nexus 4 using snapdragon 600 CPU
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app

Noticed it on my phone too. Maybe because the two CPU share the same product code.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app

Maybe because you've overclocked.
After all snapdragon 600 is just an oc'd s4 pro with minor modifications.

I haven't over clocked mine at all. I actually under clocked to 1.1ghz, and I still get the same results, probably a issue with cpu-z

No I use 1.3ghz, so OC is irrelevant.

For me it gives correct info
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium

Perhaps this indicates a safe over clocking threshold!?

Well I guess some of us got the wrong chip? LOL..

That's probably why. I have franco kernel and it shows Snapdragon 600 as well.

Ha, Snapdragon 600 here to. Running Franco r155. Wouldn't that be crazy though.

Heres mines running faux beta 6
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

we need more users to post their screenshots in order to find it out if we oc our phone then we get snapdragon 600 performance
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app

Faux kernel beta 6. I've put max clock back to 1.5ghz but it keeps returning me 1.8ghz.

1.5 GHz or 1.2ghz

I saw some place online that said our phones have a 1.5 GHz processor in it buts it under clocked to 1.2 to save on battery and so it does not over heat. Does anyone else know if this is true.

Omap 4460 is what we've got.
So yes, the manufacturer intended it to be clocked at 1.5ghz.
Whether it can run in a stable manner at 1.5ghz is up to your individual phone (silicon).
Using a custom kernel it reboots on mine after a while

Texas Instruments recommends the highest clock speed to be 1.5ghz... that's probably what you read.

Galaxy Note 2 Performance?

In games better than Xperia Z/ZL or Nexus 4 or inferior peformance? I have a doubt for whom bought this mobiles too...
According to some benchmarks i found in google they are pretty much the same. Just google "android benchmark".
Between the Nexus 4 and the Galaxy Note 2 I could say that the Nexus 4 is slightly better than the Note 2
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk HD
For gaming, Nexus 4 might have a small edge, but with an over all phone AND gaming, Note 2.
Unbiased.

How so? Isn't the Nexus 4 Cortex A15-based while the Note 2 is Cortex A9 only?

Not necessarily, depending from the benchmarks they haven't updated yet to recognize the new nexus 7 so it will still look like of it got the tegra 3 chipset.
If your Nexus 7 have a flat back then you have the 2013 model. If it's dimpled, then you have the 2012 one.

No he didn't. A lot of benchmark apps still think this is the old model. It's kinda of amusing to see my scores then, it thinks I'm super powered.

You didn't hit anything at all, this topic is pretty much dead, considering the OP didn't show up, he could have got a old version, won't be the first customer that gets scammed by a inept tech guy.
Dude I have the 2013 version. I'm geek guy. I run another benchmark and read de snapdragon procesor.
3d mark still recognizes is just as nexus 7, not 2 versions, it probably is getting the specs from an online source rather than your tablet itself.
Run cpu-z and it should come up right
