
if u mean that i have to write the adb shell command so i did that and all errors above
and i tried to only flash without any command with adb shell but it's failed too
Hmm, the only problem I have is that WiFi gets stuck on obtaining an IP address.
Other than that, it's actually not too bad

What I mean is wipe of all(factory reset and dalvik cache), then the command don't care about the errors, then flash and reboot should work for all.

Well as I say, pure alpha but the direction is correct in all cases. the graphics are ok,so for those who have the strength, this is a good rom to build on.
thanks for the reply , i get an error saying mount is not recognized as an internal or external comand ??
This gingerbread actually works pretty well and smooth! I also get the "obtaining address", but it scans okay.
Btw, why ADW and not stock launcher?
Keep it up, Ele

I don't know about your second issue, but if you type adb shell and you get a #, that means you are in shell as root. Meaning you have root permissions. $ means regular user, # means superuser, in linux. Are you sure you aren't rooted?
i just found out that im rooted but now i need help where are the google addons and where can i access the recovery menu im such a noob

That has everything you need for gapps/cm6,
to get to recovery, download ROM manager from the market, then tap flash clockworkmod recovery, then reboot into recovery. You can also just copy the update.zip for clockwork recovery to your sd card and then boot into the stock recovery by holding vol down + power and selecting reboot recovery, and then flash update.zip.
thank you for your help now is there anyway i can load music on it ormake a music file????

Yeah, just copy music from your computer to somewhere on your sd card, the build in music app should find it.

Did you typed it on Terminal or copied n paste??
because u may have probably wrongly typed it in terminal!
once u open terminal, you will see a $ icon on the extreme left n only after that u type su that it will change to #...try it again!!
This trick surely works!

i typed accurate.
please, you help concrete, thanks.
Well...I would advice you to copy and paste in Terminal!
Or try this in adb...
Dude..this trick certainly works...since u r entering it manually there must be an input error..probably an extra space while typing it or anything like that!!
Try copy n paste...that will do the trick!

How'd you get it to stop boot looping? I can flash ROMS, but after I reboot once it'll boot loop at lockscreen. I am on the 5.10 hboot I had to flash that ruu tho then re downgrade and root. Idk how to get my phone to where it'll allow me to reboot it without it going into an endless boot loop.

We can't help you unless you explain how you flash a ROM. What did you wipe? Are you checking MD5. Are you waiting at least 2-3 minutes after first boot before unlocking?
