[Q] best rom??? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

I was looking through the tons and tons of roms and found a lot that I like but I want to know what everyone else thinks? I am looking for a visual stunning rom that offers lots of eye candy and one that overall still looks good but is very clean with the best performance. Of course I would like that to all be in one rom but I don't seem to see anything. Thanks for your opinions!!

The best rom...is the one you enjoy the most...
No one build catches the eye for everyone in the same way..
You should first determine if you want roms that run on the bleeding edge...or roms that run the conservative path...
Only you can answer those questions...as you are the best judge.....for you...g

Looking for more of someone else's opinion. I know what I like and I know what I will use... its just more of a question of what other people prefer... it never hurts to gain perspective...

But opinions are just that... Opinions. This thread is going to be closed for that very reason.

Why is everyone on the offensive? When I first got into this with my htc evo years ago one of my favorite things was discussing different roms with all my friends who also rooted there phones. It always enjoyed it. I didn't realize asking a simple question would rub people the wrong way. If the thread gets deleted then its no big deal, I didn't gain anything from it so I won't be at a loss...

This is the reason these threads get closed....
They always end in hurt feelings....and no benefits for the community...
Sorry I couldn't answer your question...
Plenty of roms to try around here...
Happy flashing...g

If you want the latest 4.2.2 I like PAC man Rom
Its has all Features from Paranoid Android. All Features from CM and some Features from AOKP. Halo is a nice new notification system to use too. I am using this one now.
If you want optimized Samsung 4.1.2 I like CleanROM ACE 4.9
It has great battery optimization and is fast. Great if you want Samsung apps and stuff.
Also depends on what launcher you use. I always use Nova launcher.

Everything has already been said
ALL ROMs are the best for those that use them

[Q] New guys to android couple of questions...maybe more

Hi...some questions about roms. There seems to be 3 main/best/popular roms for and E4GT. Starburst, Blazer and Calkulin...if I'm wrong tell me please.
1.) I have not found a way to really tell them apart especially as a new guy. What are the major differences.
2.) If I'm not gaming and simply am looking for best user experience speed which one is the best. I know quadrant tests don't really tell the whole story.
3.) I have CyanogenMod on my Touchpad and really like the customization on it like setting up what volume based on time. Does any one of these offer that option or additional options. I noticed that Blazer has CyanogenMod Libs I don't know what that is but that maybe what i'm looking for.
Thanks for the help.
Honestly the best thing to do us flash them and see what one you like the best. That is part of the joy of android.
I have tried both of phantoms ROMs and I like Blazers the best. Naerok one is awesome too.
Once we get cm on this phone we will see a lot more options in my opinion.
Hope that helps!

To be honest, all the Roms are fast and none will show any lag because the device itself is that good. You will not be able to notice any one Rom opening an app quicker then another. They will all lay games just as equal.
Right now I am using Calk's rom but it doesn't mean one is better then the other. I also believe Viper is working on an updated Rom based on his twitter post yesterday.

I've had the Sprint HTC Hero with CyanogenMod on it for quite some time. Whenever people in the sprint store saw that I was rocking Gingerbread, they were like "How the heck did you get it?!" Ha.

What do you think is the best galaxy rom and why?

Well let's hear what you are using and why.
For me I'm loving AOKP its seriously amazing. I like to have lots of tweaks/mods.

Loving AOPK! Best features, stability, speed (even on stock kernel)...
Bugless beast. Reminds me alot of enomthers n1 roms. Not alot of bells n whistles but extremely rock solid/stable and amazing battery life.
Personally not looking for endeless mods although that can be fun. I just wanted a rom that does everthing i need it to do well, and that i dont have to have the phone constantly connected to a power source.
Honestly, from the title of this thread i would assume the OP was talking about the different Galaxy phones on different providers? and not custom roms on the Galaxy Nexus? Maybe he could chime in an clarify this
Is it just me or is there one of these "what's the best" threads created daily?
good day.
hands down the best rom out there is Liquid on rootzwiki no question!!!!!! It does everything every other rom does plus more.
aokp + franco
I'm using FoxHound ROM. Good performance, nice custom features and a nice black theme...

Daily? Hourly.
People can't be bothered to use their intuition, or the search engine.
Okay just so everyone doesn't think i'm crazy from my post earlier.....the original thread title was ( What do you think is the best galaxy from and why?) till the OP edited it!

