Hello,
I was using VJ 4.2.2 CM10.1 rom - while my daughter was playing Hill Climb Racing.
I would like to change back to An-Droid (looks like stock GB 2.3.3 becouse I would like to give my phone to her.
I tried Titanium Backup and My Backup Pro both when I recover data (Hill Climb Racing - the game was the same version) and the game crashes after.
Only one difference is: VJ 4.2.2 was on stock hboot while 2.3.3 is on oxygen + hboot.
Is there any way to get this game working.
Thanks in advance.
Maciek.
Titanium backup is known to have issues when restoring from JB to GB.
Try to manually install the game from the play store, then only run restoring its data.
That's what I did. But afer the game crashed. Tried both titanium and mybackup.

I started off with an unlocked/unbranded htc desire, on stock froyo. I then rooted using the unrevoked method, and did a nand backup. Then I installed the latest version of gingervillain. But when I tried restoring just the data part of the backup, when I rebooted it got stuck on the gv bootscreen. Is there anyway to restore just the data onto a different rom?
Thanks in advance.

Nope their is as far as I know no way to do that. Use Titanium backup and backup all apps + system and when you have a fresh gingervillain installed again just let it restore and you got all your apps with cached data back (like save-files in angry birds and stuff, user dictionary, ... )
I've been playing plants vs zombies and I want to flash a new rom. I've backed up plants vs zombies with titanium backup and moved the game to my sd card with apps2sd. Will this save my game data?. I don't want to have to start a new game. Some game saves (for other games) do backup successfully for me but I remember backing up Paradise Island and after flashing a new rom and restoring the game, I had to start a new game because it didn't save my saved game. Sorry if this is redundant, I wanted to be as clear as possible. Thanks.

Use Titanium Backup to backup the game and its associated data.
when you use titanium backup, you can back up the app AND the data. So when you flash the new rom, don't install that backup the game just install the game like regular and then just reload the backup "app data" from TB.

Hi, I used to play Naught on my Arcs S (GB) but since I install arconium ICS the game is launching but the screnne in not responding anymore...
Do you think it is an ICS issue?
If you've restored it with titanium back-up then may be an issue, re-install from market and restore the data with titanium.
I get this with a lot of games. Try a fresh install or clearing data.

i think i read it somewhere that some games arent compatible with ics and there will be problems with the touch screen or the game wont launch.

I did that the first time, then I have tried a fresh install and the issue is still there...
So I have to wait the Naught's dev for an update...
Thank all of you for replying

The pro version of titanium backup has that feature
Hi. I am using Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. It's one of the best phones out there. Recently I tried to update to the latest android kitkat version 14.4.A.0.157 and successfully got it but lost my root on the phone. Anyways I got into mess lost my working android update and had to reinstall all the way back all the previous builds. Now somehow I've got the latest update working with the ROOT ACCESS but now I have trouble restoring some of my apps from titanium backup pro. I VE NOTICED THAT titanium backup pro will stuck either starting from GOOGLE TRANSLATE APP OR GOOGLE EARTH APP at 0%. Now i know why titanium backup pro wasn't working on restoration because WHEN I TRY TO INSTALL TRANSLATE or GOOGLE EARTH from play ▶ store DURING INSTALLATION it will say that INCOMPATIBLE UPDATE ERROR. Now I want to have Google translate and google earth but I can't get it installed. What's the problem? I even tried googling this error but didn't find a single forum suggesting solutions prompting me to think that I might be the first ever person on the face of the world ? to have this INCOMPATIBLE UPDATE Error. Please help .

Never restore your titanium backups it causes a lot of problems in any case it's not recommended to restore anything from titanium after update all apps need to.be fresh installed to working 100% properly

I ve been using titanium backup pro for more than one year and never ran into any problems whatsoever. Infact I am using a fresh installation of latest build without using titanium backup pro restored applications and to this minute I can't download Google Translate and Google Earth. It would say INCOMPATIBLE UPDATE and the crazy thing is that I dont even have these 2 applications previous installation on my phone.

+1 for it causing issues! Sony, Google and the TB devs don't all work in unison so the possibility and likelihood of issues arising when either is updated is increased. I still use it, but selectively. If you get Playstore errors then start from scratch as it will be quicker than trying to mess about flashing this that and the other which is why you probably cant find any real solutions.
