Network Problems - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I have my note 2 for 3 months now and it used to be perfect for me but now I have noticed one problem with network connection sometimes it doesn't detect network it says "Emergency Calls Only"(when WDMA/3G is on) and when I turn back to Auto or GSM/2G the network comes back to life so as the Internet Connection..happens very often sometimes in the early morning,evening and at night..my other phone(Htc one x) with the same carrier/network company has full network the whole day(even when note 2 isn't)..so basically its something wrong with the phone not the line..
Need your help...any solution please

[Q] 3g not connected...refurb phone

Hey guys quick question.Just got a refurb incredible and it doesnt detect 3g at all.Talked with the VZW suport for 45 minutes.Went through all the troubleshooting steps 3 times over,did master resets...everything.They're doing a line resolution to this phone to see if it resolves the problem.It is not bricked,I can send/receive messages and make/receive calls.Would rooting it maybe help?The support rep said I might have to have the original software reflashed onto it from verizon.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Are you in a heavily cemented building? I noticed today that my 3g died and wouldnt reconnect no matter how many times I resetted and battery pull, while I was in class because the coverage and signal just doesnt penetrate the building.

The only thing you can do is turn airplane mode on and off or check the 3G internet connection button in networks.
If that doesn't work the phone is broken, but you can try re-installing an RUU if you want but personally if it was a refurbished phone I wouldn't even bother and I would just get another one.
I tried the airplane mode trick and still nothing.the mobile network button says mobile network turning on but doesn't ever connect.what is an ruu

edit: found ruu by searching,should've done that to begin with.I'm just gonna take it to verizon and if they cant do anything I'll just call htc.

Can't find operator

So I am using non rooted, vanilla htc one v. Installed the updates regularly. I didn't messed with my device bcs. it's my work phone.
Yesterday, I had a plane trip back to my country. While I was in plane, afaik the phone was connected to the operator (local operator of other country). I enabled airplane mode and put it in my pocket, didn't turned it off. I did same thing to my wildfire s also.
So I came back to home from airport, put back my original sim card and now it says it can't connect to network. I choose automatically network search and it says error happened, I tried manual search and it only found one operator (vodafone) not the other 2 operators in my country.
I tried resetting the device with factory data reset. Now it can't find any operators at all, and just says error occured when I try to search networks automatically.
I have no clue about how it happened, it's brand new phone not even a month old. I am wondering what should I say to my company and I also wonder what may be the cause.
Anyone have an idea? or maybe solution to try?
edit: It have some problems with wifi also I guess, it disconnects from wifi frequently and shows signal level too low even though my wildfire s shows full bar for wifi.
Take your phone to service center. That's all I can say. There are network issues with One Series bt I think its been solved.

N7100 keeps dropping network - tried multiple carriers. Faulty?

I've had my N7100 for 2 months now and ever since I received it the network will be showing full bars one minute, then completely disconnect the next (the little circle with a stroke through it symbol). It will remain disconnected until I restart the phone, at which point it will reconnect again.
This is an intermittent problem, which occurs on average about 10 time a day. Sometimes it will keep disconnect after only 5 or 10 minutes.
I have tried different sim cards, from different service providers - all have the same problem. When I put the same sim card in a different phone - no problem. So I've definitely isolated the problem to the N7100.
I've tried factory resetting the phone but this hasn't helped.
Is there anything else I should try or does this sound like a fault for which Samsung should send me a replacement device?
Which model are u using? I had the same problem when I just bought the phone.
I realized my phone which is the Lte model was searching for 4g network at times when the reception is poor and toggled to search for 4g network which caused the phone to cut the network because my phone plan only supports 3g.
Maybe try going to mobile network and select WDCMA mode only. See if helps. Otherwise its problem hardware problem

Mine is the N7100 - 3G only (not LTE) model.
Tried that, and it hasn't helped.
Has anyone else been having this kind of problem?

[Q] ace 2 network problems

Hello
I've just bought a new galaxy ace 2 and I am experiencing some problems.
When I'm using only gsm network type (i think, now I'm testing HDSPA), typically, when I'm logged on icq, mobile sometimes loosses signal and displays there is no service. After few seconds is everything OK and network is back at full singal. This can be seen also in battery usage view, when I'm having always yellow line with thin red places.
I'm now using it with mixed mode on HDSPA and there are no problems with network.
The phone is under warranty, so there is no problem, but I dont have much time and first I would try other solution. I tried to flash it with odin to same fw, but no change. I tried to google it but I didnt find any solution. Could you give me advice?

I also have problems with mobile data. I have done everything :factory reset, flashed roms, and finally fid solution yesterday but i have problem again . My mobile data doesnt work no any type of network and do icon

Well the "train" issue is due to the train being like a faraday cage, blocking the various microwave signals, the reason you get a signal on a train is because they have amplifiers to retransmit the signal into the train and vice versa.

I have problem with mobile data. Apn: ERONET START (gprs.eronet.ba) i can acess with other phone on my sim card. Problem is in my phone but i dont know how to solve it. I can send messages and call but no any sign of data

Network connection drops and squeeze for assistant stops working

Just checking to see if I am the only one having these issues.
I have the 3 XL on ATT, and I randomly have no internet access over mobile data, even though the notification shows LTE and decent signal strength. Screenshots attached to show what I'm talking about. This has happened about 4 or 5 times since I received the phone a few weeks ago. I went to ATT and got a brand new sim, thinking that my old sim may have been going bad, but that did nothing. Only way to get the mobile network connection working again is to reboot the phone.
I have also noticed a few times that the squeeze for google assistant feature will stop working, and I have to reboot the phone to get it working again. Anyone suggestions? I am leaning towards just doing a factory reset this weekend, but I would like to avoid that if possible.

dont know about the edge squeeze assisit not working (i use edge sense module and app) but i have to reboot or go into airplane mode to get data to work when i get the x. maybe using a different apn would help... im on att too
AT&T issues
This is now a problem for me. I have to put my phone in airplane and then back to lte at least once a day in order to get mobile data working again. I'm not really sure if it's a network issue or a phone issue.
Issue for me here too, but I'm in Australia on Telstra network.
