Ok, as usual, I don't even know how to phrase my question....
Two major problems: process.gapps crashing all the time (asked for help about this, was sorted out at the time, now is back).
MMS won't work and Messages crash when I try to send them. I initially noted that SuperSU was blocking something like "system_server" but the permission has now been granted. It also asked me to uninstall other SU apps, which I allowed.
The phone is rooted, and running 4.1.1. from O2 UK. I think that the update from 4.0 to 4.1 wasn't trouble free because that's where all these random errors started. Maybe I should revert to ICS and let it upgrade again?

Hi and... errr... I don't have such options? All it gives me is HBOOT, reboot, reboot bootloader and power down...
In case you mean the stuff on the top of the screen, it's as follows:
***Unlocked***

Meanwhile, seems I've managed to fix the MMS problem. I have two APNs for MMS and Internet. Internet was working fine but didn't have some parameters that the other APN apparently needs. Now that are both with the same values, it works fine and Messages hasn't crashed yet...
Process.gapps still plays its tricks though...
Those fastboot commands are typed from the command prompt that you open inside the fastboot folder.
That is used for flashing kernels and recoverys

thanks for this i managed to bring back the original ROM.
also just want to give background info. on this..
after I bring back Sense ROM in this unit, i will be surrendering it to HTC center because the LCD was broken and need of replacement.
last month i brought it there and they were charging me a couple of hundred dollars on top of the LCD replacement, due to the reason im using a different kind of ROM and such..
How can i guarantee that the ROM im using is a legit one and so i wont be questioned by them anymore and just replace the screen?
I checked the software info on my phone now, and it displays:
Android Version: 4.0.4
HTC sense version: 4.1
Software Number: 2.17.707.3
HTC SDK API level: 4.23
HTC extension version: HTCExtension_403_1_GA_20
i hope this can be any of help to you
If you run the ruu succesfully its full stock. You can't run another ruu then the one that is released for your phone with your software number ! Don't worry about that.
The only thing that they will see is the relocked bootloader, they always know its been unlocked before. That's all.
They can make a problem of that, because in certain cases unlocking means no more warranty

now I can't even flash the bootloader, when I type "adb shell" I get: "error: device not found".

Well, alright. So I've unlocked it again but I have absolutely no data on it, (When I go into "Install zip from sdcard" it says "No files found."
Anyone got an idea what to do?
Oh and I'm using CWM, Recovery v5.8.3.1
Flash a new recovery first. Yours doesn't support usb mass storage to copy a rom to the sdcard in the recovery

This one does.
I unlocked the bootloader, rooted the phone and installed a custom ROM for my brother about a year ago on his HTC ONE X, but now he wants it back to stock, I've followed a video on youtube where I fastbooted the phone and flashed recovery.img and then oem locked and I've relocked the bootloader, but on the part where you run the RUU it gave me an error saying it's the wrong version. Heres the name of the file, the phone was originally on orange when first brought but was unlocked to any network a few weeks after so I don't know if that would affect it. I will put some information that is displayed on the bootloader below:

I don't know I did it right, but I booted the HTC ONE X into bootloader,
selected fast boot then connected it to the laptop via USB cable.
Then I opened cmd.exe and typed:

C:\>cd fastboot
C:\fastboot>fastboot getvar version-main

Hopefully this helps, and I like in the UK so I don't know what RUU to download :/

If you are rooted, than you have ,,super user" or "super su" app, enter app, and look around, you''ll find unroot (or something like that) press button, and i think that that's it, for bootloader you must use fastboot, tupe command i think that tha command is fastboot oem relock.
Also you can find nandroid backup for your cid.
Forgot, on what android version are you ? 4.1.1 or 4.2.2 ?
If you are on 4.1.1 use method with ruu.
And last i think you can't but someone else will tell you, in fastboot tupe fastboot getvar all, copy everything except imei and serial number, so someone can tell you what ruu can you use.
Hope i helped.
He doesn't need to unroot the custom rom because he can't update with that anyway. And root is no issue to update at all.
And dont relock !!! You can't restore a nand with a relocked bootloader
one x

Well no, but i think they pulled some very old OTA's. so if you are on a certain old android version it won't find the updates anymore. I edited my post and install the 2.17 ruu too. Check again after that. If it's still not working after the 2.17 ruu i have another option
