if i hold on to the home button to clear all my running apps is there a clear all button? or do i have to swipe each one individually?
Yes there is a clear all button in the upper right hand corner. They actually just added the feature in last night's nightly.

Curious if there are any current roms that have decided that google was smoking something with there "no menu button but yet it's still there sorta" idea and put the full menu button back in the navigation bar and turned the recent apps into just a long press of the home button?
I'm not a fan of the little menu button in the corner, I use it way to much.
And if there are no roms out there with this, this is then me making a simple request for this as a possible option.
aokp or gummy have added "real" menu button. Not sure of any others.
good day.

It was added to aokp 3 or 4 builds ago.
good day.
BAMF opted for a cleaner look and made recent apps long press for menu.
I'm running Gummy and can confirm that option is there. Personally I haven't added the menu button, but I did add the search button back because it is really convenient to long press it to bring up voice commands.
I just updated from CM10.1/SGT7 [20130419] to [20130611] and the menu button that is usually in the top right of pages that have additional settings has gone away.

Thanks that worked. Odd that it got disabled when I updated the rom.
Hi folks,
I don't know if I'm just being thick and I can't find the answer on google, but is there a way to change what app is on the left side when in multiwindow mode? I can't seem to figure out how to do that if there is even a way.
Thanks!

It's not that difficult. When you see the cards of recent apps then long press on the card you want to choose. Then you can drag and drop it to the left or right

I meant while you're already in multiwindow mode, you can't seem to change the app that's on the left side. Alt tabbing and pressing the recent app button brings up the carousel on the right side but no way to swap the left side app

I've noticed that the first app will always stay on the selected side. So when you drag the app to the right side the carousel will always appear on the left side and the other way around.
It's still not very intuitive but nevertheless I'm finally happy to see multiwindow support on Android N

One caveat to that - I've noticed that if you open an app from a notification, it opens in whichever window is "active".

Oh damn right! Completely validates this Pixel C purchase I think haha. Wow I never thought of dragging apps to the right side instead. I think I always long press the recent apps button to start multwindow mode and it defaults to the left side.
To answer my question I've been dragging the middle bar all the way across to open up fullscreen (making the secondary app the primary app) and then going back into multiwindow mode and opening up another app as the secondary.
So I was holding my phone in my hand, not touching the power or home button, but I wiped my screen off with my hand and it somehow took a screenshot..??? I tried to replicate it but it won't happen, is there some alternate way to take screenshots in 6.0 that I don't know about..?
Thanks!

If you swipe the side of your palm from right to left it screenshots it that way. You have to do it at a certain speed though and by your palm i mean making it look like you're chopping something in half.. To see what I mean go into Settings and then look for Advanced features and you'll see "palm swipe to capture" tap it and it will show you how to do it.
Hold power and home

ahhhh, found it..!! Thanks bro, I had no idea about this..!
Hi gang,
With the release of stock Android 11 for our Pixel 2 XL, I don't find a way to do a generic screenshot anymore.
With previous releases, I could long-press the power button and taking a screenshot was one of the options. Not anymore...
The brand new bottom-up drag gesture does bring a screenshot option, but it is for one the open tasks and not the current home screen.
Am I missing something ?
Press and hold Power + Volume Down.

That was it!
The previous method was much simpler, though.
Thanks!

you could also add a screenshot tile. its way better easier and saves wear on the buttons. theres a few on the playstore. this one is great but it requires root.
You can also, "Hit square icon at the bottom, then tap on screenshots" . Make sure you choose which screen you want to screenshot.
