I just used this ROM:

And I think I needed this one:

Now my phone won't even turn on at all. How do I fix this?
NOTE: When I plug it into my PC w/o a battery i get a QHSUSB_DLOAD driver that pops up but idk what to do with it.
There are plenty of threads if you had done some searching.

There's one of the many.
Another one bites the dust.
It is bricked.
Next time just stay in the SPRINT s3 forums please.

Yes you essentially tried turning your device into an International GSM SGS3. It won't work. It is hard bricked. You can search on here there are several places offering JTAG service and they can repair it something between 50 to 75 dollars. You have to send the phone to them.
Please read and if it doesn't say Sprint D2spr or SPH-L710 do not use it.

Why would it not work?
because you didnt just flash to the the partitions in a wrong way... you created different incompatible partitions that your phone cant use... when a jtag happens, they open up your phone and plug the whole board into their pc and manually repartition the memory... even the usb port cant do that youd have to have direct access to the memory units...

Yes, It was my nephew's s3. He was blindly flashed it, now He asked me to help him, and I am asking any one in here know how to get it power up and into download mode.
I think that flashing the wrong radio version could fry the whole thing dead permanently.
However, if you can get ADB to recognize the device you may be able to get it working. See if you can get adb to recognize the device at all, if you can there may be hope.

Does any screen come up? If it's hard bricked, just bring it to the store, and show them. They'll probably try a new battery, and if they can't boot it up, then they may replace it.
Worst case, they say they won't replace it cause you messed with it, and you're back where you started.

Cause the USB dongle will put you straight to download mode. From there you can flash the proper ROM.
Anyway, if you can't get in to download mode, can't boot up to anything, and especially if ADB can't find your phone, then you might have just gotten yourself a very expensive paperweight.

I did the same thing, quit wasting time, you need a Jtag service period, if you can't get into download mode, Odin and Adb IS NOT going to work. It will not see the device. Go into device manager, if you see this QHSUSB DLOAD, you are seriously bricked, only Jtag can help it. The usbjig will NOT work with this issue, I have tried.

Your hard bricked and no way to fix your phone unless you have warranty with sprint or pay the $35 fee for the replacement and you will get your phone usually the next day your other option is send it to jtag repair but paying sprint the $35 fee is cheaper goodluck
Yup, this is a hard brick
This is because the international versions misc partition just happens to line up with the boot partition on the sprint variant. So no way to undo the damage because the phone wont even start up

I don't get it either.
How do these people ever manage to:
1. Root their phones successfully.
(I could stop right here)
2. Grab an international ROM.
3. Install it, brick it.
4. Then find their way to the correct forum (and usually the wrong section) to ask for help. Here, where they should have been in the first place.
So many face palms. All the time.

Lol; though like previously stated, you've got a hard brick. Best thing to say is that you took an OTA and it installed fine, then it just didn't turn back on.
you didnt say if you get get into download mode if you can there is a forum on how to recover from international version but like eveyone else if you cant get into dl mode your screwed sorry
If you don't have insurance, it couldn't hurt to be extra nice yet extra "let down" at the sprint store. Worth a shot.

Hey everyone. Thanks in advance. I have searched the forums, the web. Ended up here. I rooted my phone, added carbon rom. With goo download I think it was called. "Goo" something. Now my phone is dead. Will not boot to download mode. Will not turn on at all. The only time I can get anything response from the phone is when I pull the battery plug it in and hold the three buttons. The light stays red, but that is all. No activity from the screen. I have read the phone is "hard bricked" and that I basically need to buy a new phone. I hope that is not the case. Any help is much appreciated. Sorry if this is a repeat post, but after hours of research and no specific answers I felt this what the only way.
Thanks again!
My two suggestions...
1. Hold up (or was it down?) volume, home and power all at the same time. Until you get a reaction. Then figure it out from there
2. Your phone is done for.. Find out where the closest att service center is and say your phone screwed up during an update of theirs. Or just say your phone stopped working and hope for the best
A main question is, does your computer recognize your phone at all?

Thank you for the response. I tired 1 a hundred times and no luck. 2 is my next step tomorrow. BUT the weird thing, is if i pull the battery and plug it in the red charge light shows red. Also, having a PC the computer does the beep as if you plugged in something via USB. This i just recently discovered. Although i really dont think it matters. I also tried making a jig, no luck either. Most likely fail on my end with that.
At this point in time I think the best bet will be the ATT store. Unless someone has another solution, that is the only way I see it being fixed. Gotta read the details when you mess around with this stuff. Now I am paying the price.

It physically doesn't work? Or your computer makes a sound and knows *something* is plugged in, but doesn't know what? If your USB port is physically damaged, it's an easy fix and like $20 for the part:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3rvuwJ0GpQ
If I plug in the USB connection, it starts charging, it knows its getting power. The phone does not show the normal dialogs when connected to a PC, and the PC does not do anything at all either.

Make sure the Samsung Drivers are installed on your computer as well.
Well like I said. It's a $20, 5 minute fix with no soldering. I literally just bought an otherwise mint T-mobile Note 2 from eBay with the same issue for 395 because the fix takes 5 minutes and is cheap.

? What is your reason for downgrade? Ya wanna unlock it? With the hidden menu? Well if your able to get into recovery, then you should try downgrading your modem if your trying to perform the unlock!! I've read and confirmed that downgrading the modem will give you all the menus you need to perform the UNLOCK!
And next I noticed you did not try your phone with another computer/laptop to see if that one sees your phone!! If not then move on to the replacement part! If you have insurance then do a warranty exchange. Easy as that. But I would try what Fred ^^^^^ said reinstall the Samsung usb drivers.

I want it to be unlocked for any carrier. Though the USB issue is a major issue, the other issue I have is WiFi does not work unless I do a setting change after each reboot. Which can be fixed with a downgrade.
The main thing is getting it unlocked.

Hi, so I hard-bricked my S3 and I already tried using a jig and writing a de-brick .img to my ext. sd card, and neither worked so far. My phone remains completely unresponsive after I followed instructions on this site. The only response that my phone gives is a red light when it's connected to my pc or wall charger WHEN the battery is taken out, then the light disappears after several seconds. Also, my pc does recognize that something is connected, but then I get a bad connection sound after a few seconds. So far it seems that I tried every troubleshooting method on this site and I don't know what else to do. The last resort option I'm considering is sending my phone to a third party to get it de-bricked.
