Just download and install. If upgrading, it will not delete your existing voicemails. Works great for me, but still has the 9016 txt problem.
Enjoy!

AFAIK, the only official way to get rid of it is to "block" the number, done with a 3rd party app. Actually, I wonder if I can block 9016 on my list of blocked numbers on Sprint.com.....??? Might try later....
Blocking 9016 prevents the VVM from being able to download the message. All I did was add 9016 to my android group in contacts with a nice icon, then let it be. I can easily hit close when the message pops up.
For those that have installed this version, does it have a widget? Long press on a home screen and click widgets. If it has it built in this version, then it will be listed there. The previous version didn't have one.

There is a widget, but it is accessed by going to Apps/Widgets. Cannot comment on previous version, as I didn't use or look into a VVM widget.

... referring back to my original comment about not being able to successfully get VVM to work on non-TW ROMs ... all I ever get is a text message saying "blah blah blah - you have a message - blah blah blah - call 123456789 ( NOT real number , just example ) - blah blah blah" ... my received message NEVER goes thru to VVM on any non-TW ROM ... so whenever I'm using the new fancy ROMs ( Baked - Slim - CM - AOKP - Bean - Carbon - Domination - AoCP - etc ) I have to give up Sprint VVM and use an alternate ( but I really like Sprint VVM ) ... any suggestions ??? Did you at some point activate Google Voice with Sprint integration? Sounds like VVM may still be funneling through Voice.

I did at one point but deactivated it afterward - it's working perfect right now on TPR but as soon as I flash any other non-TW ROM I'm back to non-functioning VVM :banghead:

It sets the alarm on mine, but doesnt update the list of alarms set.
Alarm does sound though at time set.
Is there something wrong with S voice? I've been asking it simply questions like "find local restaurants" and it replies "I'm sorry, I don't have the answer" but I've tried Speaktoit which is finding my local restaurants.
Is this a problem everybody is facing or just me?
3I hope that s-voice works better on the S3 than it does on my S2. I found the app frustrating to use, it was like the app was made by the same team that made control's cone of silence in the tv show get smart.
How do you uninstall s-voice?
I've tried flashing the zip and while it says that the file was flashed successfully, when i double click home, it takes me back to stock vlingo app? Any advice please?
Seems that after you use Svoice, it changes the audio default routing mode, and all sounds are then played through the headset speaker, and not the speakerphone speaker. A quick reboot fixes the issue, until Svoice is started again. The first reply from her will play loudly fine, but then it switches to the earpiece. Any ideas?
Otherwise it works great on a T989 with CM9...

PS, tried this on my Nexus S (Crespo4g) and it installed fine, just had the dreaded "Server Error" message... Maybe the build.prop needs to be edited? Any ideas?
Working ok with some basic questions like time, dial, weather, open apps, set the alarm. But complex question it FC.

Great app, now i've got the s3 feeling on my s2
is S-voice incompatible with Jelly Bean? I'm on Resurrection Remix JB build and when I download the hacked versions of s-voice the regular installer will not even let me press install, so I use the installer workaround that came with juice defender. It starts to install the app then just stops and says "application not installed". Tried a bunch of times with different downloads and still the same result.
I have had a lot of trouble getting to start SVoice on SGS2, starting with the installation... I attempted several install approaches, from copying from SD card to substituting voice command on system/app (even a variation to data/app) and still hasn`t worked... One of the issues I noticed was no space at all at partition to copy file. Is it possible to create more partition space? And if possible, how to do it? Is there another method to install Svoice? Frankly I regret attempting to install it since I have no more voice support on my device (didn`t backup apk to this purpose).

Not to jump in on the MIUI questions, but I have one as well...
I rely a lot on Go SMS because of its individual notification settings for different contacts. In the previous version of this rom, though, the stock messaging app was overriding Go SMS's settings no matter if it was selected as the default messaging app. Anybody else have this problem and can offer a solution?

