New Dopod rom - WPA-PSK problem

I've installed new Dopod rom on my HTC P3600. Everything works fine but I cannot connect to my AP using WPA-PSK TKIP. There is connection established but no data transfer. I've tried to connect to the same network using my laptop and everything if ok. Unsecured network also works fine.
Any solution?

Did you make sure you typed in the same wpa code?
Sometimes it can drive us nuts,seems like that could be one of the issues.Check on the MAC filter,DHCP server,make a file with the wpa-psk code that is on the pc and store it in the SDcard after that copy and paste when you set up the wifi on the HTC.

I use the same WPA-PSK TKIP, and I have no problem at all...
Work fine for me...

I've a WPA-PSK Tkip and a WPA-PSK AES working.
Did you correctly setup date and time on your device?

Same problem here. 'WPA2 PSK Mixed Mode (TKIP+AES)' not working with the new ROM. It tries to connect then the AP becomes 'Available' again.

Sorry but I can't confirm your issue: one of mine AP is setup in mixed mode and I can connect with WPA2/AES without any problems.
If it is a device issue, check if any program has overwritten a system dll wih an old version...
But a behavior like this let me think about a wrong password or a system time problem...

my trinity is not connecting to the ap when i use dhcp. if i use a static ip address the connection works.

Thank You all for your replies. The data and time is set properly. The password is ok. I've changed router settings - cipher from TKIP to mix mode. It's helped.

Hi,
is WiFi Router only working with Windowz? I've tried to use it paired with my Ubuntu 9.10 but nothing to do, no way to logged in :S

[TUT] how to fix wifi connection problem + enabling wifi adhoc connection

I've heard a lot of us sometimes got a problem with wifi connection. In my past experience, using this mod will solve these problem. it also enable internet sharing connection thru adhoc connection.
1. download this file.

2. with root explorer open /system/bin. rename wpa_suplicant to wpa_suplicant.bak (for backup).
3. copy the downloaded file to /system/bin.
4. change the permission to 777 (rwxrwxrwx)
how to use adhoc connection (for windows user):
1. open network and sharing centre.
2. click setup new network. choose adhoc connection. press next
3. give name the new connection. choose no-authentificatin for the connection type.
4. clik OK. don't forget to enable internet connection share.

Download Root explorer and then locate the file
long press and when a popup comes out browse for permissions..
change to the specified permissions by kurotsugi

if you use root explorer, press and hold the file, permission, tick all option

what's wifi adhoc for sir? is this for file sharing via wifi?

if you have a laptop or a PC with wifi and already connected to internet, you can make an adhoc connection to share your internet connection with others. in normal situation we can't detect adhoc connection with our device. with this simple mod we can detect and connect to any unsecured adhoc connection.

We have a wifi here at office. I can connect to it but i can't browse. Our company uses a HTTP proxy. I know the username and password. Can you mod our sgy to use proxy with NTLM auhtentication?

where is the input for the password?

if you're trying to acces a secured connection you'll get prompted to fill the password.

Hi, i tried following this guide but still no luck, can you please help me with my wifi problem, I am having a "wifi error" when I start my wifi, I am on a chobits 2.0 ROM with Merruk Kernel...

I never use merruk kernel for my daily use. you can try to use another kernel. if the problem still exist it means it was kernel bug.

Press button Mount R/W at top and it will show Mounted as r/w..

I'm just curious if someone here has tried to connect to a WIFI with proxy with NTLM authentication. I tried the methods listed here http://android-proxy.blogspot.co.uk/ , but no luck.

if unrooted:
install NTLmaps in your PC.
edit the server.cfg file and make the following changes.
LISTEN_PORT:5865
PARENT_PROXY: your_proxy_server
PARENT_PROXY_PORT: proxy_port
ALLOW_EXTERNAL_CLIENTS:1
now run the ntlmaps in PC and connect your phone through connectify.
change wifi phone settings
proxy server: your comp wifi ipv4 address.
port:5865
*This method does not work for LADP authentication.

Proxydroid + connectify

Why stop it? Its a security feature that makes your device much harder to track down.

My university wifi needs mac address registration and i'll have to delete my old mac address and register new everytime the mac address changes
