I have opened this thread for those of you who wish to get (or have already gotten) the Spigen SGP Glas.tr for the Htc One so that we can discuss its compatability with various Htc One phone case models.
I personally was wondering if anybody had experience with the Incipio DualPro case in conjunction with the Spigen Glas.tr.
If you have any knowledge about Glas.tr compatibility with Htc One phone cases (specifically the Incipio DualPro) please post them in this thread.
Thank you everyone!
I just ordered the glass.tr earlier today off amazon, suppose to ship within 1-3 days so we'll c.
I'm betting they're cut the same dimensions as the other Spigens. I have the Spigen Ultra Crystal, and it doesn't take up the whole screen. I would say it is 1x1 mm smaller than the screen, and it has rounded corners. It took me a while to center it so the gap is uniform all around. Definitely different than my wet apply skinomi that fit the screen perfectly. The lip of my Poetic atmosphere doesn't even touch it.
EDIT: Just measured. It is about 1mm smaller in length and width.
Hi All
My software is 1.29.401.12. Anyone know if this is compatible with the Glas slim?
Thanks

I just purchased the ultra crystal myself, was looking the the glas.t but heard there was an issue with it causing touch problems on the capacitive buttons does anyone know if this is still an issue or has it been fixed?
I thought it might be a htc software issue as the back button did take a couple of presses to register but as im running Trickdroid it seems to be all okay!
I actually have the Spigen Glas TR on my phone right now. I used the Spigen Air Thin case before and currently have the Poetic Atmsphere case on my phone. Both cases had no problems with the TR.
I have the GLAS.tr and it's amazing.
Here are some things that could help people decide. The glass is slightly smaller than the screen borders (not the screen itself but the entire surface including the black borders). What this means is cases that grip the phone (like the one I got from smokeydiscount on eBay which some people call the frosted clear case) work fine with the glass. When I get time I can get the measurements so you can decide. But I'd say a case with a decent grip on the phone would still work seeing as how I still have gaps on both sides.
Secondly, I'd sugest to install the glass with the case on so that you don't take too much space from the other side's grip.

I was able to get the glas.tr working on this no- name brand tpu case I got off cellphoneshop.net I'm looking into possibly getting a mophie case soon, not sure if it'll fit, but I've heard that it should.
Could some of you guys post pictures of your HTC One with case + Glas.tr?
I'm imagining the gap you guys mention between the case edge and glass edge, and to me, it seems like another ugly spot for dust/dirt to get lodged in >.<
Anyone running this screen protector with the new 4.2.2 update and having any touch sensitivity issues? I'm really considering this.

Q. Is there anything I need to be aware of using the GLAS.tR for my HTC One?
A. Yes, the GLAS.t slim and the GLAS.tR Slim will only function with Software version 1.29.709.12 or later.
I can confirm for sure that the GLAS.tr is compatible with the UAG, Otterbox Commuter, and Poetic Atmosphere cases. So anything similar to any of those should be fine.

I have a T-Mobile HTC One running 1.27.531.8 (the update that came out this week) and the GLAS.t Slim is working great. I'd like to know if my phone would work with the slightly thicker GLAS.tR Slim. The sharp edges on the GLAS.t Slim are really bothering me.

The .tR version has rounded corners, this is supposed to be better for when you pull down the notification drawer. Makes it so you're not always running your finger over a sharp edge,
Edit: The .tR is also thicker 0.4 mm vs 0.26mm on the .t

Was there ever an answer to this? I'm thinking about buying the tr as well. I'm on T-mo 1.27 as well, and I think it would be waste if it was unusable.

