I just updated from CM10.1/SGT7 [20130419] to [20130611] and the menu button that is usually in the top right of pages that have additional settings has gone away.

Yes there is a clear all button in the upper right hand corner. They actually just added the feature in last night's nightly.

Yes
There's a fix for the menu bar in the upcoming 4.2.2 update. Unless you're willing to root for the custom ROMs that is already based on the leak 4.2.2, you will need to wait for HTC's next update.

I'm not sure if the viper ROM has the option, but in settings there should be an option to map the menu button to the home button. Once you do this the menu bar for all apps will disappear.

After updating my unlocked HTC 10 to Android 7, I noticed "menu button" option in display settings. There is a check mark, but I don't know what it does.
I'd guess it's giving you the option of having the new one on screen, or continue using the capacitive button. Just a guess tho
Can I ask what build No you have?

You mean the three line hamburger menu button? It's just an addition to get to most used setting options quickly. It's not only in display, it's on other settings menus as well
I don't really see any changes when I toggle "menu option" in the display settings.

I selected that and didn't see any difference until I opened JetAudioPlus. There was a menu icon on the right bottom corner of the app.I think some apps make it visible,to make the menu easy to reach.Bu when I click it it still opens the menu on the upper right corner.I think the option is there because someone may need it in some apps.I don't need it.So I disabled it.
Is there some way I can use the right "recent apps" button as a real menu button??
I already tried Button mapper app by Flar and it doesn't have that function.
Did they get rid of the option to long press the recent apps button for menu? If so, that's lame...

Yes they did. Somebody who has a twitter account should write to Mo Versi or Graham Wheeler so that they are aware of this issue!

Yes there is.. I've got a thread in the guides section. Find it and it'll show you the location of the file to edit. Can't remember off the top of my head.
Hi.
I noticed there is a slight lag when using the menu button (bottom left capacitive button), as opposed to the 'back' button which is immediate. Is there any way to tweak this? Maybe there's a built in lag for the menu button that can be disabled...

Do you mean the 'long press' option?
Because I don't have any such action set and yet I only have this laggy home button, in an otherwise supersmooth and fast system.
I have an S22 with Android 13. Posts on the web say that if I swipe down twice to get to Settings, there should be an "edit" button in the bottom left corner where the settings shortcuts can be set up. I have no "edit" button? What am I missing?
Thanks
It's in the upper right. After pulling down twice click the three dots (ellipse) and you will see edit buttons.

Many thanks for the pointer but I still don't see the settings shortcut view that allows the tiles or the other buttons that should appear at the bottom of the screen.
Thanks
Are you talking about rearranging the settings menu?
Not exactly. I have been looking at a number of Android 13 reviews that show one of the features as being a tile view for quick access to favourite settings. I get the normal settings view but can't find the tile view.
