Screen over button and left corner bleeding pink blue. - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I am very careful with my phone, screen protector, case, never dropped. Pulled it out of my pocket this afternoon and noticed a small pink area just over the button and to the left lower corner of the screen. as the evening progressed the area is now larger, about the size of a quarter over the button and near the corner.
Not sure what the hell is causing this, i'll try and post some pictures.

Attached image,
sorry for crappy resolution, was with an iphone.

The screen is bleeding from the lower mid to left of the screen, i can see the text and images under the colored area fine, To me it looks like the screen has separated. The touch screen is working fine. I have no idea how it happened, I do know that it was never dropped and never came in contact with water.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Has happened to mine as well. I have a pink dot in the middle of the left side of the screen. I read that it is a defect in the screen. It's annoying an want to turn it in on warranty but can't be without my phone for a month.

I'll have to send it out,its now 1/4 the way up the screen. I'll have to use my Iphone for a while till this guy comes back.. From preliminary talks with Bell, they sound like they will push the "You dropped it" card... it will be hard to prove for them cause the lack of any physical damage, but hey, they are douche bags after all.

So this is as of 2 mins ago.
It's crazy, by tomorrow it will be 1/2 the screen!.
Update - The screen is now completely Blue with a dark blue section near the bottom.
This morning image

the more i look at it, the more i think water got inside your phone 0_0

I've never seen water do that to a display.
It wasn't water, It's under warranty so it's being replaced, so i'm happy about that. Showed it to the "support Tech" and the response i got was "Holy Sh*t"
It was a screen defect where the AMOLED display actually separated .

What is the weird pale spot on my screen?

There is this strange pale spot on my Evo's screen. It is not a stuck pixel, and I am not sure what it is really haha. It almost looks like there is a tiny pin hole in the screen or something that is letting the back light escape. I have never seen this in a screen and am having a hard time explaining it.
Anyone know what I am talking about?
Take a picture so we could see

I'm assuming its brighter than the rest of the screen? If so its probably damage from pressure. It didn't crack the screen but it did damage it. I had 3 of them before I got my replacement.
Im not sure I will be able to get it in a picture but I will try to take one tomorrow some time.

Actually it isn't brighter but it seems like the back light is shining through or something. Ill get a picture.

Yeah, it doesn't really bother me. I only really notice it when the screen is bright white. I was just mainly curious as to what it was. My camera is still in storage apparently as I just moved. When I dig it out I will post a pic.
Just wanted to post that the problem I mentioned has been brought up by several others in the following thread. No picture required!

How bad are ur AMOLED ink spots?

So if u don't already know pretty much all of our s3 phones have black ink spots on the screen when viewing a black background at night time or somewhere really dark. If u don't believe me download the LCD test, go to black color picture wait a few seconds for ur eyes to adjust and ur screen to auto dim in the dark.. and ull see a bunch of stains.
I'm just wondering how bad is too bad?
I have 2 curved lines down the length on the screen and a few other stains. I just want to have an idea if I should replace my screen with hope that I will get less spots or smaller spots than now.
Please post ur ink imperfections here..
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Probably like 6-7 q-tip sized ones. Maybe a little smaller.
=D I only have one spot that looks like some one stroked it with a QTip. Dead center in the screen.
Personally I'd rather have 8 of these marks instead of just one, DEAD CENTER OF MY SCREEN. Brings out the OCD in me.

Don't know and don't care, the phone works perfectly fine for me, no need to be all nit picky over small issues
I refuse to look, if I don't see it now, I won't notice it under normal use. If I do this and see it, I'll constantly dwell on it.
sounds like i got it pretty bad lol
i have about a shirt-button sized circle on the top center as well as a few other random little spots. Doesn't bother me though.
I don't have any.. let's see how many flaws my replacement has :\

That couldn't be more true, but some of us paid a lot for this phone. It's not an issue at all when you think about it, but once you do notice it, it becomes a psychological issue and it upsets the user.

The spots are like backlight bleed. I don't think a tester will show anything...
I had this issue with my S2; the refurbished one had them everywhere. When I got my S3, I didn't notice a thing! Thanks for the awareness though.
***t screens.
just saying.
colors are nice, but at what cost. i would trade an HTC LCD screen for this one any day
What's so bad about the ink spots though? Since you can't see it when the screen is or off. Only when it's dark.

[Q] Purple lines in pictures

Recently in pictures i have noticed a purple splotch/line towards the bottom right of every picture i've taken. Curious as to if anyone has seen this before.
Phone has been dropped but not from any extreme height, and i have a body glove case on it. Part of me thinks there is some fuzz on the sensor behind the lens. Will be taking it to sprint soon as the purple bits seem to be multiplying.

Intentionally left that size so it could be clearly seen. Resizes to browser window on my end in chrome.
From what i can see looking back in pictures, has shown up in the last couple of weeks.
Its a blacklight picking up what you left on your desktop!
Yeah its probly something that is caught in the lens, have sprint fix it. Are you stock?

Yes I am stock. I've actually been happy with the stock firmware on the S3 thus far.
Turned out to be bad pixels in the camera according to sprint rep. They replaced the camera and all is well.

Nexus 4 screen dots

It looks really cool doesn't it?
Kind of like a magic hologram that only appears in sunlight
from what I understand, you can see that because the glass protecting the display is real thin.
Its just the touch point sensors on the digitizer. It does look cool in sunlight tho Lol

Thanks, but it also normal, that when the screen is lit, these dots sometimes manifested on the screen? I mean they are barely visible at some angles?
I used to have the same dots on my iPod Touch 4G, and saw it on friends' iPhones. It's completely normal for a phone that utilizes IPS technology.

Not for every device. You can't see it on the I9000 (although you can see the copper wire running underneath it, but that does not cover the entire screen.)

Where? I own an i9000 and I've never spotted the copper wire.
They look neat. I've also seen the same dots on a tempered glass screen protector. I was told the dots were there because of the process they use to harden the glass..

I am on my 3rd Optimus G and haven't had and dead spots. I am assuming you are referring to pixels. There was someone on IRC who had an OG with a broke screen. His issue was half the screen didn't come on. I am not sure if that was a hardware issue or if it was physically broke.
I have only had one screen issue and it was on all three OG I have had. There is a bit of light leak on the edges and top. Light leak is when the back light of the screen shines around the edges on a dark screen. I think that is a common universal issue. But, the screen is very vivid and not many people have had complaint about it.
Can you clarify you issue? We might be able to give you some ideas. If you are the original purchaser it is under warranty still. If not, I recommend TEP. If you are on XDA then TEP is a must.

What happened to the previous 2?
when i run my finger across the screen in the middle it wont detect my touch. if i turn on the options in the developers setting to see what its doing you can see when it traces a line, it skips in the middle and starts again about a half inch later. only had the phone for a week or so, so thats not a problem. had a similiar issue on my evo shift way back when. had to take it to sprint store then too. any way i have an appt at 9 to have them take a look at it
