Lg Nitro HD Can't Get Into CWM - LG Nitro HD

Hey everyone, this is my first post so I'm sorry if this has been brought up and I just haven't found it. I have my Nitro rooted and I can't seem to get into cwm to install a new rom. I tried installing through rom manager and doing it manually and...nothing. I get a secure boot error. I've tried just about everything and I just can't seem to get into recovery! What's the problem? Thanks! (I posted this in the wrong place at first so please excuse the double. Sorry.)

you have to unbrick, follow unbricking guide, you got locked by a secure bootloader, you have to flash an older version of gingerbread using lg tools then install CWM recovery.
it's the 2nd link on the forums
i'll give it to you just to be nice

have you tried rom manager from the market? It's the easiest way to download and install CM6 nightlies.
Yes that's wat I used and it tells me I need bootloader .76.200.i even downloaded the rom off of xda and went into recovery and tried to flash the rom.i get the same results.its weird bcuz i can flash any other rom.just not cyanogen.

sorry - can't help you then. Sounds like it's specific to CM6, and I haven't used it in a while. Try posting your issue in the Unofficial Cyanogen Mod 6 Nightly KNOWN BUGS/FAQ thread in Q&A, maybe someone there can help you.
Somehow you lost NAND unlock. Follow Toast's part 2 of root method for NAND unlock. Essentially you need to flash the eng-PC36IMG.ZIP to give you the engineering hboot (76.2000).

I followed toast's method but it tells me main version older. I'm lost here.i deleted the mtd-eng.Ingram and put it bak on the sdcard but it keeps saying the same thing.please help.I'm rooted with simpleroot.
Have looked at whitslack's "How to Start Over" thread? I ran into this problem when I rooted and I remember that it came down to having the wrong PC36IMG.ZIP to flash the hboot. SteelH wrote a method too which might have a link to a better file. You're close. You just need the right zip file.

I tried the new simpleroot and I still get main version older!!!! I tried a few times and got the same results.does anybody know how to make this work so i can get bootloader to .76.2000????????????

Flashing T-Mobile ROM (Justin's) to LS980 ZVA?

When I tried to install the Justin's T-Mobile ROM to LS980 with ZVA version through TWRP, I got a boot loop (TWRP recovery image was installed via Flasify). Restored the factory ROM and tried to flash again, but I got the same boot loop. Is it due to the fact that the phone is on ZVA?
I read in the forum that I can use FreeGee to flash TWRP for LS980 ZVA, but it seems it does not help as well.
Do I need to go back to earlier version (ZV8 or ZV9?) to flash the T-Mobile ROM or is there a way to flash the ROM without going back?
Thanks for help in advance!
here is what i did

Thanks for the reply. Do you know where I can find files to flash radio? I'll read the cm11 thread and see if I can find more info on that.
EDIT:Flashed ZV8 Radio after flashing the T-Mobile ROM it appears booting but I'm getting following error messages:
Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped
Unfortunately, VoIP call has stopped.
These messages keep popping up after pressing OK so I cannot get to the main screen.
What do I need to do now?
Well, I tried to flash the T-Mobile ROM again and it works fine now (without flashing the ZV8 again after flashing the ROM)!

once you flash a radio like you stated. flashed the ZV8 after the rom you dont ever need to do that unless you recover from a TOT. file or switch your radio at some point. once you flash it your good man
and just in-case you didn't know your posting questions in the development area i see you did it twice so i figured you might think your in Q&A
are you using a t-mobile or att based sim card?
Shouldn't this post be in General or Q&A???
Are you good?

Google Play Store - No Connection Issue
Hello everyone,
I have flashed Justin's T-Mobile ROM onto my LS980 (Sprint G2) successfully after flashing ZV8 radio.
However, Google Play Store started giving me an error message - 'No Connection'.
I tried to follow the fix in the following thread but when I opened the hosts file there was already " 127.0.0.1 localhost" at the first line. I deleted the hosts file entirely and restarted the phone but it did not work either.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2273994
Does anyone know what I need to do to get Play Store working again? When I factory reset it, it will start working but after few downloads, it stops working and displays the same 'No Connection' error message.
By the way, I have force closed 'automatic update' app disabled notification. Is it possibly why?
Any help will be appreciated!!

