[Q] RootBox - SMS works MMS stuck at sending - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Using RootBox-JB-l900-Nightly-20130514.zip on a clean flash. Even when I was using PA 3.15 I has this issue with SMS working and sending but MMS was stuck on sending. Used the default messaging application and still nothing.
Do I need to adjust any advanced settings to make MMS work?

Quick update.
I flashed the new RootBox 4.0 rom, followed by the Matrix kernel, then gapps. All is working. MMS stock app.

[Q] MMS doesn't work after installing custom rom (Oxygen 2.0RC2)

I've been having problems getting MMS to work properly with custom roms. I can receive MMS messages, but when I send, the person receiving my mms gets a "unsupported media type" error. The other person has a completely stock (not rooted) HTC Desire as well.
I had Cyanogen 6.1 installed, mms didn't send properly. Installed Oxygen 2.0 RC2, mms still didn't work. Installed a stock HTC sense rom, no mms still.
However, I believe MMS worked with ChompSMS and Cyanogen 6.1.
I used a RUU exe to completely return my phone back to it's original stock condition and mms worked perfectly.
Then I installed APN backup and restore to backup my APN settings, rooted my phone again, installed Oxygen 2.0 RC2, deleted the existing APN settings that came with the rom and restored my backed up APN settings. Sending MMS messages doesn't work once again.
I wiped data/caches between each rom installation and I've compared APN settings to another HTC Desire on the same network (Telus)
Can anyone help?
I have Oxygen 2.0 RC2 installed again and ChompSMS works sending and receiving mms. The stock Messaging app does not.

[Q] Evo 4G running CM7. Can send MMS can not receive MMS

I flashed my friends Evo 4G with CM7.02
He is using the stock texting app that comes with CM7.
He can send SMS fine. He can receive SMS fine. He can send MMS fine.
He can't receive MMS. They show up as an inline "download" button. Sent MMS show the picture inline. When you hit the download button it says "downloading" and never comes back.
He upgraded to CM7.1.0 and is STILL experiencing the same issue.
Is there a fix for this aside from installing Go SMS pro?
Did he install with a fresh install. Make sure he doesn't remove the stock messaging app as well.
Also, using wifi or 3/4G?
I am the guy with the evo
It doesn't work with wifi or 3/4G. I'm using the stock messaging app installed with CM7.

Howd did you go about your install of the rom?
I followed the walkthrough from xda here which IIRC was something like
Root phone
Install cwm
Clear 3 caches
Install rom
Reboot
Reinstall apps and accounts
I was having this issue for a long time and wiping/reloading seems to only temporarily fix the issue. I finally found a method elsewhere that works perfectly.
-Download Root Explorer (remember you have a 15 minute refund period on the Market)
-Navigate to /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/
-Press and hold on the telephony.db and delete it
-Reboot the phone and voila!
I tried downloading an old message and it wouldn't download so I had a friend send me an MMS and *boom* I was able download his image as well as the old ones that I was never able to get.

Is the theme compatible with SRF 1.2?
I'd try clearing the data/cache of the voicemail program. Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Voicemail
If that doesn't work, then boot into CWM and use the fix permissions feature under the advanced menu.

[REQUEST] CM10.1 MMS on sense

Hi,
I could successfully install mms from CM10.1 on Sense 4.2.2, there is only one feature that is not working..
When I try to create a shortcut to direct sends sms to someone, the application opens but the TO field is empty.. Anyone knows how can it be fixed?
I choose to use this mms app because of it's layout and quick reply dialog..

Does the dark theme works for you? It didn't when I tried... Have reverted to Sense SMS now, so I cannot test your shortcut problem.
It also has issues with MMS not sending properly. I've also tried it with AOKP mms app too.

Ok, thanks for confirming. I just reinstalled and now I can't even find the dark theme option :-/.
Anyhow. I tested shortcut to direct message and I there is already a thread for this recipient in the sms program it goes directly to it. If there is no previous messages for this recipient it goes to empty to field as you descripe..

The one I had, was from the 24/7 nightly and strangly the options is not there, though I have an older where it is, but not working.
Thanks for the version which works for you. I will keep for later. I have in the mean time download the mms from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2376846
It is already dark (but light seems broken). It has the same problem with direct message shortcut, it only works for recipient already in the message list.

You must clear data of mms apk from Application Settings and delete the mms database - > go to /data/data/com.android.providers.telepohony/databases/ and delete the mmssms.db file. Reboot and mms sending will work.

Thanks! I'll try that ASAP and report back :good:
Nice, now there is just the sending from shortcut problem...
I tried that, but it's still stuck on sending. I've been trying to fix for it since I got the HTC One. I'm running ARHD 12.1 Rom and I just want the MMS apk from AOKP/CM10.1 since I'm used to it with my DesireHD. Thanks for your help

I am also on ARHD 12.1 and I did the following procedure.
1. Moved Mms.apk to /system/app/
2. Changed permission of Mms.apk to rw-r-r.
3. Deleted the htc messaging apk.
4. Deleted the mmssms.db file
5. Restarted my phone, deleted dalvik and cache in recovery.
6. Booted into system and deleted all cache and app data from settings-app settings-Messaging.apk.
7. Rebooted again and it worked.
Worked on GoogleEdition Mms.apk and CM10.1 Mms.apk.
Try to do it all over again, delete everything and redo my steps,it must work.

Hmm.. Messaging stops working when I try to add a contact when sending text message. First, it says Messaging stopped working (when adding contact first), then "Com.Android.Mms" stopped working (when adding text first, then contact).

This is really strange, I have never had a single issue. Did you use the exact procedure?
Maybe you can try mms apk from the ge edition first. I used the one from ARHD GE 2.0.

I used the exact procedures with different MMS apks (AOKP and CM10.1). Are they the same or different? I'll research first. I know it's weird,

[Q] Ting MMS issues with Cyanogenmod (CM11)

I know a lot of people have had issues using Cyanogenmod on MVNO networks, mostly with data services. I was able to find a fix in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340437&highlight=s3.
The CM10.2 fix worked straight from installing the .zip in clockworkmod, but for the CM11 fix I had to overwrite the "apns-conf.xml file" in the "CM11/system/etc" .zip, and then flash the whole CM11.zip after factory resetting my phone. I was finally able to get LTE service this way.
However, my issue is that I still can't send MMS, even though the mmsc is already set to "http://mms.plspictures.com" which is the MMS URL for Ting. Has anyone figured out a fix for this, or why it's happening?
EDIT: Just figured it out.
Part 1: So after flashing a working APN list to get LTE, I downloaded a messaging app that allows you to input MMS settings within the app. I'm using 8sms, but Hangouts might work too. I just used the MMS settings from the working APN list. I tried it on the stock app and it didn't work.
Part 2: I'm only able to send/receive SMS when data AND wi-fi are both enabled, I'm not sure why. I'm also updated to CM 11 M8, so I'm not sure if this would have worked on earlier versions. It's weird because I know that I was able to get MMS over data alone on 10.2
