Itll help a lot to know if you're using a custom rom, are rooted, have you ever flashed any firmware?
What is your current build/baseband? Have you updated any of the Sammy apps like Media Hub, AllShare Cast, etc?

I have stock room rooted and please see the screen shot attached with the message with more information

Go into status and at the bottom does it say modified?
If so it may be causing the problem. Is the rom deodexed? Any bloat removed?
Did it work previously?
Try updating the sammy apps on the play store if you haven't already.
I also see your baseband and build dont match, so in guessing you updated by flashing a stock rom here? If this is the case you didn't get the full update which could also be the culprit.
Try Odin flashing the root66 firmware and see if it it works then. Im betting it will.

[Q] All Share cast and macks 4.0 compatibility

Im currently running macksROM 4.0 progression L900VPALJC, 3.0.36-persius-alpha29 (kernal) on my sprint SPH-L900.
I just received my shinny new toy the Samsung All Share cast wireless hub. , My plans are to run my phone on my tv via said new toy. Problem is that they are not recognizing each other. Since this is my first rom I have ever flashed, need a little advice on how to proceed.
I am thinking that because of the rom that I have this is the problem they are not syncing. Any search for team veritas or macks rom I get from this site, the links are to threads that are gone.
1. Should I remove the rom and go back to factory data reset. (I really like this rom and want a solution to keep it)
2. Anyone have a link to macksrom 4.0 support?
3. Is there another rom proven to work fine with the All Share Cast?
I could be wrong, but I believe only stock rom supports it atm.

Dang it!
Would you have a link to a safe uninstall and restore tutorial?
Go into original development and use the root toolbox.

Allshare while rooted

Hello I have seen a thread on this somewhere but can not find it again. Im I want to root my Note2 but I dont want to lose Allshare because I use it everyday like 3-6 times a day. Is there a way to get it to work while rooted. If so can someone please share how to with me. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Guess I didn't know there were any problems. I'm rooted and it works.

Well that's good I read somewhere that Allshare or one of the features like that didn't work while rooted.

Allshare works rooted but you need to reset the rom counter to 0 with triangle away

Every time I reset it it says 1 is there a specific way I need to do it.

assuming you are rooted with a custom recovery (TWRP, CWM), it'll "never" work, the counter will always show modified (1).
but if you are Stock rooted , TA should reset it to 0, then Allshare Cast should work.
Check out ChainFires thread about his application, ask questions there.

Are you checking your count with download mode or triage away? In the TA thread the developer mentions that on some firmwares rebooting in TA will cause a count of one. He suggests resetting it with TA then using download mode to check your count.

I am rooted with TWRP and allshare works, with triangle away. A custom kernel won't allow you to use allshare even if you are able to get status to show normal and reset the count with TA.

Are you talking about allshare play? Cause I am running synergy r47 with the latest perseus kernel and I havent used TA. Never had an issue with allshare play at all, well, other than my network quality.

No, sorry for the confusion. I am referring to the allshare cast hub (MHL has the same limitation)

So if I was to get the Samsung dock for the Note 2 then I would have to be completely stock to mirror my device is what you're saying? Or do you mean steaming from my phone to another AllShare enabled device like a Samsung TV?

No, not at all. I am rooted and debloated with TWRP on the stock MA7 ROM. I think any TW ROM will work as long as you keep the stock kernel and sysscope service. TriangleAway will keep your status normal, if you enable the system modified workaround in the paid version.
You can have a bunch of root apps such as TiBackup, AFWall+, etc; custom recovery; and remove most of the bloat. A custom kernel deactivates screen sharing; so no OC/UV or init.d support.

So the Perseus kernel wouldnt work? It has to be a 100% stock kernel? Not even a modified stock kernel will work? Sorry if these questions are starting to get repetitive, I havent bought an adapter or dock yet and just trying to figure out how much of what I like and use I will have to sacrifice to use them.

That is correct. Perseus will not work, even the Team WHOMP stock kernel with init.d support added does not work. Strangely the Team WHOMP modified stock kernel will display as normal status, but allshare cast will immediately disconnect anyway.

Thanks for clearing that up. So what causes that not to work? Is there a workaround in sight?

A custom kernel and removing the sysscope service will prevent mhl/allshare cast from connecting even with the paid version of triangle away.

I get that, but what is different between a 100% stock and a modified kernel that causes it to break?

Sysscope performs a check on the kernel, not sure what it looks for exactly, but a kernel with only init.d support added causes it to break.

AOSP Google Apps issue...

So I've tried multiple AOSP roms and it seems with every one I try I have issues with either the play store crashing or Google+ crashing on me constantly. It's really annoying and I can't seem to figure out why it's happening. I've tried downloading multiple gapps packages, multiple times, and on multiple connections. I've checked md5s and everything comes up good. I need to figure this out cause I want my battery life back! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
The only thing can be is that you need to make sure if it's JB 4.1.2 or 4.2 depending on the type of rom other than that you should be fine.
Sent from the future via Tapatalk 4
So if using 4.2.2 roms then which gapps package should I be using?

4.2 gapps
Sent from the future via Tapatalk 4
I don't think that's it since I've tried using the ones provided by the developer, but I will check. Thanks. It wouldn't have anything to do with firmware would it?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
If you flash the rom and it boots and everything works then it's not the bootloader. The bootloader would not allow it to boot. If google is what's crashing it has to be your gapps.
Sent from the future via Tapatalk 4
Thanx a lot bro. I went a redownloaded everything and checked md5s on ROM, kernel, and gapps and everything is working flawlessly.

Visual voicemail not working

I'm stock rooted with a couple mods and I never really noticed until now but anytime I get a voicemail it just says new message delivery pending or something along those lines. I check it and all I have is an activation message but I can't click it or activate it? I've been rooted for a while now and I'm not even sure how long thisbhas been happening. Can anyone help? Please and thank you

Nothing... it prompts me to upgrade to premium and shows my the activation message which I can't interact with except make it go away
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Have you updated it? Try that first then go back into the app. Also have you frozen anything or deleted anything that would keep that app from working. You can always remove it redownload it and install it again see if that helps. You did say you are on stock rooted ROM with Sprint?
Sent from the future via Tapatalk 4
Yes I'm stock rooted on sprint and yes I've tried to update it and it says it's up to date and no I didn't delete or freeze anything... and isn't it a system app that can't be deleted? I know there's ways to delete system apps but I'm not sure how
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
But much easier create a nandroid backup of you whole system. And you can reflash Freezas stock rooted md4 rom. Set it up and test it, I'm sure it will work. Then you can restore what you have to avoid restoring anything you don't have to.

Apn fix...

I'm running Beanstalk ROM, latest build, I believe it's 4.4.4.050 with BMS kernel, and lost data connection after clean install of this Rom on T-Mobile SG3 (dtle). I've searched and performed everything I could find concerning restoring data connection, but none of them seems to work. Anyone else having this particular issue?

Try replacing your apns-conf.xml with this one. Don't know if it'll work on that rom, but I don't see why it wouldn't. Rename old one in case you need to revert.

Pretty sure I saw someone else with the same issue on the same rom. Can't remember if it was in tmobiles or att forums though. But it may be a rom issue so I'd watch the thread and maybe someone will find a solution.

I believe Beanstalk uses Cyanogenmod code, and their latest build had a broken radio.. No data, no phone signal..
I am using Carbon at the moment at their 9-07 build had a broken radio, no data no phone..
Try reverting to an older version, that should clear your problem
Yeah I reverted to an older version and got data connection back... Thanks... It was boggling the heck out of me... Lol