There's been high praise for the Spigen glass protectors so I ordered the GLAS.t SLIM. I think the cheaper of the two should provide enough protection as I generally take care of my phones pretty well. The lower profile of the GLAS.t seemed better for me although the rounded corners of the GLAS.tR would have been nice.
I've used cheaper anti-glare film screen protectors in the past, and they worked but didn't last long due to normal wear and tear, so I'm hoping this glass screen protector goes the distance. I hate applying new screen protectors =/
Edit: As for the recommendations, I would NOT advise Clarivue anti-glare. It works well initially but diminishes screen quality and the anti-glare coating wears out quickly in higher-use areas like where the keyboard is. Went through three in the past year.
If you're in Canada, they are now fulfilled by amazon.ca, that means free shipping! http://www.amazon.ca/SPIGEN-Protect...id=1383316041&sr=1-12&keywords=spigen+nexus+5
I'm really interested in getting the glass.t or glass.tr protectors. However, one thing that has always worried me about tempered glass protectors is the possible space between the screen and the protector.
Since glass protectors are not flexible, but the protector and actual screen must be perfectly flat or there will be bubbles due to points of non-contact between the two. Does anyone have experience applying one, and do they fit well together or are there problems?
EDIT: Also, would these protectors work with the Spigen cases or would the extra thickness cause a problem?
Anyone got theirs yet? I'm thinking of getting the GLAS.t Slim since I'd prefer the thinner one.
I'm wondering if the upper lip on the Spigen cases will actually cover the edges of the protector or if there will be a gap. Since I'm planning to use it in combination with a case, if the case covers the edges of the protector I can't see any advantage of the GLAS.tR Slim.
I've also read some other glass protectors have a grid of dots on them. I think this would really annoy me. Do the Spigen protectors have this?
Do they affect viewing angles at all?
Finally, is a cracked or shatter glass protector likely to scratch up the screen? They are of similar hardness...
Thanks.
I turst Spigen
I have not tried the tempered glass on Nexus 5, but I would trust Spigen products all time, they are getting very positive review on Amazon as well, so I would say go for it and I believe they have the money back guarantee, so why to worry

I have the Sir Lancelot Armor-Holy Grail for my N4. I have tried them all. First off stay away from Clarivue and Maru, both are just not good.
Haven't tried any others since SLA and ILoome(which have GREAT customer service!) on my N4, so I hope the Spigen can play well with the hybrid case!
The Spigen site recommends using a case along with their GLAS products, so I'm going to assume they fit cases (or at least Spigen cases) just fine.

I've heard this from some people as well. I personally will keep my phone without a case or a bumper at the most, so I can't speak from experience. If it's a wet application screen protector, it's probably much more likely that it will curl off since those tend to extend to the edges of the screen.
Here's what is on the Spigen site:
As this is a glass product, please note that the edges of the glass are the most vulnerable areas. We highly recommend that you use a case along with your GLAS.t SLIM to avoid chipping or cracking the edges of your GLAS.t SLIM

I believe the point of the tR is precisely to be used without a case (the tR product page doesn't have the paragraph about using it with a case to protect the edges). So if you're going to use a case, get the t, if not you should get the tR.
I used the glas TR with my work iphone, and they're fantastic. Very durable and they almost feel better than the naked screen. I have one on order for the N5, but not sure if ill put it on right away. You can't go wrong with one of these though, well worth the money if you are looking for long lasting screen protection.
From Spigen's website:
GLAS.T - Our first and original GLAS.t screen protector. Made of real tempered glass and premium silicone adhesive. It is about 0.4mm thick.
GLAS.tR - The "R" stands for rounded. This glass protector has beveled edges to to help prevent chipping on the edges of the glass. Recommended for users that are not using a case or a minimal case design. About 0.55mm thick.
GLAS.T Slim - We've made our popular GLAS.t even slimmer. Same concept and material as our GLAS.t, but it ranges from 0.23-0.26mm depending on the product.
GLAS.tR Slim - Also the rounded version of the GLAS.t Slim. The thickness is about 0.4mm

I'm having some trouble with the GLAS.tR. I just installed it, and the bottom left corner is not sticking, and there is a spot that's not sticking on the right side of the headset speaker. I'm trying to leave some weight on top of it and see if that will fix it.

same here! I have three rather large "bubbles" (though thankfully none are on the screen), one of which is in the bottom left corner. When I apply pressure, it reduces to a tiny bubble, but after about a minute, it will have expanded again. I tried putting a textbook on top overnight, but this morning when i lifted the book, it just grew back in a minute.
If it doesn't fix itself in another 24 hour, I'm going to call Spigen.
Just received the Ringke Fusion case which I ordered a few weeks ago from Amazon. I actually ordered it launch day for the Nexus 5, but they stipulated that it wouldn't be shipped until around November 6th.
Overall I'm very happy with the case, nice build quality, especially the matte black finish. The clear backing was nicely protected with a film on both sides, so no damage upon receipt. I used the Ringke Fusion for the Nexus 4 as well, but the Nexus 5 version seems more refined in design and matches the Nexus 5's aesthetics a bit more. The Spigen Ultra Hybrid case is obviously the closest comparison, but I prefer the less pronounced buttons on the sides as well as the slightly more rounded form.
The case also comes with a template card for you to place on images and make your own inserts for behind the back cover (which i can't see most people using, but its a nice thought).
Only real issue with the case comes from the fact that the back is clear, and any dust which gets between the plastic and the black back of the phone is very visible.

