I was running Gin2JellyBean 2.3 or so and was trying to switch ROM to any JellyBean ROM so I tried Jelly Z. Upon flashing Lupus for JB v8, the only time the kernel logo appears is right after fastbooting it. Every time after that, it never appears again, never giving me a chance to press the VOL DOWN and enter CWM or TWRP. It goes straight to the stock Sony Ericsson logo. Any ideas?

Did you flash cm10 kernel before installing jelly z? If you didnt do it you have what they call now bootloop. Your going have to start fresh again by flashing stock firmware via flashtool.

I've just flashed the DooMKerneL to use with Arconium ICS v3 (I have the 0% battery issue and it worked just fine) but when the phone reboot, it stuck at bootloop, it does not show the XPERIA logo, it gets back to Sony Ericsson logo and the boot loop starts... can anyone here help me?

flash the stock ICS kernel first, then load up arconium. once you got it up and running, go to developer options and check force GPU rendering and turn off animations. then you can fastboot doom's ICS kernel. flash it. let the room boot up - check you have the kernel - then go back to recovery and flash the WIFI modules.
then you should be fine. i have both doomkernel ICS and arconium and i have not issues, good battery life, pretty fast and only a few graphic gitches
This ROM is laggy for me, not sure why is that.

Same Trying Xperia mod now.
Doom's ICS kernel is slow. Try Ics stock kernel
I had rooted and loaded CM9 on my Xperia Arc 2 months before.
Today I tried to install one of the unofficial CM10 available in the community.
But it didn't work( stuck at the loading/splash screen).
Then I tried to re-install the CM9 but failed.
Then I flashed with LT15i_4.1.B.0.431_kernel.ftf rolleyes:)
After that it is stuck at loading with SONY logo.
Previously it was "FreeXperia" logo and I was able to boot to CWM screen. But Now I am not able to do that either.
Please guide me through on what to do now. I just want to get any ROM installed and the phone running.
If you can't get it to work (stuck on Sony logo), then flash this in flash tool.
Password is MMAS.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I'll try this one..
Currently I am trying to restore with Sony Update Sftware
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Btw.. a tip for later

You tried to install back just the kernel, not the whole ROM. That caused the problem, certain ROMs and kernels do not work together.
You need to install full ROM, so either with a .ftf file or Sony Update Service.
Phone: Xperia Play R800X (CDMA) *Unlocked Bootloader*
I recently got a new Xperia Play, unlocked the bootloader ( Via alejandrissmo ) and rooted it. I'm having a lot of problems flashing ANY kind of ICS/JB rom to it.
The roms I performed these steps with was PACman
First thing I did was install CWM recovery 5.0.2.7 ( 2.3.3 ) with RecoveryX. I then flashed the LupusV5 kernal that every rom has told me to flash, but after I do this I cant get into recovery. All it does is display the Lupus logo and stays there (left on for 30 mins to verify)
After this fail I .tft the 2.3.3 stock rom and re-rooted and installed CWM Recovery 5.0.2.7 (4.0) thinking that since I'm flashing a 4.1 rom I would need a 4.0 recovery. This ended up exactly the same Boot logo.
After spending a lot of time doing and re-doing x3 these steps I gave up the install instructions provided and tried some different things. I tried to install the rom pre-kernal flash but the recovery aborts with status 7 which from what I remember from the last time I saw this it means I'm trying to flash an ext4 ROM from an ext3 version of CWR. but I get this message with both versions of CWM.
Please any help is super appreciated

Pacman is unofficial jb thats different. What im trying to say is you cant install any GSM gingerbread roms. Gingerbread is crucial for serious gaming.

OK.... To get into recovery... You have to continuously hit either the back button- lupus kernel/doom kernel, or the Vol down- cm kernel/xparts recovery.... As for black screen... Thats because it doesn't have any data to load... So when you boot phone after flashing kernel with working recovery... As soon as you see the logo start pressing the back or Vol down... That will get you into recovery to flash ROM.

Strange perhaps copy everything from your sdcard and re format your sdcard, then copy everything back over. You do not need to install CWM custom kernels will have CWM build into ramdisk. And ye for me kernel back button when leds turn on.

Yea some kernels take a long time to load as I had to wait exactly 42 minutes for the kernel to vibrate and flash the led green, pink then blue so just sit there and watch it... BTW I was using LuPuS kernel

Its strange cos I noticed all JB kernels take longer to boot and it looks like its frozen but then boots but never takes me longer then 20seconds to boot into the ROM. If it hangs for any longer I just reflash kernel and it fixes it. But ive only ever had to do this once

Yea but this was first flash unlocked and it was on stock 2.3.3 ROM but idk

I'm Using XPERIA S and installed AC!D soundmod(im using 4.1.2 hei1125 rom) and my phone doesn't boot up, is there anyway to go into recovery? it only shows jelly bean logo and then freezes. I'm really desperate, please help
I assumed you have CWM baked in your phone....Restart your phone, after the Sony logo cam out, tap on it many times until booted into CWM recovery
But there is no sony logo. Im using custom rom as i mentioned before. The only logo i see is that Jelly bean "bean"
Tapping on that doesn't do anything. i tried to boot into recovery in ADB also. cmd says device not found unfortunately :S
Re-locked bootloader and flashed on OFW. This story found happy ending. Thanks to y'all! Raunts
Hi All,
Sorry for the noob post, first time 'modding' my Acro S, but I have flashed lots of rom's on my old Xperia X10.
I unlocked my bootloader and installed a kernel containing CWM recovery today, and since doing that I have not been able to boot my phone past the Sony logo, it just reboots. I have tried to install a couple of ROM's but neither boot (Existenz Ultra & Emerald Smooth. Emerald Smooth fails with status 7 error, Existenz Ultra says it installs but still no boot. Also tried Honami rom but download always fails between 89% and 92%, tried 3 times). i also can't power off the phone, it just keeps rebooting. I have tried to repair my phone with PC Companion but it won't work due to the unlocked bootloader.
I would really like to install a stable custom rom as I found the stock rom had alot of lag, but at this stage I just want to get the phone working again! Can anyone guide me to which kernel files to install which include the latest cwm, how to install them and suggestions of which rom to use?
Thanks in advance guys!

Hi,
To turn off your device, press and hold the volume up+power button combination until you get 3 vibrations. At this point, your device will be powered off. You can now connect it to your pc in flash mode. Please use Flashtool by Androxyde to flash the stock rom as your bootloader is unlocked. Once the flash procedure is complete, normally turn on your device and it should boot up properly. After that, you will have to flash a custom kernel like this one - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2309117
Then you can flash any custom rom in cwm.