I wish it was minutely.
Long 'u' btw.
I think people missed the point of this thread. I see people asking what is the best from all the time. What I wanted to know is why people decided to choose the rom they are currently using.
Is it because you wanted a ton of features, do you want to keep to the stock experience as much as possible, etc etc.
The question was, "What do YOU think is the best rom and why?" It wasnt, "Tell me what the best rom is because I can't find out for myself?"

The best ROM out there is the one YOU want because of what features it has to offer. Go read all the ROM threads and take a look at the features, screenshots, user feedback.
You don't need a special thread for yourself for people to tell YOU what's the best ROM. There is no absolute answer to that question. It's like saying what is the best car out there? the best car is simply the one that fulfills your needs.
This goes for kernels as well and there are 50 other threads with this same question. Use the search feature and read existing threads.
Stock rom on gsm model is the best
Why? Using 2000 mAH battery, I could get 3 and a half hour screen on time with more rhan 3 days stand by. Or almost 6 hours screen on time with 2 days stand by

Totally agree
Gotta atleast try AOKP. Customization, battery life, extra features and runs smoooth. Although every phone is different you might just want to try a couple different ones and see which one is best for your phone.

What Is The Best ROM? (SGH-I747 Samsung Galaxy SIII)

Guys, quite bluntly - what is the best ROM? And no, I don't believe this comes down to preference. I think we all know what we want in a ROM:
-Stability
-Battery life
-Excellent performance
-Bloatware removed as much as possible
So let's hear it.
I've tried Diet ICS and right now I am running KyanROM. Diet ICS had poor battery life, but I am not sure why - only when data was on. KyanROM, I left the power saving mode on and it's been great so far.
You made a poll with only 4 roms? And you placed it in the wrong section? And...you asked a question that has no correct answer?
Yeah...it really does come down to preference.
Flash some roms. Give them a test drive. Then choose which is best for you.
wrong section not enough roms in the poll and like nun said comes down to which one fits you best
i found this thread hilarious 10/10
Ariel best hands down.

What a shame. You pretty much have anybody reading "And no, I don't believe this comes down to preference" laughing themselves out of their chair and thinking you're one extremely ignorant guy.
ROM's ARE preferential. First and foremost, some ROMs simply work better on some phones than others (smoothness, battery life, gps lock speed, etc.). Next, everyone has different preferences and needs per ROM and its features.
haha wali is nuts nun you have the best rom by far
This is dumb and going to lead to bashing devs

FIREEEEEEEEEE hahaha
For the record there is no best rom, all is personal preferences
These polls are stupid; they eventually get ballot stuffed by AOKP kids.

listen to the mods . personal preference i mean we all have a choice between 1 another.
All ROMs are the best
Seems biased to only have 4 ROMs listed
Next time list all ROMs and ask "what ROM are you running"

Most stable ROM for a month flasher?

Ya that really a loaded question and can get you a lot of fanboy answers. You best bet would be to show her some of the diffrent roms there are and the features they have. Then let her test drive it and see what she likes best. Thats what it alwasy boils down too. Not so much the best ROM but the best ROM for you as the user.
look around in the Android Development section if she's more into the stock S3 look and feel. some great options in there like i747z and CSROM

Definitely a matter of personal choice. Whether you go with my Intergalactic ROM, enewman17's, upndwn4par, or even more that I have not mentioned, chances are that you will receive a good quality experience on this phone. We all work together to make it better as a matter of fact. Take a look at each thread, flash a ROM, make a nandroid backup of your settings if you like it, try another, come back if you preferred the last one. We are fortunate to have many talented devs here who dedicate themselves to making this phone the best it can be. Good luck and regards.
I can't say "most" since I haven't tried them all, but these have been my favorites - simple, very stable, great battery life, de-bloated, no BS, just work great:
ICS - KyanROM
JB - Ultimatum S3
i like cyanogen mod but I am currently on Liquid Smooth RC2 4.2.2 rom and so far so good

What's the best ROM for the D710 in your opinion??

what's the best overall most stable JB ROM out there for the D710?
I don't care about fancy schmancy customizations. I want something basic and very stable (or just super awesome thats stable) .
I would love to hear your opinions.
I use my D710 for a lot of things, gaming/movies/music/inet surfing..
just wanna flash a new ROM and wanting your opinions.

All of them.....
I see now why these threads get closed.
There is no one best. Each have advantages/dis advantages. You just have to read threads completely..and follow all instructions. I find re reading each helps me to decide. I find with every different rom, I miss something that was in last I had.
Just test and try, plenty are here that can help you if problems occur.