The case shouldn't interfere as long as the screen protector doesn't go to the extreme edge of the actual glass. I'm currently using a screen protector that is only about 0.5mm from the glass edge and there no case/screen protector contact or bubbling.

I actually ordered both, and use the Spigen version for the reason you don't. I like the better defined buttons on the Spigen Hybrid.
I ended up ordering 6 cases and the Spigen Hybrid is my favorite I use every day. Just be sure to peel the almost invisible shipping film from both sides of the clear case.

With my N4, my go to case is the Rinke Fusion and the first gen at that! Anyone who had the first gen release knows that the buttons were hard as nails and have virtually no feedback. I lived with it, and got used to it, but in the back of my mind, it's a flaw and I know it lol.
Now with the N5, I looked at the Fusion, but because of my personal experience with the first gen fusion case, I opted for the Spigen. It was personal preference actually. I prefer the button layout, even though the power button is pretty sensitive. I like the more "squared" look of the Spigen's back side compared to the Fusion as you pictured in the OP. Not knocking it at all. The fusion looks nice, but my grey Spigen is my current go to. However saying that, I am awaiting the white candygel Spigen case and I'll see how that works. And IMO resembles the fusion a bit lol.
I have this case and love it. I photocopied the barcode on my gym card and stuck it under the case so I don't have to take out my keys when I go to the gym. Works perfectly.

Hey MIME owners
it seems like wherever i read everyone only got the ghost and i was wondering why?
i thought the Feather was lighter, thinner and protects as well (which is why it costs more)
is that not the case? because i prefer a-bit thicker if it protects better (the ghost that is)
I would say this: If you'll be using a case, go with the feather. I just put the Diztronic case on my Nexus 5 with ghost and the corners immediately started to lift. If you aren't planning on using a case, go with the ghost. It has rounded edges which will help prevent chipping.
[edit]Although I haven't confirmed that the feather works with cases. I believe I read it in one of the Mime main threads.

Cruzerlite TPU cases can work with mime ghost without lifting the corners:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2512135&page=17
It's strange, because my SGP steinheil, which is plastic screen protector, has it's corner lifted when using those cases. Other SGP cases work fine though.
I think it's actually correlated to how precise you installed the screen protector. Mine is a bit more inclined to the left, thus my bottom left corner is lifted when using cruzerlite tpu case.

Oh ok. Then I think it depends on the tightness of the case. Since depending on which side I slip first into the case, the other side is where the corner starts to lift.

I have ordered MIME Ghost glass. I too had the same question before buying. I sent them an email. this is their reply:
Our Ghost Glass protectors are thicker (0.32mm) and offer slightly more drop protection, while our Feathers are half as thick and twice as light. Our glass is cut from the same source, so surface hardness is identical.

Got my Mime Feather to replace the defective, Glas.tr. Early impressions:
Feather is much thinner, easier to apply, seems more oleophobic and has no bubbles (when naked). Can't compare the smoothness bw the two but it seems the Feather is just slightly better, maybe its because of being more oleophoic.
When i put the Cruzerlite bugdroid case on, the Feather right corner does have a bubble. IMO, the Feather is much better and cheaper than the Glas.tr

i used feather and its a perfect fit with the official bumper case, if Diztronics is the same as the official one maybe that would work:fingers-crossed:
I would say this -- if you're at all (and I mean even the slightest bit) rough with your device, don't even consider the feather.
First off I was trying to push out some corner bubbles I had when installing the protector, I pushed with my thumbnail, not stupidly hard ... and cracked the edge. I thought it was a fluke, ended up doing the same dammed thing on another corner knowing I couldn't press hard. I sent an email to Mime, explained exactly what happened and they sent me a code for the Ghost glass. As I was waiting for the new glass to arrive I somehow chipped the glass again, this time about 1/2 inch from the top of the screen. I have no idea what caused that one.
For the record I've had 2 other devices with Mime Ghost, and an iPad Mini with a BodyGuardz Glass screen protector that have no issues. Personally I think the feather is just to thin for its own good.
See attached. That's one week with the feather glass. I have the Ghost on there now. I'll definitely buy from Mime again .. but I know better than to get the feather next time!

This a thousand times over.
The benefits are a bit hard to put in to words. It's more than just the touch feel. There's a solidity to a glass protector that you can't get with plastic. There's an "invisibility" that comes with glass - even with the clearest plastic protector, you still know it's there. The glass protectors also stick better in my experience. You can toss the phone in your pocket without worrying about an edge lifting up.
Again, it's really hard to explain how big a difference it is, but as Philly Jim said ... once you go glass you can never go back. The first time I bought one, I really questioned my sanity. Now, I don't even consider the other options and I factor the glass into my device cost.

