Hi guys, i really need help. Can anyone point me to a reputable seller online, about note 2 accessories. Coz i want to replace my rear cover, not the detachable one that covers the battery, the sim and the sd card. The one that is screwed on the frame. The one that holds the antennas, wi.fi, 3g and gps..
coz from here (Philippines), the guys from samsung wont sell it unless it is with the entire display, the screen, the digitizer and everythng, and man, its very expensive, plus, they wouldnt allow me to replace it myself. Thats why i came here.
I want to replace mine, coz the part of it that is visible outside the fon, the one outlining the fon, that silver.coated plastic edges, has obtain really bad scratches, and i hate seeing it.
Please help me guys.

Over the years, my preferred method of addressing the wear/tear was not by using cases (which add bulk), but my simply getting a new phone housing when the old one gets too scratched up.
And it looks like OEM-like housing for HD mini are beginning to appear on the market, such as here.
Looks like HD mini housing is absolutely identical to Aria's. I'm going to stock up on one and give it a try.
Please let us know how this works out, I wonder if someone will sell just the back cover.

With most phones now having glass in the capacitive touch screens, I just don't see your extra housing providing much protection from a drop.
It's still a good idea though.

Indeed I'd be concerned about the screen in the case of a drop, but agreed its a good idea. Let us know how this works out, I'll have to keep it in mind if it does work on if/when my housing ever takes a beating
I bought 2 of these from ebay thinking the exact same thing. They were advertised for the HD mini as we all now know it is the arias winmo twin. When i received my housings I was very excited to try them on but ended up being very disappointed. The housing came with a few pieces of excess plastic from the manufacturing process which was no big deal. Next I noticed that there were no volume buttons, again not too big of a big deal as they can be carefully removed off the old case and hopefully attached to the new case. The absolute deal breaker was the fact that the Aria antenna IS the back cover, and this replacement did not include the antenna. I examined the original and I do not believe it is possible to remove the antenna and reattach it to a replacement. However this particular housing may be different, either way let us know what your results were.
check these out they look like oem with the htc

You're right -- none of the HD mini housings I see advertised on Ebay have the antenna contact leads on the inside

That's a case, what's being discussed here is the actual body of the phone
It's too bad about the mini's back cover not having the antenna contacts, hopefully true Aria accessories will start coming out and you can get your hands on a real housing for it
ya sorry about that , it was deceptive looking the first one i looked at had the logo and tri-screw holes. thought it was a replacement back cover
I just noticed this after I took my Atrix out if its case, but it's cracked where pressure is put on the corners when taking it off. ):
Anyone else having this problem? Any idea what to do to seal the crack? Or do I have to buy a new backdoor? I just got my Atrix like 3 months ago.

Mine is doing the same thing. I don't think many things can fix it, considering you keep flexing, bending and cracking the plastic every time you have to take off the cover for a battery pull. Just be cautious when you take the cover off, don't forcefully rip it off.
like already said, just be careful while taking it off. you can find a new one here:

Thanks guys. Another quick question, does the replacement cover come with the mesh part that goes over the speaker? Or would I have to take that out from my old cover and stick it on the new one?
Contact Motorola and use the online chat function. I had the same problem and they had one shipped and to my home in 3 days. No charge.
Worthy of a Thanks? Lol.

DUDE. Yes. Thank you. I shall do that right now. I didn't even think to do that.
The Motorola solution is by far cheaper. But just to let you know the CNN.cn. website one is basically a factory part. Even has the stickers on it. I got it and the housing for $22 FROM THERE

I dropped my phone and dented the frame right below the volume down button. I had a diztronic tpu case and it didn't help.
Anyway can I replace the frame only?
What's a good site to get replacement parts?
Based on some videos that I've seen that take apart the phone it looks like you have to take apart the digitizer and glass... Is this correct?
Honestly Id go to ebay and buy a for parts or repair GS3. You would beable to take out all the insides of that and put yours in. Although make sure your screens in perfect condition as well as the case because the screen is a pain to transfer and the case would be the main purpose of all that. Id be happy that all the components aren't sodered XD
Would any Galaxy s3 frame work it would I need one specific to the Sprint Galaxy S3?
Not to jump in... But adding on to this post does anyone know if I could buy the red at&t housing and use it on the sprint gs3?

