(Q) disabling calendar storage. - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

What will disabling this effect? I installed wake lock detector and under wake triggers calendar storage has triggered my phone 51 times. This maybe one of the culprits as to why my battery life is so poor.

I'll say probably not. Not enough to see at least. Try a task manager I use a ram/memory manager along with a task manager. To each their own though!

[Q] Why does it keep on lighting by itself? [SOLVED]

Lately the phone started to light itself on every ~2 minutes or sometimes it stops for a while and randomly does it again.
I usually place it next to my TV desk or on my computer one, is that the cause? If so, is it in any way harmful?

maybe some app is running in background......
maybe because of some background apps
Like the two people above me said check which apps are running in the background. I don't really know much, but maybe Better Battery Stats app will help. It's in the market. I use it to check which apps keep waking up my device and preventing it to deep sleep, thus draining battery.
Well I press the Home button a few times and even open the Task Manager to see if anything is running and there's nothing. :s
Task manager doesn't show apps running in the background.

Goto
Settings>> Applications>>Running Services
there you will find all the apps running in background
check which application(not stock core applications ) are running end any third party app and see if it helps
Install better battery status and check the partial wakelogs to know which app is conflicting

Thanks everyone. I think there was some left out stuff I forgot to end.

task killer app auto kill

As much as I appreciate the ICS task manager swipe thing, I cannot constantly do the long push on the button, and my battery drains quickly. I tried Advanced Task Killer, and it does not work. Are there any task killer apps out there which WILL work on the s3, that has auto kill?
If you are rooted use min free and change the bottom two. Also see if one of your apps id keeping the phone from sleeping. Use cpu spy for this.

[Q] Why so many wakeups from "android" and "maps"?

Upon looking into BBS, I'm noticing "android" and "maps" have a ridiculous amount of wakeups from deep sleep. The other day, "android" was up to ~500 wakeups, and maps just showed up today.
I'm on Jedi 3.3 at the moment.
They wake up because they are not sleepy.

Use autostarts to disable all unwanted apps including maps running in background. Thats what I use and it works good.
Just got autostarts, what are some things I should disable?

A great troubleshooting/solution tool would be using Tasker to do this:
Screen Off = wait 5 minutes then disable mobile data
Screen On = enable mobile data
I noticed that apps that have their update frequency of 1 hour or w/e won't wake the device if mobile data is disabled.
Downfall= you won't get updates on push notifications unless you're screen is on or you check manually, which is ok for me!

Battery always 'awake'!

Hey,
I have currently the Jellybam Rom with stock kernel and even before when I had the wicked Rom this would still happen. My battery usage drains fast and the battery always says it's awake even with the screen on. I feel like my battery is greatly suffering and I have no idea what's causing this.
I also have always had juice defender and watchdog to monitor my running apps but it didn't help. I uninstalled light flow music apps and juice defender etc. With no luck so I feel like it might be a setting or something I can change to fix this.
I have NFC and bluetooth off, sync off any hotspots etc off, just wifi (sometimes data) on and all other options such as brightness etc at the lowest.
Any help would be appreciated!

Some app or something is preventing your phone from sleeping. You should try betterbatterystats to see what it is. And seeing by your pics your phone is not going to sleep at all.

Ok thanks I installed Better Battery Stats.
Dont know anything about the app though.
Just wondering what stat I should use to monitor what is happening with my phone?
Should I use Process or CPU States? Kernel Wakelock?
And then how do I identify what the problem is?
Thanks
Any ideas?
Use partial wake lock to determine what's not allowing your phone to sleep.

Am I missing something with Greenify?

From what I read Greenify hibernates apps you're not using after you select a few. Supposedly when you go back to the hibernated app it takes a little longer to load, but it resumes your previous state hence the term "hibernate".
However, for me it always forgets the apps state, regardless of what app I use it with. Greenify, for me, basically does exactly what a taskkiller did for me. The app has to reboot after being hibernated. I also never had the issue of tasks restarting themselves after being killed.
I am rooted, is this normal behavior, and if so, what is the benefit of using greenify over an automatic task killer?
