Is anyone testing lte In Houston TX?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
I have not noticed any speed changes in Houston. I live in Sugar land and the best I can get at times with the "Speed Test.Net" app is 10mb/s.
i was testing speedtest randomly on friday and saw 25mbs/2mbs d/l. somebody else who had the note 2 on tmo was seeing the same thing. not sure if it was a cached test or something cause running right after got 13mb down. this was in the tomball area.
Keep in mind as of now the hardware (our phones) do not have LTE turned on.

I'm right here by washington right now, there is a tmobile tower on top of my office.
just ran a speed test, 21777 kbps down and 2245 kbps up with a 39ms ping.
As someone previously mentioned, I don't think the LTE has been turned on our Note 2. Most likely will be a software update.

They have obviously been Working on it because my signal will randomly drop to EDGE and come back. TMobile rep told me today that LTE Should be up and running in about two weeks

I'm here in sugar land and I just got 10 up and 1.5 down. Reception in sugar land is not really good. But yea, we'll have to wait till the hardware is actually activated by some new firmware before we can even use lte.

IF it is active you will see at the top "4g LTE" not the regular "4G" that we get now.

anybody else wondering why we have yet to receive 4.1.2 or at least a new radio update to unlock LTE?
I understand the need for the LTE radio, but does 4.1.2 offer anything over 4.1.1?

So you think that because tmobile uses band 4 lte and that is also one of att's bands that you can take your tmobile device to att and vice versa? Lol.
I can see why you would have such a condescending attitude in your replies.

Not sure TMO would want ATT customers using their bandwidth for free.

I'm saying what I'm saying because there are people like me who have att service on a tmo note....

I read fine... Because you are in a boat does not mean TMO will let you use their bandwidth without paying them.

Mine was acting up too. I was using PAC 22.1. I recently swapped to Rootbox 4.1 (ATT) but using same TMO modem. It seems to lock on to 3G/DC now, which I was new to. Before I would only see 3G/H+, now I mostly see 3G/DC and hardly ever see H+. However when I drive around to areas where I usually pick up LTE, it seems to stick on to 3G/DC. I'd have to fiddle with the APN settings (I have the old epc.tmobile.com and fast.t-mobile.com APN) even though I'm already using the fast.t-mobile.com one. Locking onto LTE became horrible. Before, it would auto lock instantly when I'd pass through the area, and now it's got connectivity issues.