Yes, I'd like to know too.
I'm trying to locate a wallet case for my Note that has a standard Samsung back case, not a full backside with a plastic cradle to hold the phone. Those cases makes it hard to get the stylus out. I have looked high I have looked low but I haven't looked right because I can't find anything like that.
Any and all tips are deeply appreciated.

ebay is great for these, just search N7000 flip case!
The ones I locate all have a simple cover, not pockets for bills and credit cards.

I also looked for something like this, but found nothing. It's either a choice of a replacement back panel with plain flip cover, or a credit card wallet with a cradle.
The only alternative might be to adapt one with a replacement back panel, perhaps by fixing some credit card sleeves to inside of the cover. The hinge might not allow enough extra play for this though.
you can actually ask your local shoe repairshop if he can make one from the one you have. I think he can. Its a question of adding leather on the front so it still fits, an opening for bills and a series of slots to hold cards.
Do note there are reports of cards pressing on screen that could damage/leave prints on screen and on screen protector.
my experience not in making but in use is that the original flap breaks after a while. Not sure, but whennit does, it looks like cupboard lmao

As I suspected then. Quite vexing. Seems like such a winning construction. Keep it thin enough for your pocket, yet add the function off s wallet. Outside cards and cash everything from my old wallet is now in my Note.

Indeed an excellent idea. Now if I could only go back 30 years when we still had a cobbler in town
Kidding aside I shall see if it is feasible, bring the original backside and explain as good as I can.

Just bought my Note 2. The battery came half full so it's charging right now.
The first thing I noticed was the impossibly thin back cover and wondered how many people have managed to break theirs...
It'd be fine if it were made of carbon fiber, but plastic this thin will eventually break, no matter how malleable it is. For crying out loud, I've seen sheets of paper that are thicker than this!
How many of you have broken it already?
It's not going to break under normal use. If you take it off and bend it 90 degrees maybe, but it's not just going to spontaneously shatter on you.
Most people use a case so it wont break from dropping.
Ive never felt like it was going to break when removing or replacing it either.
As long as your not trying to break it, it wont break from normal use.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
The thinner it is the less chance it will break, crack or split.under normal use. I have had mine for just over 3 months and have removed it maybe 10 times. It still loks like new. You should be more worrried about the front anyway. A new case cost buttons in comparrison with the screen or digitizer.
People said the same thing about the galaxy s 2 back cover when that came out. Check out this video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu5qy6gffbs&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Samsung's been using this stuff for years for a simple reason - it's light, and strong.
- Frank
Been using s2 before this and never heard of broken backcover. You would be surprise how malleable and strong it is.
Now a broken screen is another matter that you should be more concern about.

They must create it like that to make the device light
I changed the back cover. Cheap and cool.

My god that is super blingy
i dropped mine from like 15 cm from the ground went it came flying out my bag, it cracked, you can barely notice it
but once i know it's there it ****ing bothers
Well buy a replacement, they're cheap.
Every 2-3 days I replace my battery with a charged one and I have done this with my note N7000 as well as my current N7100. This had led me to zero issues, not even a piece of the battery casing on either phone have broke off. These were designed very well where they will hold up to more than your everyday usage.

Just a quick heads up for battery cover buyers:
The item listing doesn't say whether this cover contains the NFC antenna like the Samsung covers do. I know some of the aftermarket covers don't have it. Anyone wanting to retain NFC functionality should be sure and check this before ordering an aftermarket Note 2 battery cover.

Well mine got nfc on it. And even it doesnt got one its just $0.99

As it's a metal back cover I don't think the NFC will work.
Someone posted in the accessories section saying they had bought a metal back cover with NFC, however upon testing it the NFC didn't actually work.
For someone like me in the UK though that's hardly an issue, NFC isn't widely used here, the only use we have for it now is if we want to use NFC tags, and that's about it.
FWIW, I have an Epic 4G that uses the same thin plastic back. I've had that phone for 2 years and there are no cracks, damage to the phone or anything. Actually looks pretty darn new, save for where some of the clearcoat is coming off around the speakerhole. Of all the things to be concerned about on this phone, the back is the least of my worries.