Im having issues. The link for the Justin rom is no longer available. i lost my recovery and can only go into download mode. i have no idea how to flash recovery through adb. Do need to install the T Mobile drivers? I have the sprint drivers already installed. The phone doesnt stay on long enough for me to use the simple tool either.

[Solved] Bootloop after booloader unlock

Hi everyone!
So after unlocking my bootloader following Sony's guide, I restarted the phone but it got stuck in the bootanimation. The good news is that I had flashed CWM, the bad news is that the phone still gets stuck on the boot animation even With the Official CyanogenMod 11...
I really don't know what I must do and I can't find something concrete about my problem.
The bootloader can be unlocked, I've tested (with the code) before attempting anything. I have also the 4.3 update and followed a guide. I did flash the boot.img via fastboot. That's it. And the Xperia M I'm owning is a C1905.
I hope you people can help me, thanks in advance !
This happened to me the other day. Just reflash the 4.3 with flashtool, it will fix the bootloop. After that you can do whatever you want. Here is a link to download the stuff you need:
http://xperiafirmware.com/8-firmware/40-sony-xperia-m-c1905
Cheers
First of all use questions and troubleshooting section... I have to report the thread to be moved.

Second of all you do not have any problem.
The point is that you unlocked the bootloader while you have a rooted modified rom, right?
So after unlocking it do a factory reset, and due to modified system partition you are stuck on boot screen.
The solution is very simple, use flash tool and flash android 4.3 tft.
Then start your phone and make sure it boot up at least one time on stock firmware before starting with cm11 flash procedures.
Good-luck.

Ohh thank you ! I've downloaded the *.tft and flashed it back, after a long flashing process, it worked. What's not cool is that it took too ling to boot and all that time I was very very stressed xD !

Not really, I tried to unlock the bootloader with the stock ROM so I could root it, install CWM and install other ROMs, flasing back the *.tft fixed that, thanks for the advice ! Finally, I'm really sorry for posting in the wrong thread, I was a little bit stressed and struggling for help ^^' ...

G Pad 8.3 Australian boot recovery problems

Hi,
I've decided to base this thread towards other Aussies/Kiwis and I want to ask if any of you have managed to successfully install TWRP or CWM on your V500 tablets?
Because I have literally tried every single thing I could find, after scouring the internet for many many hours, including having bricked completely one device, and I have not been successful in installing a custom recovery.
My colleague thinks it might be because the Australian version of the stock boot loader differs just enough that none of the methods work. (He's tried as well).
So, anyone successful? Because far out I cannot STAND the LG ROM!
Thanks
Take a look at the CWM manual installation instructions. If your aboot is unsupported, then you probably need to downgrade your firmware with lg tool 2014. I posted links to the files you need on post #36 in the CWM thread also.

Hmm, I had tried V50010B, V50020a and V50020d, but I don't think I tried V50010a. I'll give it a go and let you know how it goes.
You might not need to downgrade your firmware with lg tool if you can successfully complete all the manual installation steps on that thread.

Thanks so much dude, I got CWM on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You gave me the motivation to try again.
Thanks to everyone involved!
So, I rolled back to V50010_A and the followed the instructions, and got CWM. I still get the secure boot error for a couple seconds which almost had me smacking my head, but then it went into CWM and I jumped around the room
Good to hear. That secure boot error message is normal when you install a custom recovery.

Which version of CM are you running? It might be possible that you are running an outdated version of the recovery and hence cannot flash roms.

Some ROMs are flashable via recovery and some are not and are meant to be applied using Fastboot. But if you are rooted, try an app called Flashify. It can be found on Google Play. Today I flashed recovery on my Xiaomi Redmi 2 with it. It works same as fastboot but it's simpler as you don't have to flash via computer.
When I still used my good old Wildfire S, I also tried to flash Cyanogen 11 via Clockworkmod Recovery. And it failed. Then I swapped Clockworkmod for TWRP Recovery and TWRP flashed the zip without problem. Or perhaps you use just too old recovery. I recommend you to try TWRP Recovery, it has touch interface and it is more user friendly
