Hello there,
I was wondering if there is a mod or an application to turn on the screen on my HTC One X
using the capacitive buttons(for example the homescreen button) instead of using the proximity sensor of
the on/off button.I am currently using smart screen on (seems to eat a lot of battery though from what i checked from battery status)but since i don't know any other application i was wondering if you could share some knowledge guys,
Thank you in advance,
Dinos

If you use a custom kernel you can use sweep2wake, which means swiping from back button to menu button.

hi fellows ,
I was wondering if there is such rom or such possiblity to use Htc Desire flashlight via button such as trackpad button when screen is locked ???
that would be very handy like e71
Whats wrong with assigning it on one of the lockscreen app on Sense v3 or v3.5? Isn't that not handy enough?

I think the MIUI ROMs can do this?

Holding the home button on the desire hd while on lock screen works in cm7 and ICS. Maybe worth trying the desire version of cyanogen.

Yes it can be assigned in Cyanogenmod's option. But can you do it without unlocking the phone?
Only workaround is to assign the app to the lockscreen. And both Sense v3+ and Cyanogenmod can do this.

The problem with my desire is that the volume rocker is broken. Runnymede and runny rom have the feature that when you press plus or minus you can tap and hold the volume to change it directly onscreen.
So here's the question: does anybody know a sense 2.0 / 2.1 Rom (without kingdom lockscreen) wich has this feature?
Please help :l

No help?
Swyped from my GT-I9100 using xda
It's a Sense 3.5 feature which can't, or at least hasn't been ported to other roms.
But you could try to use volume control from the market. It can create a shortcut to the notification bar. So you could quickly change volume.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA
Oh, okay
Is it just a shortcut or a real volume bar? Have been searching for something like this for some time but only found shortcuts...
Thanks anyway for the help
Just tried volume control from rubberbigpepper and it's awesome. I don't know why I never saw that :O

It's only a shortcut.
I know that some sense 2.1+3.0 have a volume bar in the quick settings tab of the notification bar. So maybe there is also a 2.0/2.1 rom with it, but I'm not sure.

Try SensEvolution. Very good, stable ROM, with volume in Quick Settings.

Used sensevolution for a day but AnDroid seems to be the better way for me.
What I noticed is that the proximity sensor bugs around in every sense2 rom I try -.-
When I call someone and get the phone off my head the screen won't turn on until the other person hangs up, and that's really annoying.. .

Hey y'all
I'm using marius.a's ICS ROM (found here) but would like to activate the trackball to wake up the phone.
I've tried ButtonRemapper (no option for trackball) and WidgetLocker (trackball wake option) doesn't work
Can anyone extract the trackball wake for me or point me in the right direction???
Yes, me too. Really like marius.a's ROM. If it could be wake on by track ball, it will be better.

Helloo All,
I just installed SuPrimo v30.0 on my HTC one V. Working like a charm. I would like to know if it is possible to the functionality of the recent app button back as it was on HTC One V Stock ROM?
On this ROM, when i press recent app button, it brings up the setting menu.
If I switch the synaptics-rmi-touchscreen.kl from my original backup, will it work???
Thanks! :fingers-crossed:
Try long pressing the recent apps button. That should bring up the recent apps.

I don't think there's a way to change it without flashing a new rom... sorry
you do get used to it though cuz most roms are set up this way
R: [Q] Recent app button on SuPrimo v30.0
You can try myONEv rc9, it is almost all like stock but so much faster and stable. And it has that recent apps thing. Also suprimo is discontinued and won't be supported anymore, the dev of myONEv and my sense is very active and helps you with any kind of problem

Hi,
Just wanted to know if there are any gesture unlocking mods a available for the One X similar to the blackberry 10
Sent from my Awesome HTC One X using XDA Premium
I am not familiar with the blackberry feature but I had a quick play to see if I could do this with tasker and secure settings but could not get it to work straight off. Does not mean its not possible, have a play if you have more time. Would be useful if it didn't kill battery.

I tried searching online but to no avail. I understand that such a mod would require kernel integration. But has anyone had any luck in doing that? Perhaps swiping through the 3 soft buttons below the screen?
Sent from my Awesome HTC One X using XDA Premium
Swipe to unlock (run through capacitive button to unlock) is quite commom.
