I've been playing dungeon hunter 4 on my note 2. I noticed the screen got really hot where the control virtual buttons are, but noting abnormal. Now that I stopped playing for a week, I noticed there seems to be a damaged spot where the game virtual controller was. It looks like a smudge. I clean it and it goes away, but about 5 mins later it comes back.
I attached a pic, the light makes look worse, but it is visible.
Could the screen get too hot and get damaged from playing a game?
Is there a screen cover on the phone.

no, no screen cover.
I would say it looks like the oleopholic layer is wearing out or breaking down from the oils of your finger. First I have ever seen of it. I would contact samsung.

I am very careful with my phone, screen protector, case, never dropped. Pulled it out of my pocket this afternoon and noticed a small pink area just over the button and to the left lower corner of the screen. as the evening progressed the area is now larger, about the size of a quarter over the button and near the corner.
Not sure what the hell is causing this, i'll try and post some pictures.
Attached image,
sorry for crappy resolution, was with an iphone.

The screen is bleeding from the lower mid to left of the screen, i can see the text and images under the colored area fine, To me it looks like the screen has separated. The touch screen is working fine. I have no idea how it happened, I do know that it was never dropped and never came in contact with water.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Has happened to mine as well. I have a pink dot in the middle of the left side of the screen. I read that it is a defect in the screen. It's annoying an want to turn it in on warranty but can't be without my phone for a month.

I'll have to send it out,its now 1/4 the way up the screen. I'll have to use my Iphone for a while till this guy comes back.. From preliminary talks with Bell, they sound like they will push the "You dropped it" card... it will be hard to prove for them cause the lack of any physical damage, but hey, they are douche bags after all.
So this is as of 2 mins ago.
It's crazy, by tomorrow it will be 1/2 the screen!.
Update - The screen is now completely Blue with a dark blue section near the bottom.

the more i look at it, the more i think water got inside your phone 0_0
I've never seen water do that to a display.
It wasn't water, It's under warranty so it's being replaced, so i'm happy about that. Showed it to the "support Tech" and the response i got was "Holy Sh*t"
It was a screen defect where the AMOLED display actually separated .
My buddy has the Note 2 and has these pink **** on it not on outside of screen though. Wondering what is it and how it got there.

Looks like pressure damage to the oled. Has he sat on it? Or kept it in tight pockets while sitting? Under seatbelt buckle in car? Etc the pink on oled/LCD screens is usually bleed from damage, but can also occur from extreme temps especially going from extreme cold into hot inside in the winter as the liquid inside the screen starts to freeze around 28°F if the device is off.
I like to break stuff!
Just a warning guys... The screen can take a hell of a beating, but that doesn't mean the LCD can... Ill post a picture later.
Are LCD's really in the hundreds? Is it worth it?
On e4gt? There some what tough but fragile as an egg compared to the Sgs 1 4.0 display screen. Plus this one scratches easy. My sgs 1 took a year of drop test for real. I tried to break it and could not. I tried this phone from 2 ft and shattered. Was going in for Insurance for water damage so had to try

Really? I've purposefully keyed my screen just to show it doesn't scratch.
Im easy on mine and ive had scratches on previous 3 e4gt. This one has zagg hd.

I've dropped mine several times, and the case and battery always go flying, but overall, the phone is pretty well built. Better than the EVO I had that cracked around the edge in several places and eventually came apart!

I don't think anything in any type of case would survive such a drop. Maybe a Nokia stick phone. But that's about it.

thank god it wasnt my phone lol... I wonder how a defender would have taken it tho..
We were out on our bikes today and my friend wanted to mount it to his gas tank and used double sided velcrow.. It worked fine at normal speeds, but in the high 100s, that thing flewwwwwwwwww!
If it was realky anywhere near that fast its not that bad, yeah it's f***ed but it's not totally blown apart..

Yeah but that was the shear impact that destroyed it. Defender has it's own screen protector to cover the screen. Nothing more than a thin piece of plastic. I actually feel the commuter has more impact protection cause it has the harder case behind the soft shell thus dispersing the impact over a wider area allowing the soft shell to absorb it. And like I said, I highly doubt anything would have survived that.

the OP said the below: it's not normal driving speeds anywhere in the US, unless on the track, so they were speeding.

Hi, I was planning to sell my n2 to get the 3,it's in perfect condition with every accessory still in its packaging, however i think i won't get much on it since i have huge smudge on the top left of the screen. I dunno what caused it but I'm thinking it's due to playing tennis game on it a bit. Has anyone else experienced this?
Any solution?

Those are finger marks, you're right that it's caused by games. Notice there's 3 areas affected, where the directional pad is and where I'd assume there's buttons A and B in that game. And that's why I use a screen protector. If you don't then you can get the glass replaced, not recommended as it's not 100% safe.
It's probably the oleo phobic coating rubbed out in those areas. They do sell oleophobic replacement kits online. Try it out.

come now, it's a phone and not a suite of armour. anything subjected to daily rubbing in 1 certain spot will show wear and tear. Your logic is disappointing
