I just got it yesterday and here is my exp
1. Even though I use it very carefully (still waiting for my case and screen protector arrive ), I have couples minors scratches on the screen (which I dont know why it happens on the Gorrila Glass)
2. Overheat auto dim brightness when I use maximum brightness about 15 mins
3. GPS sucks !!!
4. Sound quality so bad compare to my iphone 4s, especially when listening music by headphone (mine is Audio-Technica ATH-M50s/LE) or by AUX cable on my car. Iphone 4s give me louder and more crispy sound. This issues happens to me before with Nexus 4. I really doubt that Qualcom chipset sucks at music experience.

1. not sure how people do this, are you tossing your phone in a pocket full of change or with your keys? Have diamonds in your pocket? I find that when I keep my phone and ONLY my phone in my pocket I never get scratches.
2. On full brightness with a 1080p movie playing I have had no overheating problems at all. And that was outside in the heat of the day.
3. I find the GPS takes a little to get a fix, but once it has it...its accurate and doesnt lose it.
4. The sound using my Klipsch S4 earbuds is just as good as it was on my Galaxy Note 2. The Bluetoth audio is just a tiny bit less clear but I am no audiophile and cant compare accurately due to my horrible hearing.
Of course these are my opinions. If you dont like the phone...return or sell it?

not one single good thing listed in your experience with the device, yes i would return it and run along elsewhere.
Gorilla glass isn't hard to scratch, it's harder to break(given how thin the glass is it really is amazing that it doesn't break dropping out onto carpet).
I've had no GPS issues at all
I think the audio may have to do with the safe volume crap they have going on.
My issue is the stupid implementation of the emergency calling system..I've called 911 7 times in the 2 weeks I've had it. Press and hold!? That's the only thing my leg can do..I will return the phone over this issue

For the GPS, do 2 things .Download GPS status from the play store and se how long it takes to show locked on GPS status app.If its taking long on an open area you have a defective unit.We have 3 OGP purchased at different times with no GPS issues whatsoever. The next step is connect to your home wi fi with no gps.Maps will tell you to change your settings you need to check and uncheck the GPD boxes several times to get the setting to take.
Glass issues, these days to scratch a glass like these take effort
Sound is similar to all devices, except HTC ONE.One of the threads within XDA has tested audio on all devices

Also for GPS make sure you have location access turned on on your Google account setting. By default it's and Google maps won't get a fix....

Overall I think the OGP is a very good phone. Two things that do bother me are 1.) the music output is only mediocre. I have to say my Note 2 has much better sound quality. 2.) the screen is very reflective - it's a shame because the screen is very good but the reflections make it somewhat difficult to read off of in brighter conditions.
I seriously don't have any complains with this phone at all. Not even the slightest. Screen is fine for me in daylight at only 75% and its been sunny as hell here in Co. Audio output is great for me too. I use SD-9HD and they are loud. I have to turn it all the way up and then down 2 times so it doesn't stress the speakers. Phone getting hot has never been an issue and here in CO its been 90s for the past two weeks. As for the screen, you guys must have stuff in your pocket that super Sharp because I have coins and screws(I'm a copier technician) in my pocket with my phone and no scratches. Maybe I'm just lucky I don't know.

I've got the GPS issue. But it's a minor squabble in an otherwise great phone.

I'm a hardcore audio guy, and I'm very pleased with the OGP. Like most other flagship Android phones, the Pro supports USB audio. If you think the stock headphone jack on phone X sounds good, try listening to a high end portable DAC/Amp combo. I realize very few people are willing to carry an extra device around just for sound. But for the most audio obsessed of us, it's the only way. Built in speaker and headphone jack quality are essentially irrelevant.

I don't currently have a cable to allow that. It hasn't been an issue for me though, even when I was using a GS3. But there are cables out there that accommodate USB audio and simultaneous charging. I remember the days with my touch. All the hacks and toys I had with it. At the time the phone was awesome, my iPhone killer
One thing that sucked was the speaker.. for one including this phone I can never understand how a video device has the speaker In the rear, but whatever with this phone it works, he touch not so much, it was pretty bad, so I use to hack it so it would amplify the speaker, so much that I busted it 3 times had had to get 3 new phones...
I am not asking about the loudness with this phone, even though I see some apps that increase the volume, I don't need it, but what I'm asking is.... since my touch I am always scared when a video or game plays loud. I am always thinking that the speaker is going to blow... does this speaker hold up? I am more scared about the alarm (stock) as it can go off sometimes for 10 minutes before I wake up LOL.....