I haven't tried it with GO SMS, but to get TabletTalk to work I had to disable MMS Priority in the MIUI messaging settings. If you haven't tried that already, I suggest trying that.
I know it's not a definite fix, but I figured an idea is better than nothing

I tried this ROM out today as well and did not flash to 2.0 first.
I only made sure to factory rest/wipe cache/dalvik and then format system, data, cache and sdcard.
After that, I flashed from external sdcard the latest version of the ROM and had no issues (aside from the usual needing to reboot the phone once to restore data connectivity).
I hope this helps :fingers-crossed:
Might as well ask another general MIUI question....lol.
Most other ROM's handle Google Voice integration pretty well. For example, when I place a phone call, my call log shows the person's actual number, not the random number Google used to make the integration work.
With MIUI, though, my call log shows that random number instead. Anybody happen to know why that's to case, and if there's a way around it?
Thanks!

I've never done that before. I found a Youtube video that seems to outline the process. Does this seem correct?
Find apk in Root Explorer
Copy file
Try pasting it into /system/media
If not, choose "Mount R/W" button so it says "Mount R/O"
Paste again
Hold down on APK and choose permissions
Check:
Owner - Read write
Group - Read
Otheres - Read
Uncheck rest
Click OK
File should show "rw-r-r" under the name
Move this file to system/app
Click back once and click "Mount R/O" at top right
Reboot

The reason the visual voicemail does not work on Lifeless is because some of the Sprint bloat that is removed is needed by visual voicemail. If you install one of the stock V9 rooted (i recommend the one by b-reezy) your visual voicemail will work. As long as you are on Lifeless or Imperium you can use Google Voice as a work-around. At least this has been my findings after trying several other work-arounds with no luck. I too am on Lifeless V9 ... I love the ROM so I am willing to deal with the lack of visual voicemail. It has been my experience that it's interpretations of what the caller actually said were not too accurate anyways. Hope this helps.

Just download the Google Voice app from the Play Store and go through the set-up, it will make your voicemail notifications and stuff with voicemail work. Sprint has some type of agreement with Google voice and u can assign your mobile number as your google voice number, but this can cause some undesirable effects for some users (mainly caller ID issues with your outgoing texts and calls) I eventually uninstalled Voice and disabled my mobile number from being my voice number. It is easy to set up, u can also go to www.google.com/voice and set up some other options there from your PC.

Yea I had to uninstall it as well. I wasn't able to send or receive calls. Even after uninstalling it I still had to go onto a computer to take my number off the account. I tried setting it up later without using my number but i didn't see where it gave me an option of assigning me a number.

The Sprint voicemail apk works fine on the AOSP ROMs.
Finally this phone working again. Woot! Here is the latest VVM from Sprint.
https://db.tt/XCeMV4u9
If someone can host this, that would great.
How would one go about changing these setting within the stock messaging app? Is there a way to edit it like you do for the "device wipe after 10 attempts"? I know the ViperOne rom is running a modified version that allows mms messages up to 1200K. On the stock one the max limit is 300K. I'm running ViperOne but swapped out the modified message app for the stock one because it had the voicemail feature in it. I posted this in the Verizon forum but didn't get any hits. Hoping to have better luck here.

