As the title says every time i get
stupud WhatsApp/Line/any messaging app including SMS message my bottom 3 Buttons start blinking on and off
and it's disturbing, as i already have the Green LED on.
So how to turn it off?

What rom, what kernel ?

ARHD Jelly Bean 21.0 with XM #305 Kernel

On sense BLN is auto enabled. Maybe use slightly older xm kernel that has no BLN built in !

Older XM Kernel with less features??
I really can't disable it whatsoever can i?

Dont know, viper has a on/off switch built in. Don't know about other roms

Btw is there BLN on stock sense ?

Nope...

BLN is a kernel feature not a rom feature btw

Depending on your rom/kernel, there should be a "device" option under advanced system settings which can be accessed through settings
go in it and there should be a option to enable or disable

I have found the BLN and LED functions, using ROOT explorer
I've selected the LED On BLN Off option
...
But the annoying BLN's still On??

There is also a part that controls the intensity light level of the BLN. You must put that to 0

Autobrightness in no sense Rom...help

I have tried both opendesire and defrost Rom but the issue of automatic brightness is very very important for me!in sense Rom the settings is perfect but in op and df I can choose in settings a custom level but for me is very difficult to use and understand so my question is simple: there is a way to have a perfect automatic brightness for example in op Rom such as in sense based Rom?and if yes, how?
Thanks

I don't have the issue with OD, just use standard auto-brightness, but with DF I also can't get it working properly.

For me the standard autobrightness of od is too low compared the sense Rom.haven't you noticed that?

It is quite low, but I just use the custom brightness setting on Extended Controls widget to change brightness manually.

And so you have a brightness fixed to a certain level?

Not all the time, only when autobrightness goes too low for my liking.

[Q] Is there a stock G2 rom with Trackpad Wake/Led Notification/ and OC Kernel?

I'm on a permrooted g2 with Soff and using Bacon Bits for overclocking...
I really don't want sense or any other mods, but I'm desperate for a 100% reliable Trackpad wake and LED Notification (the speaker LED) and Overclocking.
Can I modify my existing Rom or flash something that's the stock rom but with these three tweaks?
I miss the LED notification, there might be an app for that though to fix it... I hated that it didn't flash or light up unless its on the charger but the trackpad does (well around it does)
I'd suggest using Cyanogens rom, both the trackpad wake, Speaker LED, and everything else. It's stock and also comes with a few tweaks and extra features you'd probably like.

Still in RC mode. I really don't want to use a less stable rom if it's only for those simple features. I guess I'll just keep waiting. Maybe they'll add it to Bacon Bits.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't baconbits 0.3 do that? Not to mention you get to keep your old rom
CM is stable from what I heard, as usual.

LED notifications just randomly started working on Bacon Bits...
And I flashed some Desire Trackpad wake rom that's working now...
So I'm actually all set now.. so long as those features continue to work... I had to reboot a few times but now it's all working.
Updated bacon bits that includes all features from bbv0.3 with kernel that works with evil's trackpad wake mod

As long as your using a Kernel that has BLN support, BLN notification will work. Just read the OP of the kernel and it will be in the description and sometimes in the title.

Well yup my kernel's suppose to b able to run it thats why im puzzled there :/
After you download the app, you have to open it up and check the "Activate BLN" box. There is also an "Update notifications settings" section that you should go into. Do all that and reboot your phone. It should work.
Hey thanks for the reply !!! just tryed it, but unfortunatelly still not working
edit : for the missed called that it is

what rom are u using? cause i have this same issue. i cant get it to work with the text messages which is what i want it to work for.
im using this rom: 2.3.6 Debloated with Hercules kernel 0.0.7r2

edit: i can get it working for missed calls and emails, just not working with text messages. if i remember right the rom has to have the BLN support patched into services.jar or something like that.
BLN doesnt work on stock roms even if they are rooted the tweaks for BLN aren't edited into them so you need to use a different rom if you want to use BLN i use juggernaut 4.1 and bullet kernal and have no issues with BLN

ROMs that support BLN notifications (don't know exactly which ones do support it but most do) when activating it in the app usually it works but other than that, i heard that BLN doesnt work well with the stock messaging app. You could try a 3rd Party messaging app from the market and see if it works for you
no problem i am just using the free BLN so no blinking for me but iv'e been very happy with the performance of juggernaut battery life and all so i'm glad ya like it as well
OK, so I went ahead and emailed the developer of the app. And this is what he replied.

Can anyone confirm if bln shortens the life of the led lights

Turn on screen without using On/Off button

Hello there,
I was wondering if there is a mod or an application to turn on the screen on my HTC One X
using the capacitive buttons(for example the homescreen button) instead of using the proximity sensor of
the on/off button.I am currently using smart screen on (seems to eat a lot of battery though from what i checked from battery status)but since i don't know any other application i was wondering if you could share some knowledge guys,
Thank you in advance,
Dinos

If you use a custom kernel you can use sweep2wake, which means swiping from back button to menu button.

Lockscreen Mod

Hey everyone,This is just a request for all the awesome developers we have on this community.A lot of people hate the sense lockscreen(like myself) and i was just wondering whether there was any way to get the aosp lockscreen back.I know you can get it back using rom cleaner but that version doesnot give you the ability to answer the call from the lockscreen.
Thankyou for the consideration
It is there in Venom Tweaks (Using ViperX ROM).

Doesn't that tweak stop phone calls from being shown on the top? Making you unlock to answer a call? It does on leedroid.

not in viper, here when if u select aosp lockscreen workaround then when u get a call it unlocks ur phone automatically
You can install WidgetLocker, no root needed.
Gives you all kind of locksceen options and you can even put apps and widgets on lockscreen.
Tweaking does take some time to know how.
You can find it in the playstore.