I really don't think you'll ever find what you're looking for.
1) When your alarm goes off, get up and turn it off
2) If you're concerned about loud audio killing the speaker, plug in some headphones.
I may be coming across as an ass but I'm seriously not trying to be. You modded and destryed 3 phones before, just accept that you need to change your habits or pay the price for destroying things before their time.
I've never had an issue with the speaker but, except for the alarm, I really don't use it much.
I plug in some pc speakers when im playin music or videos, there are few that dont need batteries or wall plug.

Maybe you didn't understand my post.. I was writing it from my phone and it was my first time..
I blew 3 phone speakers before.. The phone as I said WAS NOT THE EVO, it was the TOUCH..
The speaker on THAT phone sucked..
Again.. With that phone (the Touch) it was very common for the speaker to go bad.
So again, do you hear(no pun) a lot of people breaking their speaker on the EVO?
How is the speaker on the EVO?
You say you plug headphones in while playing a video, is that because youre afraid of blowing the speaker?
I'll give you my non-professional opinion. It's tinny (no that's not a typo). No bass. I could easily see it getting blown if you pump bass heavy songs especiallyif you're using an EQ. That being said, I have used it for music and found it plenty loud
Sent from the void...
I've used gentle alarm since the phone's release week and have mp3s playing at 80% system volume as my alarms. So far my speaker has had no issues whatsoever. Like wuclan48 says you're probably gonna be ok if you don't use it extensively with heavy bass or at super high volumes.
As for alarms going off for 10 minutes, my mp3 playlist plays at 7, 715, 730 for 10 minutes each assuming i don't turn them off, which i normally don't cuz i'm a lazy bastard that likes to sleep in.
Don't intentionally push the speaker and you will most likely be fine.

Mine is general AND has a poll, the other one is too specific and restrictive: proximity sensor and battery. In mine, you can vote and eventually explain why. That's why I created a new thread.
Absolutely not.
I had the nexus one before and thought DHD would be my secondary phone (I have to have two) but after playing with it for one hour I switched sim cards and never looked back.
One word - screen. When I look at the nexus screen now it looks like a toy.
Although I am a bit irritated about the speaker quality.

Isn't it? You would expect more from a flagship phone and boasting "Dolby Mobile" and "SRS", the nexus one had none of these and although the speakers were rubbish too, they still where better then those on the DHD.
Absolutely not! I got mine yesterday & I LOVE it. I cant stop playing with it
Ignoring the battery issue (it's getting better after few charge cycles though), I don't regret it all.
today i took mine out for a solo test run for the first time. came off charge at 10am and 12 hours later has 35% battery, after 45 minutes of gps, 3 hours of wifi internet and and hour of angry birds. oh and 3 phone calls. thats not bad. this is after 8 complete charge cycles done over 4 days. when you use it heavily it dies quick, but pace yourself and it does juuuust fine.
the camera is shockingly bad though. white balance is terrible, focusing in anything but perfect light is crap, and the image quality is questionable.
and the ear speaker volume is a little quiet for calls in loud environments, but its CLEAR. i had no problems hearing what the other person was saying, even in a noisy cafe.
I'm not really shure if I would have bought it and these are the reasons why:
battery life is not that good, although I expected this so it's not really a reason, though I'd like to mention it
"Locations" only works with data connection, so what's the use of preloaded maps then? I want to see my location without having a data connection (when roaming abroad) but this is not possible, why not? such a shame. This should be possible. I even think it's ridicoulously easy to implement in a firmware update, though I wouldn't really know
Speaker is absolutely useless. I never hear it when it's in my pocket and to make matters worse, the vibrator is not one of the best either. It makes a lot more noise than it should and it just vibrates fast, not hard. The lower the frequency and the bigger the amplitude of the vibration, the harder you feel it. Every phone in this price range I ever had, had a better vibrator
camera quality is very disappointing. On the DHD's screen it all looks very nice and crisp, untill you copy the shot to your pc, bummer... I was expecting a serious improvement in quality, coming from an iPhone 3GS but sadly this is not true
setting up the dlna to work (if compatible, which it is rarely!) is harder than running to the store, buying a Nokia N8 + hdmi cable, transfer some movies to it and connect it to your tv. So, kinda useless...
is it really that much trouble to install a LED notification light that you can actually see from an angle?
Ok, flash in the browser works, but how... it's slow and laggy
to sum it up, the DHD is still a fantastic phone, but to me a flagship device should excell on EVERY field, or at least be way above average on every field. This means GPS solution + speaker + camera... everything! And it just doesn't, not even by a long shot.
Honestly I was expecting more from the DHD
for the moment I'm keeping it because I still feel there is no phone out there that can offer me this much, but as soon as Symbian revamps their UI, I'm going back to Nokia. On the insides, S60 is still a very good OS and I love it for its possibilities but sadly it looks like crap and we're too spoiled by iOS and Android to go back there...

