Yep, the first part where the glow comes in only does once and then it just glows.
And yell at Photoshop. That's as small as I could get it without reducing the quality too much. First time I rendered, it was 327mb

This is the boot animation from the Nexus 7 tablet. It works great on my Galaxy Nexus and I thought I'd share it.
NOTE: This isn't a recovery-flashable zip.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Browse to /system/media, mount as r/w, and rename bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak (to preserve your current boot animation).
2. Place the attached file (n7-bootanimation.zip) into /system/media and rename it to bootanimation.zip
3. After you place and rename the file, make sure the permissions are corrected, as shown here:

NOTE: I'm not responsible for problems with your device. I also don't take credit for this boot animation... I didn't create it nor did I port it, pull it out of a ROM, or anything. A friend of mine sent me the file and I'm simply sharing it with you all (I didn't see another thread in here about it).

THank you
Wow. This looks great! I'll definitely be keeping this on my phone for a while. Thanks a lot!
It would be totally awesome if a themer could 'fix' this boot animation. It always looks like the creator of the animation got drunk and cropped it wrong. The vertical invisible line separating from the rest. I dunno maybe just me.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I really gotta ask. Why put it in /system/media? The system looks first in /data/local so if you put it there, there are multiple advantages:
1) can be a larger file size (/s/m is limited)
2) easier to pull off with adb if you get a borked file
3) permissions are usually already good-to-go
4) you never have to replace the original file and have it should you need to return to stock
Otherwise, VERY nice animation. I was thinking it was going to be the standard JB one. Thanks for posting.
thanks for sharing mate..
tho..any chance we can get our hands some HD love?
since our Gnex screen is awesome??!!

Off the top of my head its going to be in the SystemUI/res/drawable-hdpi or xhdpi
Named something like this:
Com_android_systemui_status_bar_close_off.9.png
If its .9.png, you got to edit it correctly with the included areas via a .9 editor.

I had the same prob. What i did was when i went to permissions, i gave it read, write, execute for all groups: Owner, Group and Others. I think giving the permissions to Others was the thing that did it.
