Off the top of my head its going to be in the SystemUI/res/drawable-hdpi or xhdpi
Named something like this:
Com_android_systemui_status_bar_close_off.9.png
If its .9.png, you got to edit it correctly with the included areas via a .9 editor.

Good work buddy, glad you got it sorted.
Gimp is also a good image editor for free.
I used that for years until I got Photoshop.

Asus Padfone Weather Widget

I have extracted the Asus Weather Widget from the Padfone update but I have no idea how to modify it to work on our SGS3.
It looks different/better than the Transformer version and I'd love to have it running on the S3. Here's the link to download it. If someone knows how to make it work it would be awesome.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/9xjfqebqlp4b227/Weather.apk
I repeat, this is not the same as the tablet version, which uses a different font and looks a bit worse.
It looks like this:

CM10.1 Mms.apk with Facebook Emojis

Hey guys, I really liked the facebook emojis so I figured I'd compile the apk with those rather than the standard ones.
1:Download
2:Use a root file explorer, go to /system/app and rename your current mms.apk to mms.apk.bak
3:Copy the modified mms.apk that you downloaded and paste it in /system/app
4:Change your permissions to rw-r--r--
5:Reboot and enjoy

Since it's from CM10.1, I assume that means it would also include the option to insert a carriage return instead of a smiley?

Hangout Emojis in CM10.1 mms.apk

I replaced the old iOS emojis in the messaging app so that they'd match up with the much nicer emojis from the new hangout app. Works great.
Basically, I pulled both sets of images and painstakingly matched them up one by one and renamed the hangout emojis, resized them, and placed them back into the APK using 7zip.
Anyway, here's the mms.apk in case anyone else wanted to use it.

Can anyone make a flash-able ZIP for this. I actually us a non-rooted custom ROM?
You sir are my hero!!! I just asked for this a few days ago over here. I tried it myself but couldn't get the MMS.apk to stop FC'ing. Now was wondering if you could get all 876 unicode emoji characters like IOS has. I was in contact with the awesome dev that makes the Shady SMS app and he has implemented all of them with the updated Hangout emojis, which is what inspired me.
Update: Installed but having a couple problems. Cant send or receive picture messages. Qhen people send them I never get them and when I try & send one the mms.apk fc's and I have to delete the thread to send another text.

Or you could just replace the emoji in the jbsourcery mms app (the exp one not the encore one - pop-up is not fully themed in encore).

[Q] Themed SecMms help?

Hello everyone, hope you guys are having a great holiday season. Anyway I've been trying to theme the stock 4.3 secmms.apk. What I have been trying to do is make a lighter theme. I'm not the best xml or theming but I know the basics. My questions if you're willing to help.
-How can I change the blue header on both the conversations and messages? I would prefer for it to a light grey. It seems impossible to change!
- How do I change the boxes. I would like theme similar to the hangouts theme. Everytime I try the words go outside of it.
That is really all for now.
Thanks for the help. :good:
