If you are talking about your Google account which is connected to your Xperia S, then go to Settings---> Under accounts choose Google---> Under the list of Accounts, chose your email id and click on it---> then press the Menu button and chose remove account
That should do it
I'm new to jelly bean xD btw thanks. Its Google account that I'm preferring.

You will not be able to use Google Play without a Google account.

I am running AOKP JB 9.26 rom & am having trouble with play store letting me select on agree & buy button. I can still purchase from the web tho. Any help would be appreciated. Already tried reflashing Gapps several times.
Click menu and accounts and Click on your account again or try a new account just to see if its your gmail account causing the issue or try clearing the data on Google play and google services framework

I know we are in an early stage of development but just curious if there is a way to get a Gmail 4.2.
The whole zoomed out email view is awesome and it's probably only thing I'm missing. I will appreciate if you have any guidance.

For some reason on stock AT&T when going into Settings > Application Manager (Select ALL) I see two Gmail apps. One is Gmail 1.0 and the other is Gmail 4.1.2.
Anyone else notice this? Any idea why there are two of them and if both need to be deleted in order to install Gmail 4.2?

Installed and working great!
sent using gNote II.
If you are rooted then use a File Manager like "Root Explorer" & go into /system/app & rename gmail.apk to gmail.apk.bak. Then copy the 4.2 gmail apk to /system/app and lastly change the permission (4.2 gmail.apk) to RW-R--R--.
Does tjos require root?

The app itself looks pretty much like the old version, you can just zoom all the way out so you can see the entire email. I'll post a picture in a little bit

Don't remove Gmail 1.0. It's useful label, which is responsible for the opening Gmail mails with Gmail by default.
Without Gmail 1.0 my phone is restarting by itself each time when I try to set the default access to the mails.

It didn't work for me on the Galaxy S3. The next download worked. But any changes I make on the phone won't get synced back up. See http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=42641 If enough people star it, Google will look into it.
It's anybody else having trouble logging in to their xperia with Twitter account?
When I go to add it it just goes to a blank screed with no ability to log in anywhere.
Is it just me?

I kind of remember a similar thing with mine, but ultimately I've downloaded the Twitter app and now it's there under Settings -> Accounts, so I guess you can try that as well.