You're quite the helpful one. Posting in multiple threads with useless info.
Here's the stock google dialer and contacts app I pulled from my nexus 6 when i had it. It's not the motorola framework dialer and contacts, but pure google stock. They are in separate folders. I've also have a few that I've pulled from the web as well. I hate the ugly skin that lg uses, and miss the true material look from Google.
You HAVE to be rooted for these to even remotely work. Use root explorer or whatever app you use, mount rw and install as system apk (go to system>priv-app). Folder will need rwxr-xr-x permissions. Give app r-r-rw permissions. So far, contacts are working and I've gotten the google in-call ui to work by placing the apk in the lg in-call ui after renaming the original lg-ui. Can't get the dialer to install. LG skin is deeply rooted in thier framework, so it's kind of a pain. I'll keep digging into this to make some progress. In the mean time, if anyone else wants to chip in and help out, please do so.
In the link to my drive folder there will be 4 files. One of them is a flashable zip named GoogleContactsDialer (credits to whoever put this zip together. Wasn't me). Another should be the dialer in non flashable zip, and the other files are the respective standalone apks. I would suggest flashing the flashable zip, as it has the libs folder included.
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0Byd-3B8ICYfpY1hqODhhMzd4S3M&usp=sharing
**UPDATE**
Ok everyone, I have a quick second to give an update (getting up at 0430 is killing me right now lol) on things in reference to the dialer. Make sure you are using the flashable zip. The separate apks are ok, but the zip makes things easier.
Basically most hassle free method I have used to get it to be the primary dialer and contacts app is by using TB to freeze these 2 LG Dialer and Contact applications that are listed below.
*Call 4.60.79.10
*Contacts 4.56.18
I'm using KLWP and Nova for most of my homescreens. I'm linking the Google dialer apk to whatever phone KLWP icon using Nova Activities>Google Dialer>Phone(com.android.dialer.DialtactsActivity; make sure you select this one). For those that use Zooper, the same method would apply.
In reference to getting the dialer icon to show up in the app drawer on its own, I'm still working on that.

Sorry guys that I've been MIA. Work and personal life have been really busy. I didn't remove the LG apk but just froze them with TB. So far the LG Contacts app doesn't override which is good, and I've set Google Contacts as my default. I'm trying True Caller but honestly don't like it. The Google dialer kicks in but it's random, and it doesn't show in my Nova app drawer. I'll get back to working on this when things slow down for me.

I am, for now, stuck at the dialer. Not enough time to play with it and, as you mentioned, it is not showing up as an installed app in the launcher. What did you do to get a launcher icon for it? I am running the latest Nova beta for now.

Updated the post. Let me know if this helps you any. I'm still working on the dialer showing up in the app drawer or just being able to place the icon on the homescreen. Going to play around with different launchers on my next few days off starting Sunday.

Thanks. I only glanced for now - will have to reread and play more tomorrow or the weekend.

np. glad to help
I wonder if one you that's had success with this might be able to offer some assistance...I flashed the Google contacts and dialer zip and froze the two LG files recommended by the OP and all call functionality was disabled. I could launch the Google dialer but could not receive calls. Did I miss a step?

Like you said, it is working - mostly. I no longer see the dreaded LG dialer (yippee!) but a couple of minor anomalies remain.
On an incoming call I do not get a full scree caller id and swipe to answer as I did on the N4 device;
Like you, I had to use Nova to create the desktop icon (which is no big deal I suppose);
When I bring up the dialer I see a "Speed Dial" tab but I don't see all my favorites (starred contacts). I tried clearing cache and data for the dialer but is not showing me the same starred contacts as the Contacts app;
Other than the above it seems to work quite well.
[ EDIT ] It seems that there is a difference between the contacts storage that LG maintains and what Google Contacts/Dialer maintains. I cleared data and cache for both, the LG Dialer and the LG Contacts app - note that in my case they were both frozen so I had to use ROM Toolbox to do this - and had the system re-sync contacts with Google. All of the sudden ALL my favorites show up as expected and, incoming caller Id is now displaying as it did on the old Nexus 4. Yippee! Apparently some minor issues can be corrected by reinitializing the contacts database on the phone.

Did you start out with a clean, well working system or could it have remnants of previous attempts to install a dialer? Most of my troubles came from the fact that I missed to clean somethng up from a previous attempt.
Essentially, I did not do much different from the OP. Starting with a clean system (I backup frequently with TWRP when I experiment with new things!) I flashed the zip file, rebooted, created the desktop icon for phone, froze the 2 LG modules with TiBu. I also copied the Google Dialer apk to the LGInCallUI folder in priv-app and renamed (but not deleted) the LG version which did not seem to make any difference to usage (I was hoping for a full screen caller Id).
As noted above, it seems to be working quite nicely with the 3 1 caveats I listed.