My Nillkin did have some adhesive issues on the surrounding screen areas but its not tot ugly even though I do notice the small bubbles in those areas, I had to pay for a replacement too... but ill probably keep this one on it and hold onto the replacement as another one incase I break this one.
Can you take some pics??

Dont have another camera you just have to take it on my word that it fits...
I have the Diztronic with the Feather glass and it's no problem. The case does go over the temper glass. The glass sit very close to the edge of the screen. I may be the only one with the Feather. I don't understand the popularity with the Ghost since it's thicker.

Diztronic and Mime Compatibility
Hi,
I just want to confirm that the Diztronic case works with the Mime Feather screen protector without any bubbling issues. I had a Mime ghost originally, and there was bubbling in each corner. I can post pictures to imgur and give a link if anyone wants.
Caniv said:
i actually really want to get the MIME Feather, i saw in a thread her that the mime GHOST and the Diztronic don't go well together, but no word on the feather, so if anyone has that combo please say so
if no, but you still have anotehr combo of Temp glass + Diz please do share, i think many people here got the Diztronic and would be happy to know, esp before throwing 30+usd on a glass

Can anyone recommend a tempered glass or other quality screen protector for the outer cover display? Something that you've personally used and can vouch for.
Thanks in advance!
Same. Front protector scratched on me 1st day. Also peeled up when I was opening. Need to replace.

Yep. Mine was basically destroyed on day 1 with normal use.
Whitestone has a ez screen protector and also a liquid adhered protector. I have installed ez one without trouble since a few days before official release and it's still holding strong. You also get 2 for like $10 so you can't really beat it

Looks like it might have trouble fitting properly if used with a case. The black border looks problematic. Have you used it with a case and, if so, do you have any pics or comments on that? Thanks.
I'm trying to figure out the best front screen protector as well. I would prefer tempered glass but have only seen a couple and not in stock at the moment. Still have the stock one on it but it's starting to bubble and peel/Crack on the sides.
I'm using these white stone dome front tempered glass screen protector. I got two of them for $10. They work decent with a case. But make sure it is a minimalistic case like the Samsung carbon fiber.

I am currently using samsungs silicone case and there is no problems with it coming off. Have not tried with a heavy duty case but I honestly don't see it as a problem
I got my leather case (samsung one) today and love it. However as soon as i applied it the cover screen plastic protector came off in the edge so i just removed it.
since it seems pretty thick on the inside - is there any 9h glass available yet which fits with the case? Or can i go to a samsung store and they reapply the plastic one on the cover screen?
i dont mind paying
I'm using the Whitestone glass screen protector. NOT the EZ. I've used it on all my phones since it was first released, including I Note devices and the Z Fold 2.
I use this for Extra protection
Whitestone Dome Glass UV.

I'm waiting on these to get delivered to me today actually. The stock one on my front screen is starting bubble and peel up on the side. My case kinda covers it up but the stock one is also picking up quite a few scratches. Hopefully these will do the job. Isn't that easy to fine a good tempered glass screen protector for this device. Spigen looks to be coming out with one but not available yet.

I had Spigen EZ for front screen and it is crap. Peeled off next day and applied Whitestone Dome.

Hmm, not sure what that one is. I haven't seen a front screen protector from Spigen anywhere. The one I was referring to is the one below, which is the only one on their site and doesn't appear to be out yet since it says coming soon.

Yeah, exactly this one. My mistake I wrote EZ.
In UK is available from Amazon.
Anyone got a recommendation for a good case? Id normally use Spigen but some of their case prices are ambitious to say the least.

I'm using the Ringke Slim and I really like it. I ordered the Spigen S Pen case, but it won't ship for another week or so. Looks bigger than I'd like, but definitely need something I can switch to when I really need to carry the S Pen and don't want to have it loose in a pocket.
I also ordered the official Samsung Aramid case (which also won't arrive for another week or two). Based on the reports I've read and the pics I've seen, the Aramid appears to be the slimmest case available for the ZF3. I hate bulky cases, especially on a device that's as large as the ZF3, so I'm guessing I'll probably settle on the Aramid for 90% of my daily use.

Thanks buddy, how are you finding the ringke slim? I was keen on that until i read a few amazon reviews mentioning the case had scratched their devices? Have you had any such issue? Would be good to hear if you used the sticky pads and if they are easy/hard to remove.

Great case. No scratches. Not sure how anyone scratched their Fold with this case. You'd have to be pretty damn careless to do that. I used the adhesive strips.
