[Q] CM Camera - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I use CyanDelta, so since fresh installing CM and Gapps I have flashed over them many times. Yet I still have the stock camera. I am wondering how do I get access to the CyanogenMod camera? I don't have any root explorers other than the included File Manager (if that is one). What about if I uninstall gallery.apk with Titanium Backup and install a nightly?

[Q] CM7 RC-1 force closes all apps

I just tried flashing the release candidate for CM7 onto my HTC Incredible, and I can run almost no apps (including Gmail and LauncherPro) without them being force closed immediately. How do I stop this error so I can actually use the new ROM?
You need to flash a nightly build of CM7, then flash RC1 over the nightly.
Also flash it through CMRecovery, not through rom manager just to make sure.
You can also try fix permissions.

Stock camera on ROMs?

I can't figure it out, how do you do it. I want stock camera on CM 7. I tried using titatium back up (free), and I tried to extract the camera app from bonestock using astro file manager. I can't try to extract it from 2.3.3 (stock) becuase that's not a ROM I have saved, and I can't extract from my nanodroid bk.up becuase you need paid titatium bk up.
So I've tried to use tittanimun back up to back up the camera from NEWROOTS INCREDIBLE 2 HD. it was saved but when I flashed cm 7 it wouldn't install. I then extracted the file from HD using astro and install it, but it wouldn't install either.
How do you flash the stock camera (or somthing like it) on cm 7. Tell me what version you use of cm 7. What program you used (astro, titainium back up, anything else that's free). Please let me know what kernal your using.

Those cameras are sense framework based so you cannot use them on an AOSP Rom.
Cant do it. But you can install MIUI and backup that camera and use it on CM7.
Its a tad bit better.
Try Lg camera from the market. You're gonna like it.

[Q] GooManager not auto-rebooting after flashing update zips

Running CNA 3.8.0 with TWRP 2.3.10, franco #292.
When I want to flash update zip files (e.g. "CWM" compatible DSP Manager, GPS fix, etc) via GooManager GUI, my phone just reboots into TWRP. The file is not flashed. How can I get this to work? The only reason I have GM is for ease of flashing, and I remember this feature working a few weeks/months ago.
Thanks!

[Q] Stock 4.2 camera is not working!

Today I read a little guide from youmobile, about installing the new camera in android 4.2. (cant post link since im new)
I did everything except I forgot to backup first. Now everytime i start up the phone, open camera or open gallery it comes "Gallery has crashed".
Anyone knows what I might have done wrong? I used ROM Manager -> Boot into clockwordmod recovery -> flash zip -> and i chose the zip.
The camera is working trough apps like Snapchat, but not trough the stock app.
I could also use the stock 4.1.2 gallery and camera .apk so I atleast can get back my camera.
I am running on 4.1.2 takju nexus, with Air Kernel 3.0.46.
Please help.

try this zip. it's fixed so that everything should work.

if you still get crashes, you may want to reflash your Rom (without wiping).
also try fixing permissions, either in clockwork or rom manager

Thanks. I'm new tho, so what do you mean by fixing permissions. Could you give me step by step?
Go into recovery(CWM) and select the fix permissions option (might be under advanced)
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
Installing the .zip file already fixes permissions. Have you tried renaming the apk to Gallerygoogle2.apk in your preferred file manager?
second post, the link works perfectly.
Thanks!

[Q] unable to mount sdcard cm 10.1 rc2

I had SGH T999, rooted android with CM10.0. under settings->about phone->cyanogenmod updates I found CM-10.1.0-RC2. I tapped on it and applied the update. After doing that following problems started to occur.
1. none of the Gapp could work! I opened Titanium Backup, it threw an error that phone need to be rooted again and SU need to be reinstalled.
2. I used odin to root the phone again. I installed gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip. while doing that it threw an error that it is unable to mount /sdcard. To my surprise there were only 3 folders. under the folder "/0" ... i found all my content and the gapps zip file under this folder!
3. installation was successful. but after rebooting, a lot of apps started not working. YouTube, gmail, keep failed to start!
4. I thought it is a problem with the RC hence I downloaded the cm 10.0 stable version and tried to install that using rom manager (for some reason, rom manager had vanished! I had to reinstall it). Rom manager rebooted the device to install 10.0 but then again the error appeared "unable to mount /sdcard" a counter appeared from 20 till 0. it failed. I tried to browse to the zip file under /0. i could locate it but it also didnt work.
Now I am stuck with cm 10.1 rc2. gmail, youtube, keep aren't working. Some other apps also are reporting failure.
How do i fix it or how do i roll back?
You shouldn't have updated your phone in the settings. You should have downloaded gapps for cm 10.1 + rc2 in the cyanogenmod link then flash it (first rc2 rom then gapps) with the 3 wipes.

Have a look here "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2172271" flash that rom as they explain it
Drop to recovery.
Wipe cache.
Wipe Dalvik.
Flash the latest CM nightly (http://get.cm/get/jenkins/27987/cm-10.1-20130514-NIGHTLY-d2tmo.zip)
Flash the latest gapps (http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip)
Fix permissions.
No more problems.