Actually, the my first impression was: Nice, big screen, but the colors are off.
I had a black wallpaper on my N1, put the same on DHD and it looked bleached.
After over one week of usage I have no reservations as to the colors, the screen is pure brilliance, I am never going back to a <4.3" screen.
You must be lucky with the speaker. Youtube is nigh unusable without headphones.
Hey guys I'm in need of an upgrade and I think the HTC One is the answer!
I was wondering if you could please give me feedback on your experience so far.
All I know about the cons like
Can't change battery
No SD card...
So how is the battery life etc??

Absolutely love the device.
The Zoe feature and camera UI is top notch. You can do some really neat things with photo editing that I haven't seen on other devices. Galleries and slideshows are very cool too. I love showing those off to people and they're always impressed.
The screen is absolutely gorgeous with great viewing angles.
The front facing speakers are as good as people hype them up. I feel like I'm listening to a mini Bose system when I use them.
The build quality/design is among the best in smartphones. Easily the sexiest device I've owned.
Battery life has been surprisingly tremendous for me. I only plug in at night and easily get through a day of pretty heavy usage. Typically have about 40 to 50% battery left by the end of the night. I do use the snapdragon battery app so maybe that helps a bit.
The storage space was a concern for me but I ordered a meenova and it should be on its way soon. The reviews I've read on those have been positive and I just received my 64gb microSD card which I'll use for my carefully curated music collection. That will free up the 32gb onboard for everything else.

32gb is not enough storage for a phone? I'm curious what everyone is storing. I'm probably using less that 10gb currently. For music, I'll download an album here and there, but usually use pandora or stream from my amazon cloud.
For the OP, no problems so far. Battery life has been good. I don't try to let it run down, charge when I'm able, and haven't died yet. Looking at a portable battery pack just in case.
Phone is very smooth and fast, no problems streaming videos or playing intense games like asphalt 8.

