I have the Some Problem with My NEW Samsung Galaxy Note 2....................
I recently installed a Root Permissions on Original Firmware, and I then installed a Custom Rom (I am Italian so I chose an Italian ROM COOKED ^ _ ^) of cis80. Up to yesterday's .. All okay!
For a Stroke, unfortunately, the phone started to reboot without any reason, and the last time it was restarted .. in a like Boot Loop... O_O The Phone Locked on screen "Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100" Without going on Next Logo of Loading (As Default What Samsung).
I've tried EVERYTHING .. but really .. I say to ALL! But nothing to do ..... What is the only one that I can to enter into "Download Mode" .. with Odin I've tried everything but everything I always returns "FAIL" or "Error Pit" & more .... or another Error. Also NAND Erase, nothing nothing... :_(
AIUTOOOOO!! I do not know Do! I have the Note 2 to 10 days c.a. ... and now I can't use it ..... My Beast is Down...
First, this isnt be .. a phone for kids.
Second, if you can enter into Download Mode, could be fixed. (If you couldnt enter you should need jig usb)
3rd, if you dont know what the hell are you doing, leave stock ROM.

Try 1.85 odin and if that wont help try to download non italian rom, uk one works for me before when i fixed my friend note 2
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
You try
1. download Stock ROM file
2. Use Odin 3.07 (recommend)
3. Open Odin (on computer use normal harddisk. Not solid stat drive,SSD) check Auto Reboot and F. rest Time and Nand Erase All OR Repartition (If you have PIT file)
4. Check PDA and select Stock ROM (your downloaded)
5. Start
6. Finished Flash Rom. You Remove USB and restart Your phone will stop at samsung logo. Never mine. You restart again (Hold power button). Enter stock recovery mode (Vol Up + Home + power button).Your Phone show error can't read data.
7. In stock recovery menu. You check wipe cache. and wipe cache+factory reset. and restart your phone.
8. Your phone may come back normal.
good luck.
Hello,
I have seen my note2 die in front of my eyes :/ reading a whatsapp the screen turned weird and shutdown, never to live again I fear.
I guess nand corruption? Infact was freezing and rebooting every now and then.
Model is n7100 international version (got it from an italian provider), rooted with samsung galaxy note 2 toolkit.
My flash counter is 1 and I read custom everywhere in the download mode. I'd give this to service centre but I guess I can't like this, right?
Any way of resetting flash counter from download mode? tried stock recovery and rom to no avail
So I can only enter download mode correctly and flash, no booting as stuck at samsung's glowing logo.
Results: tried flashing cwm (tried several versions from the main thread on xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2000138) flashes OK, but does not work entering recovery (I try invoking recovery by turning the phone on, having volume up and home button pressed) but the phone hangs in a loop.
My aim is to: access mounts (extract data from sdcard0, internal), wipe it/delete everything, flash stock rom and recovery.
I can only flash recovery image successfully, the original sammobile rom for n7100 will pass md5 correctly but won't flash in the end
BTW all flashes require a double md5 check and a double pressure of start to go on...

Hadn't even thought about flash counters...
Infact if it was possible I'd like to reset flash count from download mode, or... make it so the screen actually stays off )
G
I had this with my SGS 3.
I tried to flash a different framework and got boot loop. Tried flashing a stock rom with odin and once it restarted it would boot loop again and odin would say fail.
I flashed cf root kernel with odin to get CWM and then used Zoots wipe script (mega wipe) to bring it back to bare bones. Then took out the battery and put it back in and 3 button into download mode and then flashed the stock rom again... This time it booted up. There is always hope as long as you can get download mode my friend

turned off at 2% battery to replace the battery with the spare one.
Waited for full shutdown etc -> boot loop. Shut! Had twrt recovery and could copy data over to the sd (just a couple of things I was missing from the latest backup).
Why? No understanding. Did not dig (formatting dalvik I also accidentally formatted /system and data (...)), yet I am surprised: twice in 12 months.
Great phone for the rest.
Odin showed no mercy for a while... then magically worked, stock sammobile rom.
4.3 rocks and it still records phonecalls, major thing on the main phone for me.
Good day, guys! Sorry if my first post is related to a problem. I'm pretty new to Android so please bear with me...
So I woke up this morning and my Note 2 won't completely boot, it goes as far as "Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-N7100" screen and just completely gets stuck. I tried to charge it but it just shows the empty battery icon. I left it charging overnight so I don't exactly know what happened. My phone is completely stock, rooted it before then un-rooted later. No custom ROM, no custom recovery etc.
I tried to boot to Recovery Mode but it won't let me. Luckily it can boot to Download Mode. I figured I would flash it to stock ROM since I was still at 4.1.1 maybe I would just update to 4.1.2. I downloaded the firmware from sammobile.com and used Odin but it fails every time with this message:

Can someone point out the problem to me? I've read around that this is probably SDS but I'm still hoping that it's not. I bought my phone from another country so taking it back would be a little difficult.
Any help appreciated. Thank you!
I have been trying to fix my soft bricked Galaxy S3 for a couple of days and nearly tearing my hair out at this point...
Ok I installed a nightly and yep came up dirty. So I needed to restore it. Any help would be fantastic
So far I have tried 2 different computers, two different USB cables, all the different ports on each computer.
I have tried every Odin version and nothing seems to help. I have tried restoring the latest Samsung updates (back to stock) and a root ROM....nothing. Is there a way that I can reset the binary counter since I believe this to be the problem? i know I can download triangle away from the Google Play store but how do I put it in the phone that is soft bricked? I can put it in Recovery Mode or Download Mode but as you see fixing it with Odin has proved illusive.
The farthest I have gotten is this:
In Odin 3.04

this is why you should have a nandroid. try fully wiping and restart. if that doesn't work try to use a different odin and make sure you downloaded the correct firmware.
You posted this already in an existing thread maybe 15mins ago and I answered a few min ago. No need to double post. Just be patient. It can sometimes take a few hours or more before someone who knows how to help will come on and answer. Especially later in the evening during the week.

Dear all,
Thanks in advance. My friend have a Galaxy Note II, which stuck at the black screen with the word "Samsung GALAXY Note II GT-N7100". I try to go into recovery mode (Up, home and power button), it able to go inside with an android logo, but without selections for reset or recovery.
I then try to go into Download Mode (Down, Home and Power button), it seems able to go inside the mode with all the product name etc listed inside. While searching for the solution, i tried these:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696
I try the first part which is flash a stock rom... but from the Odin interface, it stated there is no pit partition. I then turn off the phone and redo the procedure. When i try to start download the rom, this time it stated complete (write) operation failed.
I am not really familiar with these flash and odin and etc, just try my luck... but it seems no luck. Can anyone give me some advise on how to fix this? Thanks...
If further details is needed, just let me know, cause i am not sure what should information i should provide.
Thanks again....
** By the way, i realize that when ever i try to switch off the phone, it will automatically switched on but still stuck at the welcoming screen... it wont let me switch off.. **
