I have tried both opendesire and defrost Rom but the issue of automatic brightness is very very important for me!in sense Rom the settings is perfect but in op and df I can choose in settings a custom level but for me is very difficult to use and understand so my question is simple: there is a way to have a perfect automatic brightness for example in op Rom such as in sense based Rom?and if yes, how?
Thanks

I don't have the issue with OD, just use standard auto-brightness, but with DF I also can't get it working properly.

For me the standard autobrightness of od is too low compared the sense Rom.haven't you noticed that?

It is quite low, but I just use the custom brightness setting on Extended Controls widget to change brightness manually.

And so you have a brightness fixed to a certain level?

Not all the time, only when autobrightness goes too low for my liking.

Greetings. I have weird lags and sound chokes in recorded videos with latest sense ROMs such insertcoin, leedroid or runnymede. Any suggestions?

Known issue with sense roms running 2.3 and higher. Set video resolution to 640x800 or lower and it should be better

Better, but still noticeable. Could you please provide me link to the specific discussion?
Sent from my HTC Runnymede using xda premium
There is no specific thread, but I've been looking into this for weeks and have seen it mentioned in a few places. You'll probably find that the camera flash and shutter are not quite in sync so photos are too dark in low light as well.
Right now there's no fix for these issues, so for a camera/videocamera that works as it should use a non-sense aosp Rom such as oxygen, or if you want to use sense you'll need to roll back to 2.2

Just realised I quoted the wrong resolution earlier, I meant 640x480.

I am fed up with ROM's that have that latency on notification bar , like when you pull it down and it goes in a second not instant ... IS THERE any that does it instant and has Sense?
runnymede 5.0 by sebastiaan15... or any sense 1.9 roms...
I agree, runnymede 5.0

That's quite a jump I say. Think Sense 3.0 and 2.1+3.0 hybrids should be smoother if 3.5 is the smoothest, no?

thats not necessary true as sense 3.5 needs less cpu power then 3.0...or so i've read... also, in my experience, all the sense 3.0/2.1+3.0 that i have tried have lags. In contrast, using r5.0, coolbravos9(sense 2.1) and other sense1.9(eg tobascos silky), i experienced no lags...but thats just me...
Lag issue
I am using RunnymedeMod007, no lag issue whatsoever, (radi bwe odlicno)
The problem with my desire is that the volume rocker is broken. Runnymede and runny rom have the feature that when you press plus or minus you can tap and hold the volume to change it directly onscreen.
So here's the question: does anybody know a sense 2.0 / 2.1 Rom (without kingdom lockscreen) wich has this feature?
Please help :l

No help?
Swyped from my GT-I9100 using xda
It's a Sense 3.5 feature which can't, or at least hasn't been ported to other roms.
But you could try to use volume control from the market. It can create a shortcut to the notification bar. So you could quickly change volume.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA
Oh, okay
Is it just a shortcut or a real volume bar? Have been searching for something like this for some time but only found shortcuts...
Thanks anyway for the help
Just tried volume control from rubberbigpepper and it's awesome. I don't know why I never saw that :O
Swyped from my GT-I9100 using xda
It's only a shortcut.
I know that some sense 2.1+3.0 have a volume bar in the quick settings tab of the notification bar. So maybe there is also a 2.0/2.1 rom with it, but I'm not sure.

Try SensEvolution. Very good, stable ROM, with volume in Quick Settings.
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
Used sensevolution for a day but AnDroid seems to be the better way for me.
What I noticed is that the proximity sensor bugs around in every sense2 rom I try -.-
When I call someone and get the phone off my head the screen won't turn on until the other person hangs up, and that's really annoying.. .

wma support?
Can you add .wma support in the music player?
Thanks for an awesome rom btw, i have been waiting for a sense 4.0 rom
Is there any link for the kernel by itself or is it only available as part of the installer package? And does it include the battery fix and calibration fix? Thx for the great progress, looking forward to a stable release.

Does Wi-Fi work now? Its something like this in the changelog, but wifi is not under "Not working" ?!
Will you be bringing 720p recording to this rom?
I'd vote for the Google apps on /system/app to be moved to /data/app as once they update they'll go there and just use space in /system. Also, I'd vote to remove the bulky Laputa and car padding but each to his own

Hey, v3 does install via recovery with fastsy hboot but gets stuch on one x animation screen, after lots of battery pulls didnt help, i know you tested it but im not sure how far ya went with install....
In my opinion its better now to wait for an official update from shaky himself. And stop downloading and installing the previous releases. I know that he knows what he is doing !

Suggestion on building the rom
I don't think it a good idea to support all kinds of HBoots at such an early stage of building the ROM--they only increase the trouble in testing for now.
My personal suggestion is to set down to FATSYS, or plus Stock at most.
When the ROM gets stable, more HBs could then be added for wider support...
Perhaps i'm just too urge to see your fantastic works...

Is their no more pinch-to-zoom effect on homescreens?
Sense 4.0 have remove the permanently rotation (so we can from middle screen only 2 turns left/right)
But have Sense 4.0 miss the home screen overview after "pinch-to-zoom" too?
Thanks for your rom, awesome work ! Works fine on my father's desire
Maybe the flac support will be Nice, I've many lossless files.

I personaly agree with you. I think it's better to get a working ROM from Shaky on one or maybe two HBs at the most, because it's a lot easier to change your HBoot than developing an entire ROM for each individual HB at the same time.

This is because we are using Sense 4 Lite, which is the version on the One V. Sense 4 Lite only has 5 homescreens, and does not have leap view. Sense 4.0 does have leap view and have up to 7 homescreens which you can remove and add. Also, HTC removed the rotation as its a gimmick to them in Sense 4

OK HTC remove that options to get a better performance, i find it is ok when its help to increase the performance.
Do Sense 4.0 and/or Sense 4.0Lite have HomeScreen Roatation (Landscape Mode)?

It's present in the code. But its disable by HTC. I believe the only way to access it is to plug it into a HDMI tv and use HTC MediaLink HD.

Does anyone knows how to activate or create the quick settings , ?
Does its using java , smali ?
Whats the file on the rom that should be modified ?
Thanks

You're using CM10 nightlies and you want Quick Settings? That can't happen. They are part of the Sense framework and won't work with AOSP. Almost all Sense ROMs here have it by default so you can just use one of them if you want it. CM10 has its own notification shade toggles.

It's kinda hard to understand you, but I gather that what you want to know is that the quick settings are part of SystemUI.apk. As far as I know.

Yeah, I was confused because to me "quick settings" means that toggle widget that appears on the homescreen by default in non-Sense ROMs.