I'm a big time music aficionado and have a ton of music on my phone. I don't have unlimited data so streaming isn't really an option.
I have only had my for a few days but I get a full day of battery life without any issue. I am a fairly low to medium user, but on my droid3 I would have to plug in at the 10 hour mark.
Here is a screen shot of my first full day, medium use downloading apps and getting it all set up. Plus about a million speed tests.
I can vouch for battery life being great for such a beast of a device... My rezound with half the specs and extended battery pack has about the same life as my One with similar usage, but the one does it faster with a bigger screen.
And I think 32gb is adequate. I would love to have 64 or 128, but I never use more than 16 or so GB before I start cleaning storage out.
I love light and fast with a small footprint, so this phone rocks.
Sent from my Zune HD. Yeah, I still have one of those.
(EDIT) Since posting the below, including edits, I have come to the conclusion that my phone is indeed defective, and am having it replaced. I'll report back.
I love the phone, but there are three major problems that prevent me from recommending it, although I don't know what else to get.
1. The camera. It has problems with focus, and the interaction between focus and exposure settings. It's hard to get a sharp picture out of it at medium to long range, making it all but useless for landscape/distance shots. The default settings let in too much light outside in daylight, resulting in hazy shots; and the only way to get a blue sky or anything close to enough sharpness to even zoom in just a little is to over-darken the shot by notching down the exposure and contrast controls. Indoors, there's flaring of brighter areas, and oversensitivity to the purple spectrum, as well as near impossibility of getting sharp shots at any distance. The auto exposure control changes the exposure so jerkily it's devilish to control. The wide angle and aspects of the big pixels show a lot of promise (and I'll bet the iPhone 5s with its 8 "ultra pixels" will provide proof of concept), but the way it is, the camera sucks. HTC says they're aware of this and working on an update. Uh huh. How long has this phone been out now internationally?
2. The speakers. A major selling point of the phone, and rightly so, as they really do sound great - especially with Beats on, or you can get more volume with it off, if volume is a priority. But the speakers are out of balance, with the bottom (right) one louder than the left, and there's some phase weirdness. For those of us who notice these things - this phone's natural constituency - it's really annoying. HTC says they "haven't heard much about this", but are looking into it. Meanwhile, I went into a corporate Verizon store and every employee in there with any experience of the phone said, "Oh yeah, everybody knows about that," and proceeded to give me the most imbecilic, trumped up explanations you could ever imagine. The kicker was, "They have to make the top speaker softer because they use it as an earpiece for the phone function."
3. BLUETOOTH. Unfreakingbelievable. If it hasn't been connected since the phone was last turned off, it will connect to your car radio automatically, as long as Bluetooth on the phone is turned on BEFORE the car. (EDIT - Turns out this isn't always the case, and may depend on the particular car radio.) But once the connection is broken, it will not re-connect automatically. When you try to connect manually, it may or may not connect properly, or may need repeated tries, or connect media but not phone function, or it may show it has done both but actually hasn't. But regardless, although the phone's music player will play, internet radio type apps will not play over Bluetooth - and the call quality will be greatly degraded. The only fix is to turn the phone completely off and on again - with Fast Boot OFF; a soft restart will NOT fix it - whereupon everything works fine. (EDIT - The foregoing fix also does not always work. With my car (2012 Subaru Impreza Ltd.), once the connection is successfully made, Bluetooth can be turned off and on again on the phone, and it will connect without a problem. It is when the car has been turned off that reconnection becomes a problem. My iPhone 4 worked flawlessly with this car.)
I really don't think my particular phone is faulty, in all these ways, especially since it doesn't have any of the other problems people have been reporting, and works perfectly otherwise. But please, somebody, convince me that it is, and I'll go get another one! Any case, there's loads of people having these problems.
(EDIT - further investigation with a couple of actually honest and knowledgable Verizon people has reinforced my conclusions, including the "loads of people having these problems" part, objected to by the commenter below. The camera is decidedly sub-par, the speakers are not in balance, and the Bluetooth, apparently typically of HTC, is badly done. These sources also reinforce those on this board who indicate that rooting can solve or improve these issues.)

Using the words loads isnt really accurate... The vocal majority are almost always having issues. Also realize that such a small percentage of the user base go to xda. Personally I don't see many of the issues you are having. If you look for cows youll see cows...

