For Tapatalk I had to turn off notifications for PMs(as I never get them anyhow) to make this go down dramatically.

Turn off location services for google apps. Sign out of Google talk if you're not already. Try that and see if it helps.

Dude read posts.
Turn off any notifications like Tapatalk, Facebook, etc...
Google settings like location services.
Learn hpw to manage apps and close them out properly. Every once in a while I'll go through TouchWiz Manager and end all apps even though I know some of the apps I haven't even opened or they might just still been opened up.
Like I said your maps app is taking location which kills your battery faster.
Your email app is probably on auto sync which means it's constantly syncing itself constantly on a connection that is constantly getting information back and forth hence killing your battery.
Beautiful widgets if that is also on auto sync which means it's taking your connection again and constantly syncing for info and data.

So if I disable auto sync and all that, will I get the notifications late or not at all?

Not at all. Its not too much of a big deal I mean I just still go into my email app and just hit refresh just to see if there's anything new and is much better for battery life than having to be on auto sync because Its not constantly having to sync every second.

I suggest going to the link in my signature and reading the ENTIRE OP. You will then better understand these specific wakelocks and how to better manage them.
Oh and btw please don't "bump" again. People will respond to this thread when and if they choose.

Is My Data Being Hacked?

I've been throttled a lot and really dodn't feel like I do all of that much. Here's the scoop.
The start date for my plan is the 25th of each month. I'm on the 5GB unlimited plan. I use my Nexus One to tether and have been for several months. You can get away with it on native android.
Today i decided to check my data usage. In 4 days in which I have done some surfing, but mostly on wifi, (I had not been tethering at all during this period) I've use 856MB of data! I haven't downloaded more than a handful of apps and most of what I do is go to message boards.
So today I went online to check it out. Last night I used84mb at 3:21AM while asleep and my phone was on wifi!
Something fishy is going on!
What think you all? Have I been hacked?
Are you leaving a wifi hotspot app on?
What email are you using? Gmail or something else? When my wife was using Yahoo it was eating the data like crazy.
Download traffic monitor from the market an see what is using data and how much.

I use gmail. I also have yahoo, but didn't put it on my phone til today. Ill try traffic monitor, bit that still doesn't explain massive MB of data usage at one time. Especially when I'm on wifi.

Do you have the my account app installed? Regardless if you are on Wi-Fi or not is uses your data to sync with T-Mobile

Dont listen to these people, google, yahoo, the tmobile app, no app will waste THAT much data in such a short time, there's definitely something werd going on
Here are screenshots of gmail and the my account app and the data they have used in 18 days

Yeah. There's definitely something going on. Now my usage has dropped to almost nothing. T-Mobile may be playing tricks on me, trying to get me to upgrade my data or something.
When I update i generally do it on wifi, and I have very few games, all of which are of the small variety...you know, angrybirds and Pew Pew. I do have Sim City, but again I try to update on wifi and have NOTHING set to automatic update.

Twitter contacts sync still broken

Twitter updated to 3.1.1 on the Market yesterday.
Contacts sync is still not working. Just thought I would pass this along if not posted already.

The contact sync issue is almost certainly related to their security problem in February. I think they purposely still have it off.

We're talking about contacting syncing in this thread and yours is broken too.
If you want twitter sync to work go to 4shared and download an older version of Twitter, resync and there you have it.

[TIP]- How to get custom notification toggles without root or flashing.

Hello peeps.. so I decided to share a nice trick that has been working amazingly well for me. If you want to add things like flash light.. mobile data...brightness control to your notification area head on over to the play store and get Notification Toggle. Let's you customize whichever toggles you'd like. Also let's you download and change the icons to each toggle.. really fresh and I have been rocking it for a while with no issues. For those who don't know about this app.. knock yourself out!!

Okay i noticed a small problem. You know for using notification toggle you need to enable it under accessibility settings. Some how this is partly turning on the talk back accessibility service. When you pinch to collapse home screens or apps in drawer, it starts talking. Anyone else having this problem?
Sent from my SGH-T999
Turn talk back off. its right above the notification toggle on/off switch. You might have turned it on accidently.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Talk back is turned off, that's the first thing i checked. The talk back happens only when pinching home screen and app drawer. If talk back is on it talks for every screen touch any where, which is not happening.
Sent from my SGH-T999
I have the same problem. Turn off toggle notification in the accessibility section. It will still work just won't stay on top in the ongoing notification section. But all other notifications won't. Not a big deal to me...talk back was really irritating.
Check out my screen shot.

There a couple things you can try.
1) Disable wifi network location in system settings > location. Wording can be different depending on the ROM.
2) Ensure all Google apps are on the /data partition. This way you can Greenify them. Maps is really bad about running when it isn't supposed to be. These can all be obtained from the play store, and have no business being on the system partition in any custom ROM.
3) After you do that, open Maps, go to Settings > Location settings. Make sure everything is disabled.

What I can think of is Gtalk or whatsapp making it stay awake a bit. But the Telephone x510 looks pretty worrysome also, is the NSA spying on you or have you installed some weird app from the net?
Also do you have any weather widgets or such that update/reloads in the background?

I think that you have a bit too much to pinpoint the problem without some sheer luck. I would suggest a factory reset and then slowly try install apps. Don't use greenify and start freezing stuff right away, I read freezing wrong stuff can cause some other things to wakelock like mad.

As wakelock detector noticed, you had 510 wakelocks on telephone in 1.5h, even if it doesn't drain anything it's probably what keeps your phone from sleeping. You could try uninstall apps that uses phone and see if anything gets better.
