I just got a new laptop and I was dissapointed in the Wi-Fi speed. I checked the settings of my router and I discovered it's because it was in network mode B/G only. So I enabled the option B/G/N mixed and my laptop finally reached the speeds I had hoped for. But now my phone can't access internet. It connects to the Wi-Fi, but the icon in the top stays grey and it doesn't get internet access. How to fix this?

Hi there,
I was trying to establish a wifi connection to my home network and my HTC S620. I completed the set up and the phone is connected to my network, but when I go to the internet, the error message comes on "your internet connection is not configured properly, ..."
I searched the forums, but couldn't get a relevent thread. Any help is appreciated a lot.
Thanx.
this happenes to me 2. Anyone?...
Im running the 3volution 3.0 rom.
my wifi is not connecting
it found the wireless network but not connect...help me...i am new here
The problem with the devices of the First two posters is, they should tick mark Automatically detect Settings and Set Internet Explorer connections settings to "The Internet".
Also configure your wireless network connection as Connects to: The Internet
And RiPpeRru: Your wireless network as weak signals. For some reason when scanning for network, your device draws a bit more power in scanning to power up the signal reception of excalibur. While it cant connect because of not sufficient signals for normal operation of Wifi
Thank you dark_prince
I`ll keep in mind
I have a problem with my wifi, at work I connect to a Addon wireless router and most of the time it works ok.
But at the moment I'm having a problem where the phone finds the network, says remembered, secured with wpa/wpa2 psk, then it suddenly drops to not in range and my wifi status is 'disconnected'
It continously is doing this at the moment and just wont connect, the WPA key is correct for it as I have connected fine to the router before.

is the signal weak? i.e are you far from the wireless router?
Im sitting next to router and the signal is Excellent
Is there anything on the router that could be blocking my phone from connecting?
yes if someone has setup mac address filtering
Mac restrict mode = disabled
i have a router that every 3months or so i have to reboot!
i see it in the wifi available list but it won't connect
turn off and back on and hey presto.
not ideal i know but hey ho
could try a reboot on phone too
I have an odd issue. The phone will not complete a call consistently when in the same room as router. It sometimes will do so if I move to a different floor in the house. Internet works great. Screen sits and displays "dialing." SMS also sporadically works.
Facts:
Router - Netgear N750 with b, g, n
Router bridged to Fios router
No issues with other wireless items: Blackberry, laptops
Networks, 2.4 and 5g show and have proper security, both set to WEP
How did you get Wifi Calling on your Nexus? i thought only TMO had that? or are you saying when you are just connected to wifi, you cant make calls?
I thought the Nexus was capable of calling via wifi. I can do so with no issues at my office. I can alsomake calls in my home but for some reason not close to the router.
I have a very interesting problem. For awhile now I have had to use my laptop's wifi to as an ad-hoc network so that I can have wifi and it works great. However, when I went home to my Dad's house, who doesn't have wifi, I dug out an old wifi adapter to make an ad-hoc network there. The problem is I can only make it open or WEP secured and apparently my phone can't see those networks. I tried to connect to the networks using another laptop and that worked fine.
So is there some issue with connecting to WEP and Open networks? I would love a fix for this.

I'm almost sure the wifi network at work is running on B/G/N and my maguro connects just fine, no problem using whatever.
At home I don't have N yet; still, check gsmarena, you'll see that it's supported. (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_nexus_i9250-4219.php)
Check your router settings. Try to only enable N, not mixed.

Both N and mixed are not working. When I use DHCP it won't retrieve an IP-adress and when I enter a static IP-adress it will connect to the network , but it won't connect to internet.