HTC One S-OFF = Best Phone Ever Made:
This is a quick review of the Elecom LBT-PHP500AV Bluetooth receiver (RF Amplifier, 200mW output). [hands-on pics below in attach and in the box folder]
First of all, wireless streaming is a must for me since I'm using the Sony Xperia Z which has the headphone jack covered with a cap (if the caps become damaged by repeated usage - waterproof phone no more) so I had 3 bluetooth receivers so far, and all of them were a huge dissapointment. I had to use an portable amplifier with the bluetooth receiver which only made things cluttered and complicated, rendering hands-free usage almost impossible. In my experience with wireless music the top issues are:
Battery limitation (5-6 hours) which isn't enough, not even for half the day;
Low output volume (even if I'm using headphones with high dB sensitivity);
Poor transmission range (which sometimes was a problem eg. gym);
Decent to low sound quality (high quality sound over Bluetooth usually requires spending some serious bucks).
So, after a long search I found, what seems to be the perfect fit between performance and price tag and that is the ELECOM LBT-PHP500AV. I already made a (crappy) review on YouTube and a follow-up, which can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7IaXYDUbOI
The Elecom Bluetooth receiver can be order as stand-alone receiver (about 40$) or with headphones at 50-60$ (which are pretty good - they're about 30$) on eBay(http://www.ebay.com/itm/Elecom-Blue...9&pid=100005&rk=2&rkt=6&sd=261859052253&rt=nc).
Product Specs can be found here: http://www.elecom.co.jp.e.gj.hp.transer.com/news/201404/lbt-par500av/index.html and Headphones specs here: http://www2.elecom.co.jp.e.gj.hp.transer.com/avd/headphone/ehp-c3560/
When I first saw it, I felt a cosmic attraction not because of how it looks, but because of what it does, which is: almost 4 times the battery life you're getting in a bluetooth headset, high quality audio codecs, transmission range and of course the retro look. Everything seems too good to be true, but now, it became my daily driver and for 50 dollars, it is too good.
Without taking this love story any further, I'm going to switch to pros and cons of the elecom bt receiver.
PROS:
Huge battery (they advertise 18 hours of playback) - I've been using it for 3 days without the need to charge it - something that never happened to me. Battery size is 365mAh in contrast to the usual 80-100mAh. This thing lasts more than the phone.
[UPDATE] After using it for 3 days I wanted to fully discharge it... easier said than done - It played for 8 hours continuously on max volume and it didn't even get into low battery mode, and since it was 3am I had to go sleep and just charge it. Long story short, battery should last for about 4 days of everyday usage.
It's fairly loud - I'm no longer using the external amplifier. Cranking the volume on this thing to the max is a bit too loud. Using it with the laptop grants me almost twice the volume i get on my android.
Very nice build, and finishing touches - volume rocker is made of metal which feels really nice. The body is plastic but it feels high quality and resistant to shocks.
Excellent clip functionality - it is plastic but looks and feels pretty solid. The clip has small hooks and on the body side there is rubber that will ensure a firm grip on the fabric (as seen in the video).
Impressive sound quality - no stuttering. Also NFC connect for convenience;
It also works while charging without interruption of any kind while it's plugged or unplugged from power;
Bundle Headphones are pretty pretty good (very unexpected) - Very deep bass with crisp notes ( FQ response of 5Hz - 24 kHz with 99dB sensitivity).
Transmit range - better than my previous receivers it goes 10 extra meters (total of ~20m) before it starts dropping frames.***
CONS:
Headphones wire is way too short.... It doesn't even reach the belt level - this is due to the idea of wearing the receiver around the neck - but it's a bit too big to be clipped near the neck. I guess the cable length won't be an issue (i'm used to really long headphone cables).
No HD-Call support - for me it's not really an issue since i can safely use it as a hands-free (the microphone might pick up too much background noise while in a loud or crowded area).
No battery meter (at least not on android) - which is kinda important - you might not have to charge it 2-3 days but you'll want to know exactly how much battery you have left before leaving the house.
*** The theoretical transmit range of 100m depends on a lot of factors. It does perform better than normal bluetooth headsets but in everyday usage (in enclosed spaces) you probably won't get more than 20 meters of range. Again, it depends on the device you're transmitting from (i use my android phone) and power it reserves for bluetooth operations and the obstructions between transmitter and receiver. It's not really a down point. It's more of a notice.
I've got it from ebay at "trickstar_inc_nippon". I had a great experience with the seller - item was shipped the next day and it got from Japan to Europe in only 3 days. For someone like me who is choosy when it comes to music players, this is a great and powerful headset, on an affordable price. This is an impressive device for it's price and I can safely say it's going to be my daily driver without having to carry the external amplifier or the battery with me.
I hope the review was helpful (if it was hit Thanks!). Here is a box.com folder with more hands-on pics https://app.box.com/s/oo8ani1ipp97lvnwxr0va17lykx47vre For any questions you can PM me.
Cheers!
@Sebi673 great review on the device. I got one a couple of months ago. Its the same model but did not come with the headphones.
I got this for the battery life.
The big cons for me are
1- I can use my own headphones
2-Battery lasts super super long... I charge it once every couple of weeks.
3- Love the turn off and on button.
The only downsides
- size is little too big than other similar ones.
- Volume control button is little tricky.
How does it last? i read many has problem with dead battery/unit? is it that bad?
Has anyone ever try to replace the battery?

