what's the best overall most stable JB ROM out there for the D710?
I don't care about fancy schmancy customizations. I want something basic and very stable (or just super awesome thats stable) .
I would love to hear your opinions.
I use my D710 for a lot of things, gaming/movies/music/inet surfing..
just wanna flash a new ROM and wanting your opinions.
Thanks!

Here, here.
Read threads and ask members about that specific rom/build.
With Agat's safe recovery in android development, you can try roms out.
Pp.

All of them.....
I see now why these threads get closed.
There is no one best. Each have advantages/dis advantages. You just have to read threads completely..and follow all instructions. I find re reading each helps me to decide. I find with every different rom, I miss something that was in last I had.
Just test and try, plenty are here that can help you if problems occur.

Hi...some questions about roms. There seems to be 3 main/best/popular roms for and E4GT. Starburst, Blazer and Calkulin...if I'm wrong tell me please.
1.) I have not found a way to really tell them apart especially as a new guy. What are the major differences.
2.) If I'm not gaming and simply am looking for best user experience speed which one is the best. I know quadrant tests don't really tell the whole story.
3.) I have CyanogenMod on my Touchpad and really like the customization on it like setting up what volume based on time. Does any one of these offer that option or additional options. I noticed that Blazer has CyanogenMod Libs I don't know what that is but that maybe what i'm looking for.
Thanks for the help.
Honestly the best thing to do us flash them and see what one you like the best. That is part of the joy of android.
I have tried both of phantoms ROMs and I like Blazers the best. Naerok one is awesome too.
Once we get cm on this phone we will see a lot more options in my opinion.
Hope that helps!

To be honest, all the Roms are fast and none will show any lag because the device itself is that good. You will not be able to notice any one Rom opening an app quicker then another. They will all lay games just as equal.
Right now I am using Calk's rom but it doesn't mean one is better then the other. I also believe Viper is working on an updated Rom based on his twitter post yesterday.

I've had the Sprint HTC Hero with CyanogenMod on it for quite some time. Whenever people in the sprint store saw that I was rocking Gingerbread, they were like "How the heck did you get it?!" Ha.
I want to know what your favorite rom is for the Epic 4g Touch and why?
Currently my top favorites are
CyanogenMod 9
Android Open Kang Project
Miui v4
These aren't in order
Thanks to
Some great devs such as

This thread is NOT a good idea. Soon it will be an all out flame war. These threads never last.
Lets say this much....Everyone has a favorite rom....Just because one person likes it doesnt mean another will. I recommend flashing ALL the roms to get a feel for what you like. Each rom has something unique to it. All of our developers are great. Give each rom a flash

All roms have their ups and downs. I like cm9 the most.
blazer seems to be the most popular so far. Im kind of in between roms. been flashing a lot lately, but nothing has fit just right like blazer did a few months back.
i got a taste of the ics and i cant go back tho currently on calk 1.6 with kobridge 3.3 tweaks
Agree with ReActiveDisorder, each ROM is different and each user likes different things. Just try some and find what you will like.

Have to agree with Reactive here.
OP...... just flash away man. Thats half the the fun of all this. Try out all the ROMS you want. Find out which one u like the best and stick with it.
Read up on some threads and OP's. Find out what features each ROM offers and go from there.
Its really that simple. Everyone will have there OWN opinion on whats the best..... and thats just what it is. THERE opinion, not yours.
Flash away man and just find out what YOU like.
Good luck bro.

Yep...... and how you say you ''personally'' look for stability and battery just backs up what I'm getting at.
Everyone has there own likes and dislikes about what ROM they prefer. Thats one reason why these ''what's your favorite ROM and why'' threads never seem to work out.

Ya that really a loaded question and can get you a lot of fanboy answers. You best bet would be to show her some of the diffrent roms there are and the features they have. Then let her test drive it and see what she likes best. Thats what it alwasy boils down too. Not so much the best ROM but the best ROM for you as the user.
look around in the Android Development section if she's more into the stock S3 look and feel. some great options in there like i747z and CSROM

Definitely a matter of personal choice. Whether you go with my Intergalactic ROM, enewman17's, upndwn4par, or even more that I have not mentioned, chances are that you will receive a good quality experience on this phone. We all work together to make it better as a matter of fact. Take a look at each thread, flash a ROM, make a nandroid backup of your settings if you like it, try another, come back if you preferred the last one. We are fortunate to have many talented devs here who dedicate themselves to making this phone the best it can be. Good luck and regards.
I can't say "most" since I haven't tried them all, but these have been my favorites - simple, very stable, great battery life, de-bloated, no BS, just work great:
ICS - KyanROM
JB - Ultimatum S3
i like cyanogen mod but I am currently on Liquid Smooth RC2 4.2.2 rom and so far so good
OK, I used to flash ROMs like it was my job about 1.5 years ago on my Galaxy Vibrant. When I got the SGS3, I decided that I was just going to root it and leave ONE ROM on it and leave it alone. I have been running AKOP Milestone-1 for the longest time.
Now it's time to flash something new and STABLE. I am looking for a ROM without any fuss and not a lot of bugs. AKOP Milestone-1 has bugs and I am finally tired of dealing them. Not have NFC has become annoying now that a lot of my friends have a NFC capable device.
As a community, what would you recommend for me to use as a ROM? What is the best kernel to use as well for this phone?
Thank you in advance....
This is a disguised best ROM thread. There are literally hundreds of threads just like this one. It's always an opinion. The only correct answer is: try them yourself, through your own trial and error, find the one that works for you.
If you don't want to update all the time, AOSP/AOKP is not for you. I will tell you that much.
The best, fully functional, most stable rooted ROM for any phone is a stock rooted unmodified ROM running the stock kernel. If you're looking for tweaks, add-ons, etc., you have to choose for yourself. Absolutely no user on here can advise you on that.

If you don't want to update often, then go with a touchwiz based rom. They work great, have nice mods, and are super stable.
I've used Wicked and Stockorama. Both great roms to me and have never let me down.

Users are expected to read the threads to make their own determination as to what is "best" for them.
Red, study, ask questions in the appropriate rom thread, and appropriate of use PM's is suggested.
General Discussion posts clog threads and get cloudy with arguments.
I was looking through the tons and tons of roms and found a lot that I like but I want to know what everyone else thinks? I am looking for a visual stunning rom that offers lots of eye candy and one that overall still looks good but is very clean with the best performance. Of course I would like that to all be in one rom but I don't seem to see anything. Thanks for your opinions!!
The best rom...is the one you enjoy the most...
No one build catches the eye for everyone in the same way..
You should first determine if you want roms that run on the bleeding edge...or roms that run the conservative path...
Only you can answer those questions...as you are the best judge.....for you...g

But opinions are just that... Opinions. This thread is going to be closed for that very reason.
Why is everyone on the offensive? When I first got into this with my htc evo years ago one of my favorite things was discussing different roms with all my friends who also rooted there phones. It always enjoyed it. I didn't realize asking a simple question would rub people the wrong way. If the thread gets deleted then its no big deal, I didn't gain anything from it so I won't be at a loss...

If you want the latest 4.2.2 I like PAC man Rom
Its has all Features from Paranoid Android. All Features from CM and some Features from AOKP. Halo is a nice new notification system to use too. I am using this one now.
If you want optimized Samsung 4.1.2 I like CleanROM ACE 4.9
It has great battery optimization and is fast. Great if you want Samsung apps and stuff.
Also depends on what launcher you use. I always use Nova launcher.
Everything has already been said
ALL ROMs are the best for those that use them