I am still using it daily. And it's over an year old. Battery still holds as it did in the first day. I charge it once every 3-4 days.

Anyone know of good alternatives? I've only been able to find these for ~$120 on ebay and other sites now for the same model. Elecom has some cheaper ones which seem significantly less powered (40 mW vs 200 mw)
Apparently it's on amazon which reflects the price history:

So all I see here is bad stuff being said about the Razer phone. I for one seem to be luck enough to have a good unit.
Can we get some love here and say what our favorite thing about the Razer is, or just post a comment saying that you've had no issues and are generally happy.
I love the audio output on the USB C adapter, absolutely unreal!
Next.......:good:
Cheers!
I am enjoying mine. I can make it through 2 days on a charge watch videos and movies that sound good on the speakers. I'm not a big picture taker but when I do I am OK with what I get, have a dslr for good pics.
Oh I forgot, flat screen so glass screen protector covers the whole thing.
Using Sony phones since 2005. Truly impressed with this device
Love the raw power for gaming and emulators as well as the speakers for watching movies with the fam

This... All the way!
I play l2r at highest settings and it's gorgeous, audio sounds amazing through the speakers or headphones and Dolby atmos helps alot.
Can't BELIEVE how fast this thing charges and it lasts for ever.. I literally get over a day's use with an average of 7+ hrs SOT! I've never had a phone that lasted like this thing does.. Any other phone was ~5hrs max with customized kernel/roms.. This thing is crushing that stock!
I also LOVE the squared designs as I hate all these rounded edges now a days.
I truly believe this is a reincarnation of the nexus line! If they would just get the last few software issues resolved and we get a few more developers on board.
Fastest phone on the market!

I am having problems with L2R for the last 3 months. It will just force close no error after 20 mins plus. If I enhance/level up equipment etc then it will force close earlier. I cannot maintain an hours of gaming before it just force closes. Can you advise what settings, firmware version you are using to get such stable gaming?
Am definitely on the list of those with positive vibes for this phone. Bought it only for 250£ fully boxed with recipt and warranty and it's been great. The bad is the screen in bright day light but all else is absolutely fabulous.
Fast charging and a battery that lasts a whole day (my first phone ever that can do that).
Great screen (too bad about the brightness though).
OS is superfast and free of bloatware. Love Nova Launcher for a couple of years now.
Great phone design (I like the blocky design).
The speakers, screen and battery capacity made me instantly purchase this phone, I'm happy with it.
Been my daily user since release date (pre-ordered).. Besides the screen not being bright and an occasional lockup/restart, best phone i've ever owned.
I would like to chime in here and say I'm a very picky sod when it comes to my smartphone choice, I started with HTC as they were willing to experiment and innovative, I loved my One M7 for its front facing stereo speakers and kept with the range till the M9 when (IMHO) the company lost their way, I swapped to a ZTE AXON 7 as that device was amazing for its power and audio, THIS PHONE KICKS ALL THOSE DEVICES TO THE KERB it's got a great battery, amazing screen, speed, raw power, great WiFi connectivity, frelling amazing Audio and sounds brilliant.
I've owned a general release unit since December and dam I love it, have been asked about it a few times every month and I haven't seen anyone else with one so I feel somewhat superior to others. Even my friend who's been a iPhone diehard is jumping ship to this when he upgrades in August even though it's a few months old
Very pleased, very very impressed with Razers first foray into the smartphone market
Honestly the only issues i had with my razer phone(s) was that the first two that i RMAed had speaker issues along with this one i think. But other than that i had no other issues except some freezing issues which i think were currupted app datas.
I just wish the xda dev side was full of more mods and discoveries about this device.
